It's nine o'clock in the evening.
The shopping center is empty except for the security guards and cleaners finishing up. The last employee has left the building.
They are finally alone in this small world, sometimes called paradise because it has everything, from ordinary toothbrushes to expensive dresses and jewelry. Friends sometimes try on the jewelry with their father's permission and under the watchful eye of security. One time, SeoWoo wore an expensive necklace that cost more than the entire shopping center. It was awesome because she felt like a million-dollar girl. It's just a pity that now she can only admire it through thick glass in one of the jewelry store windows.
The lights are on in one of the stores. Music plays at full volume. Clothes and hangers are scattered on the floor. There's a bottle of expensive champagne on the table. Next to it are two empty glasses and a basket of fruit. Yona sits on the sofa, humming her favorite tunes and refilling the glasses. In the fitting room, SeoWoo tries on another designer dress.
The bachelorette party was in full swing. The alcohol had gone to the friends' heads, causing them to start laughing and dancing in front of a huge mirror in the boutique. The security guards on the first floor were accustomed to the girls' frequent gatherings. They didn't even pay attention when an empty champagne bottle shattered in the hallway. But they were always ready to watch. It was entertaining to watch the monitor where girls in short, tight dresses danced and hugged each other while getting drunk.
Yona was enjoying her friends' company that day. After eight o'clock in the evening, even the intrusive security guard disappeared, and no one was watching her or telling her what she could and couldn't do. Complete freedom of action! She only had one plan today: to get drunk and have a good time at one of the nightclubs. Her evening had just begun. Meanwhile, SeoWoo had tried on hundreds of dresses and was tired. She kept glancing at her watch. She really wanted to go home. To rest. To sleep. But Yona had no intention of letting her go. If they started the evening together, they would end it together. No objections:
"Oh, Yona. I'm so tired," she sighed, falling onto the sofa.
The tight red dress prevented her from moving freely. It was difficult to breathe in it. It was too narrow and short. Her beautiful legs were visible, but she was not accustomed to being a woman who lures men in with just one glance.
"SeoWoo, you know me. I won't let you go that easily. Besides, you said you wanted to relax," the girl said, taking another sip of champagne.
"Yes, but this is too exhausting for me. I want to sleep. I've had quite a bit to drink. I can barely stand." Yona, let's go to bed. Please," she said, ready to beg her.
"Oh, fine," she said, looking at her watch. "It's half past ten. Bedtime. Okay, I'll go to the club by myself. I'll meet my admirers there. They know how to have fun, unlike my only friend. Let's go." She looked at SeoWoo's pleading face. "I'll call a car for you." She started looking for the driver's number on her phone when, suddenly, she heard noise and voices on the other side of the hall. Her friends were frightened when the door slammed shut and footsteps grew closer.
"Jimin, please! Don't do this," Hoseok begged his brother, stumbling behind him.
"Hyung, it's too late to turn back now. If you don't want to be involved, just leave," Tonsen replied seriously, stopping in the middle of the dark corridor.
"Aisshh, Jimin. You're little... You're impossible to calm down. Do you really want to do this?"
"Yes, Hyung. It's better not to interfere with me."
"They'll put us in jail if they catch us. Do you understand that your life will turn into hell? It will never be the same again," he said, trying to persuade the little guy.
"Hoseok, why are you bothering him? If he's made up his mind, he won't back down. Besides, we have everything under control. Jin hyung is distracting the guards, so no one is watching the cameras," said Yoongi, tired of his friend's whining.
"But there will be a recording..." Hoseok shouted to the whole room.
"Are you completely stupid, Hyung? Do you want them to hear us?" Taehyung hissed, stepping forward. "We took care of that, too. Jin hyung will delete all the recordings tomorrow. We didn't come here unprepared," the small man assured him.
"How dare you talk to me like that, asshole?"
"Hyung, please don't yell," Jungkook said, defending his friend.
"Ugh! Why did I listen to you guys? I'll get fired if they find out that I let you in and helped you steal."
"Hoseok, shut up, okay? Let's just do this quickly and leave," Yoon said, clicking his lighter.
