"I think this kid's brain is broken," one of them sneered.
"A wet‑behind‑the‑ears brat like him? I could crush him with one punch. Who gave him the courage to talk big in front of the boss?"
Their taunts drew snickers and nods from the rest of the Blood Evil Gang members.
"Boss, why waste time talking? Let me take care of him," said a burly, middle‑aged man standing behind Xue Sha.
Xue Sha waved lazily. "Fine. But don't go overboard. Leave him alive."
No matter what, this kid was still Jiang Wuya's son.
Even though Jiang Wuya had been cast out of the Jiang family, Xue Sha wasn't stupid. Robbing their medicinal garden would at most earn him their hatred. But killing Jiang Wuya's son? That was enough to drive even an outcast to vengeance.
"Don't worry, Boss," the middle‑aged man smirked. "At worst, I'll cripple him."
He stepped forward, swaggering as he looked Jiang Chen up and down like prey. "Boy, how do you want to die?"

A scream ripped through the courtyard.
Xue Sha spun around just in time to see another of his men collapse lifelessly to the ground.
