Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Return to the [Wandering Deserted Island] Training World

After a short period of visualization, Lin Qianyi felt he had nearly exhausted the medicinal power and began to feel slightly fatigued.

He tested his interference value again [87].

That was quite a noticeable increase.

Lin Qianyi figured that if he consumed the entire nutrient solution, his interference value might even double.

This would translate to a substantial improvement in physical attributes. He might even be considered a little superhero by then.

Suddenly, Lin Qianyi thought of something he wanted to see the interference value of that Super Sea God Grass.

But then he worried: this is the Qiongtian Realm, where many powerful beings exist. Would some AI or system detect him?

That concern quickly passed. He reasoned that the small secrets he carried weren't worth the Federation's attention. Besides, privacy protection laws clearly defined the limits of personal data collection. As long as you didn't break the law, small secrets generally remained safe.

With a thought, he retrieved the Super Sea God Grass. The green glow and warm sensation filled him once again.

He looked at it through the detection goggles.

[207]!

Damn that's powerful!

But still not quite at Tier One. Based on the classification system, it was probably around Tier 0.2.

Even so, that was already impressive.

The only issue was, Lin Qianyi still wasn't sure how best to use it.

After putting it away, he took another sip of the nutrient solution and resumed cultivation.

Over the next few days, Lin Qianyi continued to visit the planting zone daily to record logs, and drank nutrient solutions to assist with Dao Pattern visualization.

During this time, he also had a few brief exchanges with that humanoid vine. He learned her name was Bao Bao.

A weird name, honestly.

She was still trying to lure Lin Qianyi into her territory but he didn't fall for it.

He hadn't seen Gao Chen recently. According to Ji Ruixiang, he had gone out on business.

Unlike Lin Qianyi, Gao Chen already had his Bachelor's certificate. He remained at the school only to use its resources.

For reference, the senior sister and second senior brother were also technically registered at the school but were running their own businesses elsewhere.

One day, Lin Qianyi's clover matured.

Upon harvesting, he obtained a normal-quality product, with the trait [Sweeter].

Just a bit more sugary and that's it.

Lin Qianyi was speechless.

He planted another batch of clover after the harvest.

There really weren't many other good plants worth gambling traits on. Among ordinary plants, this one was most suited for "mystical trait luck."

If he got lucky with a high-quality product and a trait related to luck that would be a huge win.

The next day, he also harvested two matured Sea God Grass plants both normal quality, no side effects or noteworthy traits.

That same night, he finished the nutrient solution Ji Ruixiang had given him.

His interference value reached [159].

Lin Qianyi could now clearly feel his physical enhancements stamina, jump height, push/pull strength, reflexes, hearing, smell, digestion all improved significantly.

The [Body Enhancement] Dao Pattern was an extremely well-rounded enhancement.

When his interference value was at [142], he could lift up to 154 kg with one arm, as measured in the school's gym.

Now, he estimated that it should exceed 160–170 kg.

He stood on his new scale his weight hadn't increased much: now only 83 kg.

Previously, he weighed 74 kg. Considering his enhancements, a minor weight increase was impressive.

It showed just how refined the [Body Enhancement] Dao Pattern was no redundant bulk or fat added.

He had seen other poorly constructed Dao Patterns in entertainment media. They required excessive muscle or fat for bursts of strength not attractive and full of side effects.

In contrast, the [Body Enhancement] pattern had been refined by generations of designers to near perfection almost no side effects.

Fully condensing the pattern might only raise an evolver's weight by 20–30 kg, with minimal visual change.

And that extra mass actually provided benefits better durability, and explosive strength.

Once Lin Qianyi fully condensed this Dao Pattern, his single-arm lifting power would reach over 10,000 kg, and a punch could easily reach tens of thousands of kilograms in force.

That was standard for first-tier evolvers with body-based specialties.

After slowly leveling up for a few days, Lin Qianyi got a little restless.

He decided to enter the training world again.

First, to find a good firearm for ranged combat.

Second, to study the Super Sea God Grass in that world.

Third, to obtain more Sea God Grass and hopefully more Super Sea God Grass.

That night, already fully prepared, Lin Qianyi called upon the Main God but got no response.

He thought for a moment, and mentally called out: "Enter training space!"

Almost immediately, his surroundings turned pitch-black.

He had returned to the training space.

