Since it looked like a human, Kunikida jumped into the river with a heavy expression as he brought the body to the other side, where the brown-haired man and boy were.
While Kunikida was panting and wiping water from his face and glasses, Dazai quickly reached for the body earning another glare from Kunikida.
After taking it out of the water, the black bundle became more human-like as the pale skin of a human was revealed through the tattered robe.
Dazai placed his ear on the body where the chest is supposed to be and listened to the heartbeat to check whether the person was alive or not, as most parts of it were covered in blood and long, black wet hair.
Soon he felt a clear, rhythmic heartbeat along with a comfortable softness.
"Huh?" He instinctively touched the chest of the body but only to get dragged away by the blonde man.
"Where do you think you are touching, Dazai?!!" Kunikida glared at him while snapping out, making even Atsushi freak out.
"I was checking whether it is a—" Dazai grinned.
"It's a girl!" Kunikida groaned, making a face as this isn't the first time.
"Huh? You can tell?!"
This time even Atsushi deadpanned at him.
"Come to think of it, she's also floating in the river...could it be—" Dazai's eyes brightened.
"She also wants to commit suicide too!!"
"Oh my! I even had a partner with me. It could have become a double suicide, you know!" Dazai blushed dramatically as Kunikida rolled his eyes at his partner's quirks.
"How is she even alive after losing this much blood and drowning like this?" Kunikida checked the condition of the body as his pupils constricted at the sight of the bloody scalpel that she held tightly in her hand.

"You idiot!!" Kunikida snapped again as his hand reached Dazai's neck, as boy want to say it was probably a murder weapon.
"Well....we can ask her about that", Dazai tried to do CPR as he escaped from Kunikida's grasp. He pressed his hands on her chest, then he heard a cough sound as the girl slowly sat up like a robot.
"Huh, is this Pure Land? I feel so heavy!! Where is the promising soul floating in the sky?! I want to complain!! Where is the sage of six paths?! If anyone didn't bother to give bad reviews, I am giving you one, huh!"
The girl muttered, and she turned her head up to the sky as she was somehow excited by something and kept talking to the sky in a comical way. Three of them looked at her dumbfounded, as this wasn't what they expected to see.
"Yo suckers, did you guys miss me while in here? By the way, that old geezer should also be here, right? He kicked the bucket before me. Come here, old shit! We have an account to settle!"
She shouted with a smirk as she opened her eyes to greet her dead clansmen, but only to find her vision still black as she was stunned.
"Huh?" The girl was dumbfounded as she muttered unconsciously, still confident that she is in pure land as she was dead.
"In the pure land, wasn't I supposed to have my eyesight back?" Feeling the heavy pain in her body, thoughts stuck in her mind.
"No way! I am not dead?!" She said out loud as Kunikida narrowed his eyes while Dazai raised an eyebrow with an amused smile, while Atsushi kept looking at Dazai and the girl as he looked at the same kind of people.
"Those things are not from a dream; I definitely experienced them, and I used that technique of mine.... it is a one-way ticket to see the Sage of Six Paths" She pouted as she rubbed her temple.
"I was supposed to die. Then that means...." Then she felt the change in the environment and someone near her as three people coughed awkwardly, interrupting her comical monologue.
"Hey, you there" She felt no threat from them as she gauged their strength and chakra and turned her face towards Dazai while closing her eyes and hiding her expression with a smile.
"Can you please tell me where I am?"
"Ah, miss, you are in Yokohama", the boy said after a moment of silence.
"Huh, never heard something like that. So I am in the Pure Land. Where is the old geezer, Six Paths?! I have complaints!"
The girl shouted again, still clearly not believing that she was alive. Dazai grinned while Kunikida rubbed his temple and Atsushi awkwardly looked at her.
"Excuse me, miss, if this pure land means heaven, you are not dead yet!" Kunikida spoke this time, as she was stunned when a crow flew away from her head. She could feel it saying idiot over her head as a moment of silence spread around them.
"For real?!"
"Yeah, for real, real", Dazai nodded as his grin widened.
"Well, it can't be helped then" She picked up the scalpel from Dazai's hand and aimed it at her heart.
"No, you don't!!/ Not another one!" The boy and Kunikida shouted out loud while Dazai grabbed her hand tightly to make her drop the scalpel, but it didn't go as he expected, as he looked at the girl with amazement for a moment.
"Huh! What's wrong?" The girl asked in confusion, sensing the emotional state of the three.
"Oh, sorry, I tried to implicate you while making a bloody mess without giving you proper compensation for saving me."
She connected the dots when she felt the wetness in her clothes and the river beside her, as she understood they saved her from drowning when she appeared here, unconscious.
Soon, a huge scroll appeared in her hand as three pairs of eyes changed the way they looked at her. But she spoke without letting them say anything, as she was used to that expression from non-shinobi she had encountered before.
