Chapter 1 - AS ❤️

Hi Everyone ❤️

Let's start my First book here 🥰

Hoshiarpur, Punjab ,

7:00 AM ,

In the narrow lanes of Hoshiarpur , where the morning air still carried the scent of soaked earth and fresh cow dung , a small but spotless home glowed beneath the soft wash of golden sunlight. Inside , the town had begun to stir , but one room remained still , wrapped in sleep and silence.

On a single bed , half-buried under a faded Mickey Mouse quilt , Saira was still in deep slumber , untouched by the chaos of the waking world.

Until her mother's voice rang out like a siren at close range .

" Get up , sweetheart ! You have college today , remember ? Your friend will be here any minute now ! "

From under the covers came a groggy , half-hearted protest.

" Maa… please. Just five more minutes. I slept really late last night . " she muttered , her voice thick with sleep.

" Please , just a little longer…" Her mother huffed , more to herself than anyone else.

" This girl and her sleep. I swear , if there were an award for who sleeps the most , she'd win it blindfolded. "

And that , dear reader , is how we meet the heroine of our story.

""Saira.""

Twenty-one years old. Not exceptionally fair , not too dusky ☺️ just the perfect shade of warm honey-brown. But what set her apart weren't the conventional markers of beauty. It was her features : clean , sharp , expressive. And those eyes.

Big , brown and quietly dangerous. 🤭

There was something in them. A kind of soft intoxication that made you want to stare a second longer. Maybe it was the innocence they carried , or the mystery behind that innocence.

But whatever it was , it worked.

Even half-asleep , with hair like a bird's nest and pillow lines on her cheek , she had a strange kind of charm. Not forced. Not deliberate. Just… hers.

She yawned again , muttering under her breath ,

" Who even made morning classes legal ? "

and slowly dragged herself up , still negotiating with the universe for ten more minutes of peace.

Meanwhile , hundreds of miles away in Delhi…

Inside the high-rise headquarters of Rathore Enterprises , the air was colder , sharper and thick with fear.

In the sleek glass conference room on the 28th floor , you could feel the tension like a noose tightening. Department heads sat frozen , eyes glued to the table , as their boss's voice echoed like a blade slicing through stillness.

" You people had one job . " came the low , tightly controlled voice.

" And now our lead project , our goddamn lead project is slipping straight into the hands of our biggest competitor. "

He wasn't shouting. But somehow , the silence that followed his words was louder than any scream.

He leaned forward slightly , his gloved hand pressing against the glass table , his tone turning lethal.

" Do you even realise what this means ? "

The man standing at the center of this storm was ""Ahir Rathore""

Age 25.

The youngest , most powerful CEO of Delhi's business world had ever whispered about.

Six feet tall , perfectly built , features sharp as broken glass . if anyone had actually seen them.

But no one had.

Because no one , except a select few , had ever seen Ahir's real face. 😎

In a world obsessed with images and visibility , he was a complete enigma. Every time he stepped into his office , he wore a black mask that covered his face from nose to jaw. And every time someone dared ask why , the answer never came.

Only speculations did.

Some said he had scars. Others claimed he was hiding a criminal past. A few even believed he was just paranoid. But the truth ?

Well , that's a part of this story you'll have to wait for. 😁

For now , all you need to know is this:

Ahir Rathore never loses. And today , someone had almost made him.

Without another word , he turned away from the stunned room and strode out , his long coat swaying behind him. His assistant , Aarav , who was also his childhood friend . followed closely , the only one used to walking in his shadow.

Back in Hoshiarpur…

Saira's mother stood outside her door , muttering again as she folded the laundry in her arms.

" This girl ! Today's her last exam and she's still sleeping like there's no tomorrow. She'll end up slipping and cracking her head if she keeps rushing last minute like this. "

Saira groaned from inside , finally sitting up and tying her hair in a lazy bun.

" I'm getting up , Maa ! Stop threatening me with head injuries . " she called out.

" Don't worry , I'll be ready on time. I won't hurt myself , Promise. "

Then she smirked, loud enough for her voice to carry across the hallway.

"Now go wake up that monkey of a brother I have. He sleeps more than I do. I swear he goes into hibernation every night. You always wake me up first—how's that fair?"

Her mother laughed from the kitchen.

"God save me from you two! The day hasn't even begun and you've already started your fights."

"I don't know how you two turned out to be such drama artists. There's so much work to do, and now I'm stuck playing referee between two sleeping pandas."

"Okay okay, go finish your work," Saira said, rolling her eyes fondly.

"I'm up. I'll get ready and go to the temple before leaving for college."

As her mother walked away, still grumbling but secretly smiling, Saira finally stood up and stretched.

She didn't know that her morning laziness was nothing compared to the whirlwind fate was about to throw her into.

And somewhere far away, in a cold office filled with glass, steel, and secrets, the man whose name she hadn't even heard yet… was unknowingly walking toward her world.

This is the first book of my life which I wrote when I started my writing career and the video is getting a lot of likes and it has more than 20K views on the Hindi Novel platform.

Like I am a new writer and I got so many views in 3-4 months. This is a very good thing for any novel, so I thought why not upload it on an English novel platform as well. I hope I will get the same love here as I got there.
