Ruth Hale understood what Serena Sullivan was saying and realized there was no point in arguing anymore.
She sat powerlessly on the chair beside her, looking at Claire Sullivan and then at Serena Sullivan; today, she had fallen into the trap set by the mother and daughter.
"Ha ha!"
She laughed sarcastically, "Just one step away."
Speaking, Ruth Hale looked at Serena Sullivan, "If you hadn't come back, The Sullivan Corporation would have belonged to Zoe and Joel."
"Serena, you worthless person, why didn't you die outside, what did you come back for!"
These words hit Claire Sullivan hard because she had said similar things before.
Serena had suffered so much outside, as her closest relative, she had actually wished her to die outside. Claire Sullivan thought, her eyes reddening, filled with guilt as she gazed at Serena Sullivan.
Serena Sullivan did not look back at Claire Sullivan; she was anxious to deal with Ruth Hale's matters and go back to rest.
