Chapter 10 - 10. Scarred Past.

[ Mika threw it toward him like she had made a mistake. Yuki noticed it. ]

Yuki: Oh my god.

[ The ball splashed through the air, and slowly, Adam turned his neck toward the left. At the time he spots the ball, it's too late. The ball banged off his face and fell to the ground. ]

Yuki: What a shot!

[ He said, hiding his smile. ]

Km Yuki: I should be careful with her. Maybe I was her target.

[ Scene switches to Mika standing speechless, and Adam gets up and stands on his feet. ]

Mika: Oh-no, sorry! Sorry for you, Adam. I thought he would do something.

[ Scene cuts to Adam looking at Mika. ]

Adam: Am I looking like a goal post? WHAT IS SHE THINKING? But this is not football, though. Anyway, it can't be helped, like she would do that on purpose. Be careful.

[ He throws the ball back, scene cuts to Mika and May standing there. ]

May: You know, that was a good shot.

Mika: But I didn't do it on purpose. Yeah, I did it on purpose. But about him, maybe he didn't step in because it's not a big deal. Or Yuki is not willing to save him specifically.

May: Yeah, yeah, I know, even though. It's right on the spot.

[ A slight smile appears on her face. ]

Mika: You could say that.

[ Scene cuts to Adam and Yuki standing near the tree. A slight annoyance visible on his face. ]

Adam: Yuki, you didn't even give me a hand.

[ Yuki tried to talk in a calm tone, as if nothing happened. ]

Yuki: You didn't ask for it.

[ His eyes narrowed in annoyance. ]

Adam: From my perspective, you didn't step in because it's me.

Yuki: What're you looking at?

Adam: Nothing. And I have nothing to do with you.

Yuki: Idiot, if you need help, you should ask for it. And if I help him, he would be like, "Did I ask you?"

[ The school finally closed, and the school buses are already on their way. Yuki begins to ride his bicycle on the way when he finds a cat nearby. So he stopped by and looked around, ensuring no one was there, and he sat back on his heels. ]

Yuki: Hi bro…

Cat: Meow!

Yuki: How is it going, bro?

[ The cat looks at him. ]

Yuki: Yeah, I see, it's personal. You can't say it to someone you just met.

Cat: Meow!

Yuki: Oh, I was right? I guess I learned your language.

Cat: Meow!

[ The cat tilted its head right. ]

Yuki: Meow! Meow!

[ He tilted its head right, same as the cat. ]

Cat: Who are you, an idiot? You can't talk to me. You're a human, you're messing with our language, fool.

Yuki: It's so boring, you know.

[ Scene cuts to the road with no vehicles on it, with a very dim light. Trees line the side of the road. Kaelveth is driving his car on the road with a straight face. ]

Kaelveth: I've got to do something about this student in Sky High School, right away.

[ He continues to drive on the road, finally reaching his home. He gets out of his car and walks toward his front door. He grabbed his house keys, unlocked the door and stepped in. ]

Kaelveth: I can't afford to let them know of our full strength.

[ He continues to walk into his room and changes his clothes. ]

Kaelveth: I guess I'll have to use lower-class demons.

[ He walks to the fridge, takes a bottle of water and walks to the couch. ]

Kaelveth: What was his name again?

[ After he sat down and drank the cold water. ]

Kaelveth: Ahh, Yuki! That's the student's name. I should probably send him to check what that Yuki is.

[ Scene cuts to Yuki and the cat talking to each other. As Yuki heard footsteps, he stood up as fast as he could. ]

Yuki: Someone is coming here. See you next time, buddy.

Krishna: You usually grumble to me. Now you're complaining to that cat. What's wrong, Yuki?

Yuki: You are playing with me a lot, Krishna.

Krishna: You won't learn if I stop. You know

[ Scene cuts to Kaelveth's home, where he is sitting on his couch thinking. ]

Kaelveth: Maybe I'll check him myself, from the information I got.

He should be heading towards his home.

[ Scene changes to a school bus standing near Mika's house. She gets off the bus and walks to her home. ]

Mika: He didn't step in for him. I should know about him completely to check who he really is.

[ Scene changes to Yuki riding his bicycle. No other vehicles are passing by. He remembers what happened in school. ]

Yuki: It's awfully quiet now. Why're you reminding me of that?

Krishna: Don't you know?

[ Scene changes to Yuki again, but now some bikes are passing by. ]

Yuki: I know, what are you asking? It's just a ball, it's harmless.

[ Scene flashed in his mind, a kid lying on the road, a lifeless body covered in blood. It is flowing down the pavement. But soon, Yuki snapped out of it, exhausted. He was breathing heavily.]

Yuki: How can I forget that day, the day that happened? Is this a sign?

Krishna: Maybe, or maybe not.

[ Scene cuts to Yuki, who has reached home. Standing with his cycle in front of his home. ]

Yuki: That won't happen again, if you would help, will ya?

Krishna: (smiles) Depends on you.

[ Scene cuts to Yuki opening the front door of his house. A faint shadow is near the main gate. ]

Yuki: So something really is gonna happen, huh?

[ As Yuki got a feeling someone was there, he turned to that side. But it had disappeared. ]

Yuki: I saw someone.