"That's it. Enough. Let's go. The jewelry department is over there," Jimin said, pointing and quietly walking toward the shops. "Okay, we'll start at eleven. We'll have ten minutes, so get ready," the boy ordered as he approached the glass doors of the shop. Behind them was what they had come for: a huge, sparkling, expensive necklace. Jimin had had his eye on it for a long time and had been planning to steal it for several months. However, his brother kept getting in the way, preventing him from carrying out his plan. The blond-haired boy opened the glass door with a key he had stolen earlier.
"Get down!" Yona ordered, pulling her friend by the hand and hiding behind the sofa when she noticed uninvited guests in the hallway.
"What's going on?" SeoWoo asked in a frightened voice.
"It looks like thieves have broken in." As soon as Yona said this, SeoWoo began to panic.
"What should we do now? They'll kill us if they find us..."
"Quiet! They won't notice us if you sit quietly," she reassured him, watching the scene in the hallway. "Where are the guards?" she wondered, not waiting for an answer. The girl immediately became interested in what was happening. The desire for adrenaline and alcohol also made themselves felt.
"Yona, what are you doing?" she whispered after her friend, who was heading somewhere.
"Shut up," she ordered. "If you're afraid, stay here."
"No, I don't want to..."
"Then let's go." Taking each other by the hand, they tiptoed after the boys.
10:55 p.m.
The boys were ready. They were just waiting for the signal from Jin.
Jimin's hand was already hovering in the air above the desired trinket when, suddenly:
"Don't even think about it!" a woman's voice rang out. All five guys turned around.
"Damn..." Yoongi hissed in fear.
"What the..." Taehyung's eyes widened.
"What the..." Hoseok jumped back. "You said you had everything under control?"
"Yes... We were until now," said Jungkook.
"Jungkook?" the girls cried out when they saw a tonsen in the ragtag group.
"Noona?" He was surprised to see his sister dressed so revealingly. "Why are you dressed like that?"
"What are you doing here, you bastard?"
"I asked first."
"You..." Yona's eyes widened when she saw the shopping mall administrator among the thieves, standing next to the same blond-haired boy she had seen earlier that day. She remembered when they were talking. Were they arguing? It was hard to tell because she only noticed his eyes, in which she lost herself for a moment. But it seems Hoseok did not recognize her as a rich heiress and just continued to panic.
"I told you this would end badly!" he continued, but Jim had long since stopped listening to him. He froze. His gaze and thoughts were fixed on the beauty in the short black dress. "Let's go before it's too late."
"Yaa! Hoseok~a..." Yoongi muttered, clicking his lighter. "Shut up already. You're giving me a headache. Who are you?" he asked the girls, sizing them up. "Thieves? Stealing clothes and jewelry?"
"Come on..." Yona protested. "Do we really look like thieves?"
"I don't know. I've never seen any before."
"Even if that's the case, let me ask you: Who are you, and what are you doing here at this hour?" Yona asked just as the blond-haired man's phone rang.
11:00 p.m.
It's time to start. Jimin glanced at his friends, put his phone in his pocket, and turned his gaze to the expensive item under the glass.
"Just try it," Yona hissed.
"And then what? What then?" the boy asked, smiling slightly. The girl remained silent. Realizing that she wouldn't interfere, Jimin hid his hand in his sleeve and broke the glass with it.
Thousands of pieces of glass scattered across the floor. The lights immediately went out. Only the red alarm light remained. The halls filled with the unpleasant sound of sirens. Security sounded the alarm. Everyone rushed to the elevators and stairs.
"Damn... What should we do?" Tae asked, frightened.
"Oh, shit..." Hoseok panicked. "Now they'll put me in jail. You too, Jimin. They'll put us all in jail. I just got a promotion." He grabbed his head and paced around his brother. Meanwhile, Jimin stood silently and looked at Yona. He didn't care anymore. His life was already a complete mess. It couldn't get any worse.
"Jimin, we have to run," Jungkook shouted.
"Run where?" SeoWoo cried out. "You're staying with me."
"No, noona. We came together - we'll leave together," he shouted back, grabbing Jimin's hand.
"Wait! Where are you going, kid?" She didn't have time to finish her sentence before five boys rushed past them.
The girls ran after the boys into the corridor but stopped in the middle. About six security guards jumped out of the elevator and ten more appeared on the stairs. They surrounded the thieves on both sides and were already rejoicing in victory. But no. Yoongi rushed to another department. The other four followed him. The guards followed them.
