Chapter 31 - 31

Someone's sleeping here, looks like my roommate. Let's go say hello…"

As soon as he finished speaking, Chu Yang opened his eyes to see Malfoy and his two companions standing stiffly in front of him, staring at him dumbfounded.

"So, my new roommate is you?" Chu Yang, still groggy from sleep, said impatiently, "You woke me up, you know?"

"Sorry!" Goyle and Crabbe apologized in unison with a ninety-degree bow.

Malfoy's family background was indeed impressive.

But at school, Chu Yang's fists were also very hard, and the two knew this very well.

"You two cowards, why are you so respectful to him?" Malfoy, who had just returned from the hospital wing, was full of vigor. He clearly hadn't realized how dangerous his situation was.

At this moment, Chu Yang had been completely woken up by his loud voice and was sitting on the bed, watching him with an unfriendly expression.

"Draco, there's something I haven't had a chance to tell you…" Goyle quietly leaned into Malfoy's ear and whispered the exciting story the other party had missed these past two days.

As he listened, Malfoy's face changed dramatically, his previous arrogance completely gone. He asked incredulously, "Are you kidding me? How could he possibly defeat so many people with his bare hands?"

Goyle and Crabbe shook their heads in unison, and Goyle also reminded him, "Draco, you'd better believe it…"

Malfoy was about to say something more when Chu Yang, sitting on the bed, pulled a bookmark from a book, imbued it with Armament Haki, and threw it out.

The bookmark shot out of Chu Yang's hand like a cannonball, embedding itself firmly in the doorframe above the heads of the three people opposite him.

More than half of the bookmark sank into the wooden doorframe as if cutting through tofu.

Malfoy's pupils suddenly constricted, and Goyle and Crabbe cried out in alarm. The three of them held hands and retreated step by step in horror towards the door.

"Sorry, I have a bit of a temper when I wake up." Chu Yang sat on the bed, looking at him with a half-smile and said, "What are you standing there for? Come in and sleep, it's already so late!"

After speaking, he then said to Goyle and Crabbe, "What? Are you two planning to stay and sleep too?"

At these words, the two big, fat men immediately abandoned the trembling Malfoy beside them and ran away without hesitation, disappearing through the doorway in an instant.

"You two damned traitors!" Malfoy was both startled and angry. He also wanted to run, but he had no strength in his body, and his legs felt as heavy as if filled with lead.

Suddenly, a chill ran up Malfoy's spine. His breathing became rapid, and he said with a hint of a whimper, "I'm very sorry for disturbing your sleep…"

"I accept your apology, Mr. Malfoy." Chu Yang yawned and lay back down, "I hope you don't wake me up again. It's best if you don't make any noise at all. I'm a very light sleeper."

Malfoy looked up at the bookmark deeply embedded in the doorframe, swallowed hard, and then clutched his throat in terror.

Because he realized that in the quiet, empty room, the sound of swallowing would also become very obvious.

Even though Chu Yang said he could come in and sleep, Malfoy dared not stay in the same room as Chu Yang. He tiptoed out, not forgetting to close Chu Yang's room door for him.

Poor Malfoy spent his first night out of the hospital wing in the common room.

Fortunately, no one was fighting him for the sofa, and the common room fire would not go out.

In the flickering firelight, Malfoy curled up on the sofa and fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, Malfoy woke up to a burst of inexplicable laughter.

He opened his eyes and found himself surrounded by classmates, as well as older students.

Even…

Professor Snape, the Head of Slytherin House, was standing in front of him!

"Wow! I just came to check, just in case, and I didn't expect there to be a guest in the common room last night!" Snape said in a low, displeased voice, "Are first-years so fond of this common room? Do they even fight over sleeping in it?"

"Stand up! Malfoy!"

Hearing Snape's roar, Malfoy jolted, his sleepiness instantly gone. He scrambled off the sofa in a hurry.

