Chapter 66 - 66

He didn't care if Touzawa would die.

He was only worried that once Yosuke Honkawa killed someone, he might never be able to return to his original self, completely losing his reason and emotions.

Chu Yang ran off so abruptly that by the time Kurosaki Ichigo reacted, he was already far away. Seeing him rush off like that, Kurosaki Ichigo instinctively felt that something bad had happened.

"Where are you going? Wait for me!" Kurosaki Ichigo swung his satchel around onto his back and chased after him, but no matter how hard he chased, the distance between him and Chu Yang only grew.

"What the hell?!" Kurosaki Ichigo was shocked. Since he was a child, not only were his grades good, but his athleticism also crushed his peers; he had never lost. This was the first time he had been thwarted.

After chasing for a while longer, Chu Yang's silhouette completely disappeared from Kurosaki Ichigo's sight. He had no choice but to stop, panting heavily, drenched in sweat. "How is he so fast? Is he even human? He's a complete monster!"

"This direction, I remember it was yesterday's park... No, it's that construction company!" Kurosaki Ichigo was startled. He quickly connected the dots and, no longer bothering to rest, gritted his teeth and rushed forward desperately.

"Uncle Yosuke, please don't do anything foolish!"

To reach the construction company faster, Chu Yang simply took a straight path, passing through dark alleys and narrow, old-fashioned residential areas. There were few people here, and with the old streetlights, even if he ran across rooftops, he wouldn't attract the attention of pedestrians.

It was also a taste of Naruto Chu Yang's daily life.

But what Chu Yang didn't know was...

Kurosaki Ichigo, behind him, was actually gritting his teeth and catching up.

He just happened to see him leap onto the rooftop and disappear.

"What is this guy doing? A Ninja? Holy crap..." Kurosaki Ichigo was stunned, instinctively cursing a few times.

By the time Chu Yang leaped down from the rooftop, he had already reached the front of the construction company, with only a road separating them.

The surroundings were silent. Other than the rustling of the cold wind, not even a cat's meow could be heard. Even at night, such silence was abnormal and eerie.

Observation Haki can sense the aura of living beings, but sensing pure souls is something Chu Yang cannot do at his current level.

As for whether Roger's level of "hearing the voice of all things" could do it, Chu Yang didn't know, because his Observation Haki hadn't reached that level.

Chu Yang walked along the silent road towards the construction company. His intuition told him that Yosuke Honkawa was here.

But the worst seemed to have already happened...

The moment Chu Yang approached the construction company, all the windows of the entire building shattered simultaneously. Shards of glass rained down like a storm from above Chu Yang's head.

The glass shards fell on Chu Yang, making a clinking sound. He had already covered his entire body with Armament Haki and was not injured.

As the glass shattered, Chu Yang clearly heard the roar of a monster, which made his heart sink.

Chu Yang stomped hard on the ground and leaped directly to the second floor of the construction company. He didn't see Yosuke Honkawa, only a monster with a hollow in its chest and wearing a mask, holding Touzawa high in the air.

Yosuke Honkawa had turned into a Hollow.

"Help... help me..." Touzawa had no idea what was happening, only constantly shouting for help. His voice was very faint, indicating he was severely injured.

"Shout for a hammer!" Chu Yang cursed, charging directly at the Hollow-transformed Yosuke Honkawa, using brute force to knock him flying.

Touzawa fell from the air, crashing heavily onto the ground, his mouth full of blood.

Chu Yang looked down at him, then walked away coldly. This guy deserved to die, but he couldn't die by Yosuke Honkawa's hand.

Soul bodies were enemies Chu Yang had never encountered before. Chu Yang was unsure how much substantial damage Haki could inflict on soul bodies. He wasn't worried about being unable to break through their defenses, but rather about directly killing Yosuke Honkawa with one punch.

Chu Yang's fist was not a Zanpakuto; it didn't have the ability of a Zanpakuto to purify Hollows and send them to Soul Society. A Hollow killed by him would truly be dead.

Therefore, Chu Yang could only try to use martial arts to restrain Yosuke Honkawa, waiting for the Shinigami to react.

As long as a Hollow appeared in the Human World, Soul Society would know about it immediately; there was no need to worry that Shinigami wouldn't appear.

Unless...

A more powerful Hollow appeared nearby at the same time.

Before the Shinigami arrived, Chu Yang had to prevent him from rampaging and harming innocent people. He could only use Observation Haki to observe the movements of living people around him while leading Yosuke Honkawa to a sparsely populated area.

Among the combat techniques of Fish-Man Karate, there were many grappling and restraining techniques, which were perfectly suited for the current situation.

The Hollow-transformed Yosuke Honkawa was enormous, and his casual attacks caused terrifying, large-scale destruction, which was alarming.

