Chapter 2 - Queen of Curses, Rika

A chill seeped out from behind Haruki. Goosebumps rose on Haruki's back and neck.

A faint female voice, laced with ferocious killing intent, almost materialized as it surged towards the ninja.

Crack!

The Kunai and the ninja's hand were crushed by a pale, giant hand almost as big as Haruki's body. It was as easy as crushing an egg.

"Ah ah ah ah ah ah!"

The ninja's shrill scream echoed through the cave. However, after only a moment, the scream abruptly stopped. In its place was a pile of shredded flesh.

Two giant hands reached out from behind Haruki, twisting the ninja into pieces as if wringing a wet towel.

Blood splattered everywhere. Just as it was about to splash onto Haruki's face, a colossal figure blocked his path.

The entire cave trembled precariously under her massive body.

Haruki looked at her protruding spine, her pale-green skin, and her mouth full of fangs, and he could basically guess who she was.

Special Grade Cursed Spirit—Rika Orimoto!

"Mon…monster…"

Another ninja trembled all over, staring at the behemoth before him, his lips slightly parted, his pupils quivering, and his voice hoarse as if squeezed out of his throat with difficulty. He kept backing away, trying to distance himself from Rika.

"Don't hurt Yuta!"

As the curse before him let out a sharp shriek that pierced the eardrums, the ninja trying to escape was easily torn in half by a pair of sharp claws.

A strong smell of blood permeated the cave. Almost every stone was soaked in blood.

Haruki looked at the shredded flesh on the ground, the smell of blood rushing straight to his nose, surging wildly into his body, making his stomach churn continuously. His spasmodic stomach finally couldn't bear the burden.

"Ugh…"

Haruki scrambled out of the cave. He fell to the ground, supporting his upper body with his hands, and finally couldn't help but vomit.

He hadn't eaten much before going to the anime convention, so now he only vomited some sour liquid.

"Yuta…"

"Yuta…"

"Yuta…"

Rika's anxious calls kept coming from Haruki's ears.

Yuta?

Was she calling him?

Right, he was wearing Yuta's clothes.

Haruki suppressed his fear, tentatively raised his head, and immediately met a huge face with no eyes or nose, only a gaping, bloody maw.

Her sharp teeth were almost longer than Haruki's head, Haruki was just a small fry in front of her.

No wonder she was called the Queen of Curses.

With that oppressive feeling, how could she not be a queen?

"Yuta…Yuta…"

Rika kept trying to get closer to Haruki.

Haruki: "…"

Watching anime was one thing, having it actually appear in front of him was another.

Haruki gulped, trembling all over from nervousness. He bravely stretched out his hand and placed it on the upper half of Rika's face, which lacked any facial features.

The touch was cold. It wasn't as terrifying as Haruki had imagined.

He boldly touched her and nervously observed Rika's reaction.

"Yuta!"

Rika rubbed Haruki's palm, and all the malevolence in her body suddenly vanished without a trace, her voice even becoming cute.

Cute?

Haruki was shocked by his own strong heart.

Suddenly, Rika quickly lost vitality, as if a toy had been switched off.

The next second, she transformed into smoke and slowly floated into the ring Haruki wore on his middle finger.

Haruki looked at the ring on his finger.

To fully recreate Yuta Okkotsu's character, he had meticulously paid attention to every detail, including the engagement ring with Rika.

Did Rika recognize him as "Yuta Okkotsu" just based on the clothes he was wearing?

Haruki felt it wasn't that simple. He got up from the ground and walked to a nearby puddle that hadn't been stained with blood.

The clean puddle, like a mirror, reflected Haruki's current appearance. He had completely transformed into Yuta Okkotsu's childhood self.

Haruki pinched the baby fat on his face. It felt good. As expected of a child, his face was full of collagen.

Since the cheat had arrived, Haruki could only accept the facts.

He, Haruki, had transmigration into the Naruto World as a child version of Yuta Okkotsu.

Haruki sighed.

At this moment, his reflection in the water disappeared, replaced by a transparent blue light screen.

Looking at the light screen emitting a faint blue glow, Haruki shifted his gaze, looking up at the sky. The blue light screen was still in front of him. This meant that the light screen moved with his line of sight.

A line of crooked, cartoonish text appeared on the light screen.

At the same time, a cloying, sickeningly sweet voice rang in his mind.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations, Host, for successfully appeasing the berserk companion Cursed Spirit—Rika Orimoto!]

[The Cursed Spirit Mother Assistance System has been successfully activated!]

[Please, Host, collect more affection to feed your companion Cursed Spirit, Rika Orimoto!]

[Please note: Your companion Cursed Spirit, Rika Orimoto, is currently in a hungry state. Please do not abuse your companion Cursed Spirit.]

"…"

Right, wasn't it?

Was this the system?

Haruki now had a belly full of questions.

"Did you bring me here?"

[Yes! Host, no need to thank…]

"Thank?!"

"I want to go back!"

Haruki had never seen such a shameless…system.

The Ninja World was too dangerous, he wanted to go home to his mom.

"Send me back!"

Haruki roared, unable to bear it any longer.

[Okay, please don't be angry.]

It agreed so easily?

Haruki felt something was off, he eyed the blue electronic light screen suspiciously.

[Please confirm, Host, whether to restore to the fragmented state before transmigration?]

[Yes][No]

A multiple-choice question popped up on the light screen in front of Haruki.

His intuition was correct. There was indeed something wrong.

He looked three times, confirming he hadn't misread.

"…"

Haruki cautiously requested, "I want to restore to a complete state."

[Sorry, this is a multiple-choice question, not a multiple-selection question.]

"…"

"Go to hell!"

Haruki lost his sanity, roaring out.

[Sorry, your request cannot be fulfilled by the system.]

"…"

Haruki felt a sense of powerlessness, like dealing with a customer service representative.

Countless punches landed on cotton.

Not only did they cause no damage, but there was also a disgusting feeling of the cotton licking his fist.

Haruki regained his expressionless face, and resigned, "I'll stay here, alright."

[Finally, you got over it.]
