Zar opens her eyes and found herself inside her cave at the top of the mountain. Min brought back her here, which is now his cave since he won the duel and her territory
"You win the duel_ why did you kill me"
Min looks at her with a pity face.
"Why should I waste my energy on killing you, an already defeated opponent, you don't deserve that honor of dying in my hand."
Min left her alive because he want to know about Mythical magic from her. But instead of directly asking her he decided to bluff and impose.
"So that purple thing earlier was your magic? Huh how did you using magic like that? What a waste of mana"
Zar felt offended and surprised at the same time. Min is humiliating her magic but at the same time that dragon defeat her without even using a single magic.
"I want to know how much understanding you have on Mythical magic, to be using magic in an ineffective maner like that.
Zar frighten as she thinks Min must be a superior magic user than her so she start explaining about Mythical magic as she has known.
According to Zar, mana is a form of pure energy which exist in nature as tiny particles.Every mages or mythical creatures have the ability to control those particles. What they do was accumulate those particles of mana in one place, increasing their density and thus power, the condense mana. The condense mana have more power than mana particles in the environment, althought they have a tiny amount of power_with the control_they can be manipulate to have some effects such as transforming into elements, healing, runes or energy blast (beam) and energy shield as in Mythical magic.
Humans store it at their heart but Mythical creatures don't store it in one place. It flows in their blood, forms their muscles, bone and also provide life force. Therefore mythical creatures live longer than humans and their bodies have unique abilities and unique parts.
Since condense mana is more abdunt in mythical creatures as their bodies mostly made out of condense mana, they only need to use the imagination of mind, no need to cast spell, to manipulate the condense mana inside their body to materialize as energy shield or shoot out as energy blast, like Zar did before. And unknown to humans mana can be manipulate to form mana mass, which is a really condense form of solid mana that can take up any form, the user desire.
But even among the Mythical creatures, only a few can do that since it requires a vast amount of condense mana and a great mana control.
Min imagined shooting out a weak blast from his mouth but nothing comes out.
He dazzled.
"What _why can't I use magic"
He thought himself. He shaked his head in disappointment for himself but Zar thought his disappointment was aim to her.
" I have been using magic like this since I was taught by my father.Please guide me how to use it more properly."
Min didn't hear her words as he was lost in his thoughts. If the imagination of mind is the key why is his magic not take the form yet_He imagine shooting out a blast already_.He thinks about what Zar had said. Mana is an energy in the form of tiny particles ,if they accumulate in one place they can take form and exert their effect. He was dazing at the entrance of the cave as he was recalling those memories_ at the same time thinking about other magic principles too.
Suddenly a purple mass, the size of a human fist forms at the entrance, out of no where. It gets bigger and shoot out as a purple beam.
A loud explosion occurs as the beam hit something flying in the sky.
A wyvern passing through fall to the ground with his body burning.
The eyes widen and the body frozen. Zar didn't dare to move a single muscle. He materialize a mana mass from a distance and change it to energy blast and shoot out. She have never seen a dragon changing the mana mass into energy blast, and more importantly use magic from that far away.
Min lower down his body and cover his head with wings as he thinks that was an act of other. A dome shape, a little transparent purple mass appears near him and cover up his entire body encircling about 1 meter aways from him.
Surprise hits Zar hard second time. He was using manam mass as shield, not an energy shield, which cover up his entire body and a distance away from his body.
" Ho..how....how did you can form mana mass that far away and use it as both blast beam and shield."
Min realizes the attack earlier and the shield are made by him. But he just gaze his dragon eyes directly into Zar's eyes as he had thinking what he had done earlier.
But to Zar the silent gaze was enough to tell everything. It mean did you see how I use magic and how that is more superior than yours.
All of her life, she can only manipulate either energy shield or energy blast one at a time,not even a chance of materializing mana mass and using it for energy blast and shield.
But Min did all the impossibles within a short time.
