In this world, one where ninjas lived in a cycle of conflict that never seemed to end, the tides of fate, and the cogs of space-time began to change their patterns, and what was once uniform had a new element added to it, a variable.
If there was anything certain about the undefined, it was the fact that it breeds uncertainty.
The world was supposed to be destined to go one way, one tale was going to be told, but now, something unforeseen had happened, and the story was not going to be the same.
The birth of a child that should not have been, one who was not part of the original plan, an act that simply by itself brought change even if it was corrected right now, there were already ramifications in place.
Before even that though, a lot happened, and it all led up to him.
In ancient times in the world of Naruto, the people were all just normal, with no supernatural elements whatsoever, and they lived simply trying to make the best of a world far from understood, having a farming-based society from the olden ages, it was a rather simple world.
However in a world of change, such could never last forever.
So it came, or well, she came, the woman who would in time be known as Rabbit Goddess, the mirror image of the moon goddess, Kaguya had descended on a mission accompanied by a man named Isshiki from her same clan, the Otsutsuki clan.
Coming down to earth, there was a man with pale skin, and a long, curving horn which grew from his left brow and wrapped around the back of his skull before jutting outward from his right temple, resembling a crown. His right eye was a Kokugan, while his left eye was a Byakugan.
He bore matching tattoos on his chest and back: on his chest was a vertical column of six magatama or tomoe topped with an emblem resembling a black mallet across his chest, and on his back was a vertical column of six smaller black mallet emblems.
His hair, right eyebrow, and goatee were pale blue trimmed short with unusual alternating zigzag patterns resembling the hair parts worn by other members of his clan, while his fingernails and toenails were painted in deep black.
He dressed in an elegant, slim-cut, white long-sleeved tailcoat with maroon lining and cuffs and an oversized collar that folded back upon itself over his bare muscular torso, over a pair of baggy black pants that often covered his bare feet.
The coat was embroidered with patterns matching his tattoos, with vertical columns comprised of eight magatama designs on the sleeves, and a similar pattern on the back, with the second magatama replaced with the black mallet emblem.
"Would you look at that? This lowly ball of dirt is the planet that can grow a mid to high-tier God tree? Huh, I won't believe it until I see it." Isshiki looked down at the inferior planet with dead eyes that could not care less for the ants that acted as its inhabitants.
Right beside him, there she was, Kaguya.
She had grey beige skin and soft facial features. She had extremely long, sweeping white hair.
Kaguya possessed white clear eyes and her eyebrows were cut very short and round a symbol of nobility.
She wore a high-collared hime-kimono which had tomoerunning down the centre and edges of the sleeves, and black stripes on the edges of the gown.
She was different from him, and was looking at the new world before her with marvel, it was so green, so full of life, unlike most planets, it was to her, so unique, so new. She had to see more of it.
"Kaguya! Stop being useless there, and start the preparations for the God tree. I swear, low-tier clansmen are getting too comfortable these days. Getting impressed by something so beneath them." Isshiki ordered with a snort, his face wrinkling at her reaction to this world. "And don't even say a thing, I don't need to hear that annoying voice of yours."
Kaguya bowed to him and began working immediately.
The Otsutsuki were star wanderers looking through space hoping to find a world that could carry the best God tree, on their collective mission towards Ascension, following in the footsteps of their god.
And to grow a God tree, an Otsutsuki must be used as a sacrifice that or a very long wait through thousands of years through of life and death, and that was Kaguya's job, a disposable pawn to abide in her colleague's journey to ascension while she stays the same, a lowly servant of the lower cast in her clan.
From there, since the Otsutsuki could eventually come back, even after this, she would come to be chosen again, and again to be sacrificed for ages to come before she can even dream of being anything more than that.
Unable to resign herself to such a fate, one that would repeat itself over and over again through the eons, Kaguya betrayed Isshiki and tried to feed him to the God tree instead, not having expected such rebellion from a low-tier member of the clan, Isshiki was caught off guard and had his lower half destroyed being left for dead.
Once that was done, she continued to cater to the God tree, in hopes of in time making the fruit her own.
Meanwhile, she watched the inhabitants of the planet through time, and the humans were once again, something new to her.
"Look at them, so simple, so fragile, and yet, they face their limited lives every day, even though it could just be their last… How interesting. I want to see more of these humans…" Kaguya commented as she watched the interactions between these beings.
In time, after a millennium, and once the wars that came and went fed the God tree to near completion, she was noticed by the humans, as the now massive tree always caught everyone's attention but she hid, however this time, she didn't, instead.
As a group of human men approached her cautiously she came down to meet them.
The first man looked her up and down partly in shock at her otherworldly look despite her very human-like appearance, and the other part being a result of her uncanny beauty.
"I!… Identify yourself! The emperor wishes to know the origin of this great tree!" He gulped after speaking, doing his best to contain the obvious blush.
"I am Kaguya, the guardian of the God tree. If your emperor wishes to know of me, then guide the way." She responded unbothered by their presence or reactions.
Finally, she had a chance to watch them up close, and she took it without a second thought.
(Amazing! I will get to see them up close! This is quite exciting!!!) She smiled to herself at the thought of getting to see and learn more.
Thus she was taken there and met the emperor.
"I am Tenji, the emperor, my subjects claim you are the guardian of the great tree that has been growing for ages, is that true?" The emperor asked with a raised eyebrow and having a hard time looking away from her.
"Yes, I am, Kaguya the guardian, and have always been, the God tree is my calling." She responded rather laxly about the matter.
This however had a reaction she did not expect as all the curious eyes on her from the court and even the emperor turned into greedy eyes, as the very prospect of immortality, of such eternal youthfulness, was something highly sought out.