For five minutes, the thieves played tag with the guards, exhausting them and forcing them to take a break. Finally, when the way was clear, Jimin and the others headed for the stairs. Yona and SeoWoo were in their way. Without hesitation, Jungkook grabbed SeoWoo by the arm. Taehyung did the same, grabbing Yona and pulling her along with him.
"Let go!" Yona cried, trying to free her wrist. But the boy held her thin arm tightly in his palm and showed no intention of letting go.
"Jin, start the engine!" Jimin said into the phone as he ran down the stairs. "Don't ask any questions. Just do as I say. Hurry up, Hyung."
"The plan failed, little one," Yoongi says, opening the door to the underground parking lot.
"Shut up, Yoon. I know. Let's go your way. Let's go to the club," Jimin said, breathing heavily, not stopping to run.
"Now that's the right decision," Yoongi rejoiced, barely staying on his feet.
A black van with its headlights on stood alone in the parking lot. The boys jumped into the cab, took their seats, and closed the doors. The van pulled away, leaving the tired guards behind. There was nothing around except for the thieves' heavy breathing and soft, muffled music.
"What happened?" Jin asked. "Did you steal the necklace?"
"No, the alarm went off, and the guards came running," Yoongi explained. "Ouch, my legs."
"I thought I was going to die there," said Hoseok, leaning back in his seat.
"Jin, plans have changed. We're going to the club. Yoongi has a job for us," Jimin muttered, closing his eyes.
"Okay, I understand," he replied calmly. Then he looked in the mirror. "Who's that?" Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jimin turned around. Only Tae and Jungkook looked guiltily at the hyungs from under their thick bangs.
"What the hell? What are they doing here?" Yoongi shouted, pointing at the girls sitting in the back.
"Hyung, I couldn't leave my sister there," Jungkook said. "Besides, they saw you. They would have interrogated you. I don't want Noona to go through that hell because of me."
"Yes, and since Jungkook is her little brother, they would have easily found him and us, too," Tae defended.
"What's the difference? They'll catch us anyway," said Hoseok.
"J-Hope, shut up. I'm sick of you. We almost got caught because of you. It's all your fault. "They'll catch us.","They'll put us in jail."
Min couldn't take it anymore. He took a lighter out of his pocket. He always clicks it when he's angry or in a bad mood. The bright flame distracts him from his thoughts.
"Why do you always call me that? My name is Hosok."
"Aaah..." He turned around and stared out the window. "Figure it out yourselves." I don't care. They're not coming to the club with us, though. Just drop them off on the side of the road.
"Yaah, Hyung..." Jungkook mumbled. "She's my sister."
"Whatever," Yoon replied.
The car stopped on the bridge. The doors opened, and the girls were pushed out. Jungkook stared at his sister through the window for a long time, anticipating a reprimand at home. However, he was not concerned about that at the moment. Yoongi didn't feel sorry for the girls and left them alone in the middle of the city in their provocative outfits.
What would happen to them now? The boy couldn't calm down. It became a little easier when they crossed the bridge and the girls were no longer visible. He glanced sideways at Yoongi, but remained silent because he didn't want anything from him. Yoon had his own methods, and maknae knew about them. Maknae had seen more than once how Suga - as his so-called friends called him - dealt with those who got in his way or went against his will.
"What assholes," SeoWoo hissed discontentedly.
"Idiots..." Yoona shouted after the departing car. "Aaah..." She shook her hair. "I'll put them all away. They'll dance for me yet," the girl threatened. "I saw your faces, freaks. I remember you with the black hair. You're not going to have a good time."
"Yona, please calm down."
"No, I don't want to. Why did they do that? Why did they drop us off in the middle of Seoul?" She continued to rage. "Ugh, I'm sick of this. Let's go to the club." I want to forget what happened." She took her phone out of her purse and started dialing. Then, she waved down a passing taxi. "Let's go," she said as she got into the car.
"Yona..." SeoWoo muttered because she didn't want to go at all. Who knows what else might happen tonight?
"SeoWoo, what's wrong?" her friend asked angrily. "Get in quickly," she ordered. But SeoWoo remained standing on the bridge. "Fine, whatever you want. I'll go have fun by myself..." She closed the door.
"STOP!" SeoWoo shouted after the taxi. It stopped. "I can't let you go have fun alone." She sat down in the seat. "Let's go!" she ordered the driver.
11:45 p.m.
The night is just beginning.