If Yosuke Honkawa, who had just transformed into a Hollow, was already so powerful, it was hard to imagine how strong the Great Hollows above him would be.

On the other side, Kurosaki Ichigo also arrived near the construction company.

Whether it was due to the intense exercise or the sight of the surrounding desolate wreckage, Kurosaki Ichigo was trembling slightly.

"What on earth happened?"

Having lived for 15 years, Kurosaki Ichigo had interacted with many souls, but this was the first time he had seen such a situation.

"Help..."

A weak cry for help came from the ruins.

Kurosaki Ichigo followed the sound and found Touzawa buried in the rubble.

Kurosaki Ichigo quickly pulled him out of the ruins, placed him by the roadside, and then called for an ambulance.

"Hey, did you see a guy wearing the same school uniform as me?"

Hearing Kurosaki Ichigo's question, the weak Touzawa barely managed to open his eyelids. He only glanced at Kurosaki Ichigo's school uniform, and his face immediately changed drastically.

Holy crap, he's from the same school as that jinx?

Could he also be a Lord Yama?

Touzawa pointed in the direction where Chu Yang and Yosuke Honkawa had disappeared, saying loudly, "He went that way!"

"Thanks! I've already called an ambulance for you. Just stay here and don't move."

Kurosaki Ichigo got up and ran, not forgetting to turn back and admonish him, "Don't move!"

Touzawa nodded repeatedly, but after Kurosaki Ichigo had gone far, he still struggled to crawl towards the other side of the road.

"Are you kidding me? Don't move? You and that kid are in cahoots, planning to rob and kill me. Do you think I can't tell? I don't believe you at all!"

Touzawa, who couldn't perceive souls, blamed everything that had just happened on Chu Yang. He could only blame it on Chu Yang.

After all, how could a normal person easily believe in the existence of ghosts and spirits?

Touzawa struggled to crawl forward, completely forgetting Kurosaki Ichigo's warning. Perhaps he was so engrossed in crawling that he didn't notice the flashing lights in the distance.

By the time the roaring engine of a car sounded in his ears, it was too late.

The sky was dark, and the surrounding streetlights were completely destroyed.

It was pitch black all around, and the driver couldn't see anything on the road.

Thump ~ Thump ~

With two dull thuds.

The car jolted sharply, then drove a short distance before stopping.

The driver got out of the car, looking around anxiously, but it was pitch black in front of him. Besides being able to see rubble on the road by the Gekko, he couldn't see anything else.

The driver scratched his head, then returned to the car, restarting the engine while comforting his family.

"What was that?"

"It looks like a rock. There's rubble everywhere on the road, it's too dark to see..."

"Why isn't anyone cleaning it up? It's so dangerous at night!"

"I'll call the city hall later."

As the engine roared again, the car drove further and further away. No one noticed Touzawa, who was lying on the ground, barely alive and covered in blood.

He lay in a pool of blood, reaching out weakly.

Receiving no response, Touzawa was slowly engulfed by despair.

He suddenly thought.

That day, when Yosuke Honkawa was hit and killed by a car during late-night construction, was he as desperate as I am now?

Touzawa's thoughts froze at that moment, then permanently went silent.

...

Kurosaki Ichigo felt like his throat was about to catch fire.

He had run a distance today that was almost equivalent to a long-distance marathon, and he had maintained a sprinting pace throughout.

Heaven helps those who help themselves. Just as he was about to give up, Chu Yang finally appeared before him.

Besides that...

There was also a giant, a guy three or four stories tall, radiating a terrifying aura.

Kurosaki Ichigo licked his lips, feeling parched, not because of dehydration, but because he saw Chu Yang fighting that giant bare-handed.

Especially when he saw Chu Yang punch the giant more than ten meters away, goosebumps rose all over his body.

"And I was worried about him..." Kurosaki Ichigo silently took a few steps back. "I should be worried about myself, right?"

No sooner had he spoken than a car, overturned by Yosuke Honkawa, brushed past Kurosaki Ichigo, crashing into a streetlight behind him and exploding into a dazzling display of fireworks.

Kurosaki Ichigo was thrown by the blast, spinning several times in the air before landing.

Thump ~

Kurosaki Ichigo, who had crashed heavily onto the ground, grimaced in pain.

Just as he was about to shout out, he found himself enveloped by a huge dark shadow.

He shivered and looked up.

The giant was looking down at him, a friendly smile on his face.

He raised his foot...

And stomped down!

Kurosaki Ichigo instinctively closed his eyes and raised his arms to protect himself.

The next second.

The imagined pain didn't appear. Instead, he felt a light, floating sensation, as if he were flying.

He opened his eyes and saw Chu Yang carrying him, having jumped onto the roof of a residential building on the other side.

Although he had many questions, Kurosaki Ichigo still asked the most important one, "Where is Uncle Yosuke?"
