She descended the stairs and from a distance saw a wall of people gathered downstairs.
Due to her elevated position, she could easily see the situation inside the wall of people.
A middle-aged man, about forty-something with thinning hair, was cursing at a young female waitress.
The waitress looked to be around twenty, head bowed, fingers tightly clutching the edge of her clothes, her face flushed with either anger or anxiety.
"Don't try to fool me with some BS leadership. Return the money and ticket, or else, I'm not leaving today."
The waitress kept apologizing, "Sir, I'm really sorry. Please bear with us a little longer..."
"Screw your patience. My time is valuable, cut the crap, return the money and ticket, hurry up!"
"I'm just a waitress, please don't make it hard for me. Just wait a little longer."
The waitress was almost in tears, looking around for help.
Though many were watching the scene, seeing the man's menacing demeanor, no one dared to step forward and assist.