The massive light-orb Main God hovered silently who knows how long it had existed?

"Main God, I want to exchange time to enter the training world," Lin Qianyi said.

[Training Participant Lin Qianyi how many days in the Wandering Deserted Island world do you wish to exchange for?]

"One hundred days," he replied.

He chose a conservative number.

He could always return later and exchange more time no rush.

[10 points deducted. Exchange complete.]

[Wandering Deserted Island] World

In an instant, Lin Qianyi was back on the shabby wooden raft.

A cargo ship approached. The few people on the raft looked both excited and overwhelmed even the normally calm He Yanghui had tears in his eyes.

Soon, the cargo ship arrived.

After confirming their identity, crew members used hoists to bring them aboard.

He Yanghui and Su Mandong's identities were confirmed especially Su Mandong's the Sea God Corporation responded quickly.

Later, they changed into crew uniforms and were eating and discussing in a room.

Su Mandong read a newspaper from the captain while munching bread.

"It's not that the government didn't send rescue teams," she said after swallowing a bite. "They just couldn't find the Sea God Island..."

She flipped through the paper quickly. The authorities had searched the surrounding area many times, but the island where they lived for three months wasn't on satellite maps.

"Probably due to some strange magnetic interference," He Yanghui speculated.

"More importantly, when are we returning to Xianghao Country?" Lin Qianyi asked.

"I asked. In about five days," Su Mandong replied.

"Great!" Reina said with joy.

Zhou Hong, however, didn't look happy as a criminal, returning meant facing justice.

Everyone noticed his expression.

"Mr. Zhou, you don't need to worry for now," Su Mandong suddenly said.

"Why?" he asked, confused.

"Because Zhou Hong is dead," she replied. "You're Zhou Yun, a villager from Manduo Village. I've contacted my company. Changing someone's identity isn't hard."

On the island, Su Mandong had been the weakest.

But in society, especially backed by a giant like the Sea God Corporation and being a high-level manager herself she could easily handle such things.

Zhou Hong couldn't believe she would do this for him especially since he had once tried to kill her.

Overcome with guilt and emotion, he called her "Sister Su" and wanted to kneel and apologize.

After all, this was like being reborn calling her sister was the least he could do.

"No need for that," Su Mandong said. "We all survived hardship together. Helping you is within my power just a small gesture."

But with this, Zhou Yun was firmly under her control.

"From now on, you'll work in my company's security department. Starting salary: 20,000 yuan a month."

Deadly move.

For Zhou Yun, who used to make just over 2,000 this was beyond a dream.

With Zhou Hong's matter settled, the focus turned to He Yanghui, Reina, and Lin Qianyi.

Su Mandong skipped over Reina and Lin Qianyi for now, but offered He Yanghui a job.

He hesitated. His sense of justice made him uncomfortable but the money weighed heavily.

In the end, he agreed.

After more discussion and agreeing to keep the island secret, everyone went their own ways.

Lin Qianyi and Reina stayed with Su Mandong for now. Their relationship was complicated survival stress had drawn them close on the island.

Now that they were back, social complications needed addressing.

Su Mandong wasn't bothered to her, future arrangements mattered more than past feelings.

Eventually, Lin Qianyi and Reina agreed to join Sea God Corp and finish their education while working for her.

To be honest, Su Mandong only really valued Lin Qianyi Reina was just along for the ride.

That night, Lin Qianyi didn't stay with them. He roomed with He Yanghui and Zhou Hong.

Reina and Su Mandong had their own room.

Due to limited space, these rooms were made available by squeezing some crew members together.

Under the night sky, Lin Qianyi wasn't sleepy. Lying in bed, he considered his future plans.

In this world, the Main God hadn't granted him any resources building from scratch would be impossible.

So for now, he'd live off others.

Fortunately, he didn't mind. He had confidence that he would repay that investment many times over.

> "Shall I try visualizing?"

He closed his eyes and attempted to visualize Dao Patterns using his consciousness in this world.

A moment later, he opened his eyes.

It worked.

The consciousness retained all the same info as the original body since the main body could visualize, so could he.

Thinking more, he pulled out his interference detector from storage.

Putting it on, he scanned this body.

[84].

Sure enough blind cultivation without Dao Patterns had much lower returns.

As the saying goes: Resources, Companions, Techniques, and Environment money is key, but without technique (法), you won't get far.
