Mindy Sterling spoke softly, not explicitly saying who it was, but Serena Sullivan guessed.
"Hmm!"
She responded, "I understand, Master."
"Serena."
Mindy looked at Serena's indifferent face, wanting to say something, then swallowed it back. After hesitating for a long time, she said something else, "Your father doesn't dislike you that much."
"He has no choice!"
This "father" was not referring to James Sterling.
Serena looked ahead, not answering.
Mindy knew Serena didn't believe what she was saying, and her voice became even softer, "For the sake of your mother, he sacrificed the entire Sterling Family."
A beautiful woman is a source of trouble, so the old master and the old lady disliked Claire Sullivan, and the old lady particularly blamed Serena.
"I'll leave first."
Seeing First Mrs. Sterling and the others approaching, Mindy left first.
