Chapter 121 - Chapter 123: All Awake

But this didn't mean Amir was out of options.

At this moment, BD-4 had already reached Ahsoka's side. It extended its discharge electrode toward Ahsoka, who seemed to sense something was wrong and was shaking.

"Bzzzt~~!" A fierce shock. Ahsoka's cry of surprise came from behind.

Seizing this chance, Amir quickly threw a similar filter to Ahsoka.

"There's a hallucinogen in the air!"

Ahsoka still seemed a bit dazed, but hearing Amir's words, she reflexively caught the filter, hesitated for a moment, and put it in her mouth.

"What happened?" Ahsoka had clearly experienced a different illusion and was still disconnected from reality.

"We were just in an illusion. It must be these Dragon Slugs. They use the hallucinatory period to hunt us," Amir said.

Just then, 32, who had been motionless, also seemed to wake up. But he clearly wasn't truly awake; he was walking toward the door like a sleepwalker.

"It seems these Dragon Slugs lure their prey into this room to hunt. But why? If they just rushed out, we'd have a hard time stopping them," Amir thought.

Suddenly, he realized something. He stretched out his right hand and lit the lamp closest to him. The area brightened.

As if intensely stimulated, the Dragon Slug that had crawled out of the room shrieked and actually retracted back inside.

"They're afraid of the light here! I'll stop 32. You go find Milisen! Her dark Force has erupted again!" Amir said.

He stretched out his right hand, gave the aimlessly walking 32 a Force pull. The "block of iron" 32 immediately tripped over his own feet and fell.

The moment 32 hit the ground, an even denser wave of dark Force rushed over, passing through Amir's body and continuing forward.

Amir's heart tightened. Milisen...

He turned his head and saw Ahsoka, next to a newly lit lamp in the distance, approaching Milisen, who was kneeling on the ground. The blue Twi'lek girl had tear tracks on her face.

A strange anger surged in Amir's heart. She had almost forgotten those painful memories, her heart was already filled with joy and hope, she shouldn't have been tormented by the past anymore...

Although it had been a short time, Amir already saw Milisen as his dear little sister. Seeing her fall back into pain because of the illusion, so sad that her dark Force lost control again, Amir's face grew colder.

The Dragon Slugs in the room became agitated. It was unknown if it was because of the Force disturbance or because they were losing patience with the prey not taking the bait. A few more huge bodies peeked out from the doorway, as if they would lunge at Amir like demons in the next second.

Amir only felt disgust.

"Get over here!" He reached out and yanked. The two Dragon Slugs at the door flew uncontrollably toward Amir. In an instant, the hunter became the hunted. The lightsaber ignited the moment it contacted the slugs. The green blade met the muddy bodies, emitting a blinding light.

Accompanied by two painful shrieks, the two Dragon Slugs, unable to react in time, were directly cut in half. The cross-sections were incredibly smooth, still glowing from the intense heat.

Even cut in half, they weren't completely dead, but they could no longer move, only roaring in pain.

This scene completely provoked the Dragon Slugs inside the room. Instantly, they surged toward the door as if they had forgotten their fear of light. But instinct still made them shrink back the moment they touched the light.

"Afraid of the light, are you!" An idea struck Amir. He reached out again. A nearby lampstand shook, and under the immense force Amir applied, it finally broke, lifted off the ground, and flew into his hand.

As if he had obtained a divine sword, Amir held the lampstand in his left hand and his lightsaber in his right, and walked toward the door. On the other side of the door, the furious Dragon Slugs twisted frantically in fear, struggling back and forth.

"Take this!" Amir threw the lampstand directly into the room. You're afraid? I'll throw it right in your faces.

Instantly, shrieks, writhing, and chaos boiled over inside the room.

Amir felt a wave of confidence, even arrogance, wash over him. These are just bugs. I can easily kill them...

Lightsaber in hand, Amir followed the thrown lampstand and jumped into the room, like a shark plunging into a school of fish. His airtight defense of flashing lightsaber continuously sliced through the twisting bodies of the slugs. With sizzling sounds, a pungent, fishy smell gradually filled the room.

But none of that mattered. Amir's eyes only saw their fleeing figures. He pushed his speed to the limit, constantly moving and slashing within the room. The panicked Dragon Slugs began to flee desperately. Any that tried to counter-attack were cut in half even faster.

. . .

Ahsoka truly felt the dark Force within Milisen's body. She also felt the pain and sadness radiating from her.

At this moment, Milisen was like a wounded animal, instinctively resisting everything that approached.

Ahsoka stretched out her right hand, transmitting her own Force to Milisen. An incomparably pure light-side Force connected them, dissolving and diluting the darkness.

The dense dark Force in front of her seemed to fade slightly. Seeing this, Ahsoka was encouraged. She focused even more, increasing the output of her light-side Force.

. . .

On the cruiser, Milisen stared blankly at Cyan in the medical tank, speechless. She couldn't believe the person closest to her, like a sister, Cyan, was just declared dead. She couldn't imagine life without Cyan, only Mona and her left to suffer alone. They had promised to return safely every day, promised no one would be abandoned, promised to escape this place together, to travel together...

A single tear rolled uncontrollably down her cheek, followed by an unstoppable flood.

After an unknown time, everything went numb. She endured pain every day. Mona also grew weaker day by day. Sadness constantly drowned her, making it hard to breathe.

Cold, despair...

Unceasing.

Until suddenly, a ray of sunshine shone on her forehead, making her open her eyes.

She had never seen sunlight, but she knew what warmth was. So she stood up and began to run toward the sun. She kept running, saw flowers, grass, experienced flight, and play. Everything began to become beautiful.

And Mona... she was always smiling at her from not far away. She just had to look up to see.

"Mmm... Mona... Amir..."

Milisen opened her eyes. A smile gradually appeared on her tear-stained face.

Amir's heart was suddenly touched. He stopped his slashing. A sense of absurdity rushed from his back, up his spine, to his brain.

"What am I doing..."

His body was covered in the fluids from the severed space slugs. The ground was almost paved with a layer of writhing bodies.

32 had also woken up at some point. He walked to the door and asked, somewhat haltingly, "You... I... what happened?"

Amir smiled slightly, deactivated his lightsaber, and said, "It's over."