After noticing this change in the air, she sighed.
(Oh humans, you are fools, and can't seem to see where you stand, but that's what makes it a beautiful tale. I want to see more, of the beauty and this ugliness I am now the center of, how intriguing.) Kaguya thought to herself with a smile.
"Always? How amazing! I had heard tales of the pale lady of the great tree, but to know that it is a God tree and you are the one and only one… Of course, I would request that you share your knowledge with us, and we will provide whatever we can." The emperor said and had his man encircle her ready if cooperation was denied.
"Enough! I will have to define things better from now on. Mind Mirror!" Kaguya using a technique from her clan, stopped them all, and altered their memories making herself the concubine of the emperor so she could continue to observe them closely.
From then on, her life became that of an imperial concubine, and she could wander and see humans at full display and they were much more complex than she imagined.
Though she kept her distance by being cold and quiet, so much so that she ends up being ignored or avoided by most people in fear of her rumored ruthless wrath.
Something that she will gladly redirect to anyone who did not earn her care in her eyes.
"They are so similar to my people… Were it not for their fragile weak bodies with no power, maybe things would be just the same… I can't let them become like that. I can help guide them to a better place, help make a peaceful world." She looked at the moon from the window in her room.
Then coming inside, Tenji walked into her wooden room and said.
"Kaguya, do you have a moment?" The question came as he held a sober expression.
"Yes, of course I do, Imperial majesty, please share your grievances." Kaguya bowed just like she was used to.
"Thank you. Lately, I have felt that things are not improving no matter what I try. I want the empire to thrive but everything just ends up collapsing each time." Tenji confessed as he sat at the coffee table in her room and sighed.
Without having to be told, Kaguya moved and served him tea before saying. "You hope for peace? I didn't take you for an idealist, but it will be hard since that's not what the members of your court want. Unless you rid yourself of them, it won't work."
"Hahaha! Of course, you would say that. I am not quite as decisive as that. I want to believe that we as people can come to an understanding if we just try. I don't want to start a war, I want to bring peace to everyone. I'm so naive, aren't I?" Tenji chuckled before he drank the tea she served.
"No. You are quite admirable to try and persevere in your values even when it's hard. Most people falter or give in to the pressure. You are quite strong, dear husband." She smiled widely hearing him.
"The cold Kaguya who won't spare a glance had nice words for the failing emperor, who would believe it?" Tenji questioned with a smile.
"No one, that's precisely why I can do it." Kaguya giggled at her own words.
From there, they would go on to talk and meet much more often than before, now having found common ground.
This led to her being assigned a personal servant named Aino, a young girl, who would now follow her around.
"Lady Kaguya! Today the flowers in your garden have bloomed, and they are truly beautiful! How do you do it, My lady?" Aino ran into the room where Kaguya was brushing her hair, and quickly moved to get the brush and do it herself.
"Took you long enough, Aino. You should not spend your time playing with flowers, you have to attend to me. Have you even had breakfast yet? Cause I have not." Kaguya said, but there was a smile that kept growing on her face.
(She's just how I used to be, so eager to help, but I wonder if she will grow bitter too? No, while I can't give her too much, would she forget her place, I can still give her more than I had.) Kaguya smiled even more to herself just at the thought.
After her hair was brushed, she took Aino with her to have breakfast, insisting she should eat with her to have the strength to serve.
In time, as she grew closer to Tenji, Kaguya became pregnant, which made things complicated.
While she was busy making sure to take care of herself for the babies with Aino's help, Tenji found himself unable to lean on her as much to push his views as he did not want to bother her during her pregnancy.
This left him tired, and those in his court with other views took this chance, slowly but surely pushing him in the direction they wanted.
The Land of Ancestors, their empire soon came into conflict with the Land of That, a neighboring nation.
After an accident caused a border dispute, things escalated quickly, as neither side wanted to back down.
To avoid war, Tenji secured a diplomatic meeting in his land and declared that anyone who attacked the representatives of the Land of That would be executed.
Unfortunately for him, those plotting to escalate the issue, and rid themselves of the obstacles to their ideologies orchestrated for the representatives of the Land of That to threaten Kaguya, and she ended up breaking the rule.
This led to her running away with Aino, back to where it all began, the God tree.
In all the time Kaguya waited, the fruit of the tree managed to mature, and she ate it.
After consuming the forbidden fruit, her hair grew even longer, dragging across the ground and her fingernails grew long and dark.
A third red eye with various black rings, and tomoe opened on her forehead, and she became the mother of chakra, wielder of the Rinne-Sharingan.
The first one in the world to wield chakra.
(I was betrayed by my husband in favor of some dignitaries who threatened our children… humans are already just like them. So, if they can't reach peace on their own, it must come by hand.) Kaguya concluded as the tears flowed down her face.
Her powers grew immensely and she used them to put a stop to all wars and to force the world into a state of peace.
Finally becoming known as the Rabbit Goddess to the world.
Once she achieved her goal, the reality of things set in, and the Otsutsuki clan would come to check in on her progress eventually, and once they found out she had eaten the fruit, things would not end well for her.
So she developed a technique, Infinite Tsukuyomi, an illusion that covered the entire world, transforming humans into white Zetsu, white plant-like beings, to build an army for herself.
(I need as many as I can make… But I can't get rid of all humans, so I'll keep a portion of them. The rest needs to be ready for when they come for me.) She decided to separate a part of the humans, before erasing their memories of the whole ordeal.
From there, the time came, and she gave birth to 3 children, and gave each of them her chakra as well.
Her third child was him, the guy who would be born to change the fate of this world.
The one who would bring about change to the story.
