Chapter 58 - The Golden Spirit Palace

A thousand miles of glaciers are dressed in white, and the peaks rise steeply into the clouds.

Above the vast expanse of the sky, mist and gossamer veil. Clusters of white clouds float, clinging to the peaks and following the bleak wind. The sky was once clear and bright, but now the sun has slanted out of the clouds. Looking into the distance, the eyes are shrouded in mist, the peaks are veiled in smoke, the vast expanse of the world is veiled in frost.

Bypassing a peak, the chessboard paths, the pavilions and eaves are all neatly arranged. Around another peak, the red walls are high, the golden tiles are bright, and the wide walls of the city are crowded with people. The sound of prosperity, the beating of gongs and drums, and the good business in the streets and alleys. Business is booming, doors are high, and every house is crowded with people. Like a crowd, it's crowded with people, young and old, all laughing. Laughter, high sales, sugar-coated haws and hot sugar cakes. Hot sugar cake, sweet and honey, happy children in a long line. A long queue to buy dessert, I'm afraid Grandpa won't agree. Grandpa and, chuckle, sweet little grandson giggles. Giggle, laughter, the sound of happiness in the countryside, peace and happiness in every household.

In the high sky, the two of them looked around with their psychic eyes, and a look of envy welled up within them.

"Kellen, look how lively it is here!" Elara, a pair of eyes as bright as water and smiles as bright as flowers, looked at the bustling city with a kind smile. "I remember our tribe didn't seem to be so lively and peaceful. Perhaps childhood memories are scattered and have long since faded? Or perhaps, when I was young, I didn't care about many things, I probably don't remember them and can't recall them. But it seems that this place is really much more prosperous than our aquarium."

"Yeah! I never expected that the trading market of the Golden Spirit Clan would be located in the city. This lively scene of life is indeed enviable. How about we stay here for a couple of days when we come back?" Kellen looked down at the city and was as infatuated as Elara.

"That's great! I think so too!" Elara looked back at Kellen in surprise. She saw Kellen's affectionate eyes looking at her quietly and peacefully. For a moment, the eyes met, looking in silence, sweet feelings entwined in the heart. I can't help lowering my eyes, looking confused, my heart boiling with passion, my soul intoxicated. Completely forgetting that there were people beside him, and that a quarter of an hour earlier had passed through a stormy assassination.

Elara nodded in silence, still soaring through the air as if waiting for Kellen to say something. After a long time, Kellen did not utter a word, feeling a little disappointed. But there was no sadness, still a sweet heart. It just felt awkward and suffocated. "It seems like it's about to snow?" said indifferently.

"HMM!" Elara heard Kellen's "um", thinking that Kellen still had something to say. Without raising her eyes, she waited in a daze. After a while, Kellen was speechless. Just one word, "um," and no more. Elara felt even more awkward between them than before, and the atmosphere turned oppressive. Then, he said,"

"You say... Is the Golden Spirit Palace near?" Elara took a furtive glance at Kellen this time to see what he was doing and why he was so indifferent to her words. In fact, Elara had hoped that Kellen would say a few more comforting words. It would be very pleasant to say, after all, the heart of a young girl is about to burst forth, and it is extremely eager for sweet words.

But Kellen was certainly not as sweet-tongued as Elara had imagined. In fact, Kellen had no parents since childhood and rarely interacted with people. Her speech was naturally stiff, and to be honest, she was far less intelligent than Elara. Elara's previous question, Kellen had already guessed. But, after thinking for a long time, it turns out... Hehe, I can't find a decent word. Big is a headache!

Elara couldn't help cursing Kellen as "wooden man."

Before Elara could figure out the reason behind her previous question, she blurted out the next one. "Is the Golden Spirit Palace almost there?" Elara should not have asked this question.

He had already greeted Huo Hexuan on the way. Huo Hexuan was a good friend of Jin Zhenduo and naturally knew the Jin Ling Palace very well. Huo He Xuan once said, "When you see a big city, a big city, gold bricks and tiles, it is the place of the Golden Spirit Palace." At present, the red walls are high and the golden tiles are bright. If it were not at the foot of the imperial city and without the approval of the imperial authority, who would dare to build it like this?

Since it was at the foot of the imperial city, the Golden Spirit Palace was naturally within easy reach. Wasn't Elara's question superfluous? Kellen, though dull, is not wood either. Kellen is as perceptive as a mirror and naturally knows what Elara means. Though she also wanted to break the awkwardness, though she wanted to find some decent words of love, she was really not good at expressing herself. It was still "um." Just one word.

Elara was so melancholy and conflicted, secretly cursing "wooden man" again. But it was also a bit ridiculous, because Elara secretly saw that Kellen's affectionate gaze was always fixed on her face, full of a smile, dazed, not avoiding Elara's laughter at all. At the same time, Elara saw a bitter smile on Kellen's face, of course. The taste of the smile was, of course, a double inquiry, self-reproach and self-apology for not finding the right words.

Elara simply withdrew her gaze at the afterglow, gave a charming smile, and naturally felt a sweet tightness in her heart. But add "Wooden man". Of course, these three words have probably been shouted a thousand times in Elara's mind. Every time it goes deep, every time it's sweet, every time it's intoxicating...

Peaks come and go, seemingly no way out, suddenly the Golden Spirit Palace opens up.

Gold bricks, golden tiles, golden glassware. The open palace is resplendent with gold. Looking up, beneath the sky, the palace is full of wonders, neatly arranged. Like an endless golden chessboard, it stretches to the end of Yinchuan. Gold and silver converge, brilliant and splendid. Glittering and magnificent. Magnificent, sacred and solemn.

The eaves of the courtyard are like wings, soaring into the clouds. The wind chimes, like music, swirl gracefully. The pagoda, with its golden glow, stands tall and proud. The bell and drum towers and pavilions are majestic and imposing. The archway is adorned with golden pillars and flying dragons. The gates are adorned with golden pillars, and the lions are mighty.

Looking into the courtyard, the ground is paved with gold. Counting the steps, they look like bars of gold. Look at the gates, high eaves and wide roofs. The beams are grand and imposing.

The golden dragon coiled around the pillar and the phoenix dancing in the courtyard. Under the lofty and towering eaves, a golden plaque hangs conspicuously. In the center of the plaque, the large, flowing gold characters were the very neat and vigorous characters of the Jinling clan: Jinling Palace.

At every gate of the palace, there were guards in golden armor. In the imperial palace, there were rows of golden armor, groups of troops, and the sound of footsteps, 咵咵, in unison, patrolled the battlefields and fortresses throughout the palace.

Occasionally, one could see groups of maidservants in golden robes, with their graceful butterfly steps, moving through the pavilions and corridors. There are also cloud-headed maidservants, dressed in golden-threaded jade robes, sitting in twos and threes by the garden stream, by the small pool, on the rockery, and resting in the pavilion. Sometimes smiling sweetly, sometimes whispering to each other. Whether it's the supple waist, the fluttering butterfly steps, or the starry eyes, the bright moon. Whether it is a charming smile, a pretty smile, or a whisper, a nod in thought. It always attracts many envious glances and gives rise to many beautiful fantasies, and indeed becomes another beautiful sight in the Golden Spirit Palace.
