Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 A strange island, is this still China?

Brain Storage Point

Space Grinder

The surgery was successful, and the brain is gone.

The salty sea breeze, carrying damp mist, enveloped this mysterious sea area like a fine, thin veil.

The surging waves tirelessly crashed against the beach, emitting low roars.

On this vast and silent beach, a young man lay quietly, his clothes soaked by the seawater, clinging messily to his body, gently fluttering with the sea breeze.

Suddenly, the young man's eyelashes trembled slightly, and he slowly opened his eyes.

His gaze was filled with confusion and bewilderment; he instinctively tried to get up, but his movements were slow due to his exhaustion and weakness.

"Oh my god, is this still China?" the young man mumbled, his voice carrying undisguised surprise and unease.

He struggled to support himself and sat up, his eyes warily scanning the unfamiliar surroundings.

Ahead was the boundless sea, its waters shimmering under the sunlight, waves crashing ceaselessly against the shore, one after another;

Behind him was a dense, endless jungle, tall trees blocking out the sky, occasionally punctuated by the calls of unknown birds and the roars of beasts, sending shivers down one's spine.

All of this clearly indicated that he was on an unknown Sea Island.

A wave of panic surged in Yun Lie's heart. He quickly began to carefully examine his body, checking every inch of his skin. Only after confirming there were no signs of being tied up did he let out a long sigh of relief.

"So it wasn't a kidnapping…" he murmured to himself, his suspended heart easing slightly.

But soon, he realized that his current situation was still very grim.

He forced himself to calm down and quickly thought about countermeasures.

"First, walk around the coastline and see if there are any other people," Yun Lie quickly decided.

He knew that the mysterious and dangerous jungle contained countless unknown dangers, and for someone with his university student-level physique, venturing in rashly would undoubtedly be a death wish.

Walking along the coastline was a relatively safer choice. He firmly believed that if there were people on the island, they would surely leave some traces, perhaps footprints on the beach or discarded items.

Without further ado, Yun Lie gritted his teeth, stood up, and, dragging his weary body, began to walk along the coastline.

Along the way, his eyes continuously searched the beach and the surrounding reefs, not missing any possible clue. However, time passed imperceptibly, and in a blink of an eye, half a day had gone by.

When Yun Lie returned to his starting point, his face was filled with disappointment and despair.

The cruel reality proved that this Sea Island was uninhabited; there were no traces of other people, nor any hope of rescue.

"Is heaven going to abandon me?"

Yun Lie could no longer hold on, collapsing to the ground from exhaustion. Having not eaten for half a day, he was completely depleted, his body so weak that he barely had the strength to speak.

But Yun Lie was not one to give up easily. After a brief moment of despair, fighting spirit reignited in his eyes.

"No, I can't just sit here and wait to die!" He abruptly sat up, looking at the daunting jungle behind him, quickly making up his mind.

There was no food or water by the sea; entering the jungle became his only way to survive.

Fortunately, Yun Lie had always been deeply interested in wilderness survival reality shows, watching and learning repeatedly, considering himself to have inherited Bear Grylls' true teachings.

Thinking of this, a surge of courage welled up in his heart. He slowly stood up and walked towards the jungle.

As soon as he stepped into the jungle, Yun Lie noticed something unusual.

The creatures here were too abnormal; an ant was actually bigger than a watermelon!

It waved its huge antennae, crashing through the pile of decaying leaves, as if it were the ruler of this land.

Yun Lie's heart instantly jumped to his throat. He held his breath, nervously avoiding one "small animal" after another, taking every step cautiously, fearing he might make a sound and startle these terrifying creatures.

After an unknown amount of time, Yun Lie finally saw a fruit tree with fruits on it ahead.

Looking closely, it was an apple tree!

Surprise instantly flooded his heart, but Yun Lie was not carried away by joy. He slowly moved closer, taking every step very carefully.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak~" Suddenly, several sounds came from the apple tree.

Yun Lie looked up and saw several Monkeys crouching on the branches, looking at him with curious faces, their eyes as if asking him why he looked different from them.

"Monkey brothers, can I have a few apples?"

Being stared at by the Monkeys as an anomaly, Yun Lie felt a bit awkward. He pointed his finger at the red apples on the apple tree and said sheepishly.

He had thought the Monkeys wouldn't understand him, but in the next second, several Monkeys agilely jumped to the apples he had just pointed at, plucked them, and threw them to Yun Lie.

Yun Lie quickly caught the apples. The Monkeys seemed to have discovered a new world, excitedly jumping up and down, continuously throwing apples down to Yun Lie.

"Hey! Hey! That's enough! That's enough!"

Yun Lie quickly stopped them. At this point, the apples in his pockets were almost stretching his clothes; he couldn't possibly eat so many.

"Squeak?" The Monkeys stopped upon hearing him, lightly jumping down from the apple tree, not at all afraid of Yun Lie. They boldly picked up an apple that had fallen to the ground and began to gnaw on it.

"Monkeys, thank you, you saved my life."

Yun Lie also sat down beside them, gently stroking a Monkey's head, his eyes full of gratitude.

He carefully wiped the surface of an apple with his clothes, then took a bite.

Perhaps because he was thirsty and hungry, this apple tasted exceptionally sweet and delicious. The sweet juice flowed down his throat, as if bringing new life to Yun Lie.

After eating and drinking his fill, Yun Lie looked at the surrounding environment and decided to build a place to stay.

After all, it was getting dark, and the jungle at night was much more dangerous than during the day.

Along the way, he had heard many roars of unknown beasts, their sounds deep and terrifying, sending chills down his spine.

Not far from the apple tree, there was a tall stone mountain, and at its base, a small opening about half a person's height.

Yun Lie's eyes lit up. He planned to enlarge this small opening, thus digging out a natural shelter, a place sufficient to allow him to safely pass through this dangerous night!

Yun Lie first searched for suitable tools in the vicinity. He picked up a piece of wood about a meter long and found a sharp stone, then began to sharpen one end of the wood.

This process was not easy; his palms quickly developed blisters, but he did not flinch. Finally, with the tools ready, he began to dig downwards with force.
