Chapter 332 - 《Harry Potter- Ravenclaw》Chapter 200: Soul, Blood, and Body

"Harry Potter- Ravenclaw"Chapter 200: Soul, Blood, and Body

"What a cunning little eagle you are..." Slytherin gave a wry smile. "The fact that you can grasp these concepts is already impressive."

"Have you not noticed? Your idea of 'transformation and regeneration' has already answered the questions you raised just now."

"Answered them?" Wyzett looked thoughtfully at the resting Basilisk, his brow furrowing and relaxing as he sifted through his knowledge for the answer.

"Body and soul are interconnected..." Suddenly, a name came to him—Alastor Moody, the legendary Auror his roommate Anthony loved to tell stories about.

By all accounts, Alastor Moody should have been able to regrow his lost eye with potions and a skilled healer. After all, even when Harry lost every bone in his arm, a dose of Skele-Gro restored him overnight.

Yet Moody never did—he could only replace his lost eye with a magical one.

Wyzett considered aloud, "Headmaster Slytherin, is it fair to say… it's like the relationship between the Philosopher's Stone and the Elixir of Life?"

"Body and soul can transform and regenerate each other, but just as with the Philosopher's Stone and the Elixir of Life, there's a hierarchy: the soul is dominant. As long as the soul is whole, bodily flaws can be easily healed. But if the soul is damaged, that deficiency is reflected instantly in the body."

"Repairing the body? That's all Potions work." Slytherin rubbed his fingers together, a glint of approval in his eye. "It seems you're more talented in Potions than in Alchemy, aren't you?"

Wyzett nodded in agreement.

"If you had to choose a potion to represent the relationship between body and soul, which would you pick?" Slytherin asked.

Without hesitation, Wyzett replied, "Polyjuice Potion!"

"Leeches absorb the hair, and with shredded African tree snake skin, the soul is given a new 'skin'—allowing you to become someone else entirely."

"It's actually similar to Transfiguration… I once used a related technique to give a Crab Claw Orchid a new 'skin,' turning it into Devil's Snare."

"So Polyjuice Potion demonstrates the link between body and soul. There's also Amortentia—drinkers not only fall in love, but also smell their favorite scents…"

"That shows both soul and body are drawn in—your soul loves, but your body craves as well. And many injuries caused by Dark magic can't be healed by spell or potion, which proves the same thing!"

Slytherin leaned forward, his gaze sharp as a blade. "Polyjuice Potion… Amortentia… Transfiguration…"

"To mention these shows you've grasped the basics. There's no need to waste any more words—we can move on to the next stage."

"Excellent!" Wyzett nodded, quickly jotting down his thoughts in his notebook.

He intended to revisit his ideas later, combining them with what he was about to learn, and see what gaps remained.

Slytherin didn't rush him, simply settling back atop the Basilisk, waiting in silence as Wyzett finished writing.

Noticing this, Wyzett sped up, then apologized, "Sorry to keep you waiting."

"You're quick with your notes—clearly you do this often," Slytherin remarked with a nod. "Now, let's continue… Wyzett, what do you think connects body and soul?"

After all this reflection, the answer came easily: "Blood!"

He paused, then clarified, "Blood that contains magic!"

"To know that blood contains magic…" Slytherin gave a rare, satisfied smile. "Your understanding of Potions is far ahead of most."

"It's actually something Professor Snape taught at the start of this year," Wyzett explained. "He had me learn Potions from the very source."

"Professor Snape?" Slytherin arched an eyebrow. "Another Ravenclaw?"

Wyzett shook his head. "A Slytherin—the youngest Potions Master in history! His knowledge of Potions is extraordinary."

Slytherin nodded approvingly. "Good… at least there's one Slytherin."

Wyzett continued, "Actually, blood containing magic isn't all that rare anymore—at least, not compared to the Middle Ages."

"Oh?" Slytherin murmured, intrigued.

"Thanks to Newt Scamander, wizards now have magical creature breeding reserves. So we can ensure the blood we use is magical, without needing to hunt and extract it the old way. It's much more convenient."

"I suppose there are downsides," Slytherin mused. "For example, fewer wizards today realize that blood contains magic, compared to my time."

"In the early Hogwarts curriculum, it was required to master the Blood Extraction Charm, to ensure the blood used in Potions truly carried magic."

'Blood containing magic'—that was Potions knowledge Snape only taught after Wyzett understood the soul.

With Slytherin's guidance, Wyzett finally saw the truth:

The magic in blood comes from the soul, and acts as an anchor that reinforces the body.

If the soul is damaged, those magical anchor points are lost, and the body suffers—just like Alastor Moody's missing eye.

Slytherin cleared his throat. "Now that we've covered blood, we can move on—to the third step: the real beginning of bloodline magic."

Wyzett finished his notes, eyes shining with anticipation.

Slytherin spoke slowly, "Blood is not just the link between soul and body. It can also serve as a bridge—connecting the two."

"Since soul and body influence each other, by using blood as that bridge and tapping the magic within, you can manipulate those anchor points…"

"More than that, you can alter the bridge itself, using outside power to reinforce it, making a wizard stronger. That is bloodline magic."

"Using outside power for reinforcement?" Wyzett suddenly recalled something from the Restricted Section. "Like… merging with magical creatures?"

Slytherin looked genuinely surprised, then nodded. "That is the most effective method. And there are many ways to achieve such a union…"