The surrounding laughter grew stronger until Snape's gloomy gaze swept around.

Only then did the students lower their heads and quickly leave the common room.

The disheveled Malfoy got up from the floor, not forgetting to adjust his hair, then respectfully said, "Good morning, Professor Snape."

"Good morning? I don't think it's good at all!" Snape said angrily, "Your classmates already slept in the common room all night yesterday, not only completely abandoning Slytherin etiquette but also causing the house to lose points on the first day of school!"

"Now you're doing it again?" Snape's voice echoed in Malfoy's ears like a storm in a valley, "May I ask, what would be the consequences if your father saw you like this at school?"

Malfoy trembled all over and immediately pleaded in a low voice, "Professor, please don't let my father know, he'll kill me…"

Snape saw Malfoy's fear in his eyes and sighed in relief, "Now tell me, why are you sleeping here?"

Malfoy hesitated for a moment, but under Snape's sharp gaze, he still stammered out what had happened last night.

"A small piece of paper, without any magical help, embedded itself in the doorframe like a knife?" Snape sneered disdainfully, "Mr. Malfoy, are you telling a story?"

"Perhaps I should help you submit an article to the Daily Prophet or The Quibbler, Mr. Draco Malfoy, the great novelist!"

Malfoy cried aggrievedly, whispering, "Professor, I'm not lying, Goyle and Crabbe saw it too!"

Now, it was Snape's turn to be skeptical.

Could such an absurd thing really happen?

Chapter 48: Fists are hard, wands are not soft either

Snape left the crying Malfoy and walked towards the first-year dormitories. Goyle and Crabbe had just finished changing clothes when Snape pulled them out for a confrontation.

Having received a confirmed answer, Snape, with a mix of surprise and doubt, went to Chu Yang's room.

Malfoy and his two companions followed closely behind Snape.

Snape pushed the door open forcefully, then looked up and found no damage anywhere.

Chu Yang, who had just come out of the washroom, saw Snape's frosty face, and the aggrieved Malfoy behind him.

Chu Yang smiled and said, "Respected Professor Snape, is there anything at this early hour?"

Snape took a deep breath and did not bring up the issue of the bookmark, but instead asked, "Mr. Malfoy is your roommate, but he slept in the common room last night. Do you have an explanation for this?"

Chu Yang quickly glanced at Malfoy and his two companions, then asked in surprise, "Malfoy actually slept in the common room last night?"

A look of regret appeared on his face, and his tone was apologetic, "I went to bed quite early last night, and Malfoy and his friends woke me up when they returned. I complained a few times, and he might have gone to sleep in the common room because of that."

Chu Yang looked at Malfoy with a smile, "I'm very sorry, Malfoy."

Malfoy's scalp tingled!

"However, I remember inviting you to stay and rest later, didn't I?" Chu Yang looked sincerely at Malfoy and his two companions.

Goyle and Crabbe instinctively nodded beside him. Chu Yang hadn't lied; he had indeed asked Malfoy to stay last night, but the other party was too scared and ran away.

Snape, who finally understood the whole story, looked at Malfoy coldly, "Mr. Malfoy, I am a person who despises lies. I will truthfully inform your father of your behavior today."

Malfoy immediately let out a miserable shriek!

The highest form of lie in the world is to scramble the truth and then add embellishments before spreading it.

Chu Yang smiled comfortably, but in the eyes of Goyle and Crabbe, his smile was like that of a devil.

"Hurry to class!"

Snape roared, causing Malfoy and his two companions to leave the dormitory in a panic.

Before leaving, Snape gave Chu Yang a deep look.

He knew that things were not as simple as Chu Yang made them out to be, but since the other party hadn't revealed any flaws, there was no need for him to pursue it further.

As for Malfoy, Snape's anger towards him was entirely due to his foolishness.

If arrogance and strength are not commensurate, then one is merely an arrogant idiot.

Chu Yang, who understood Snape's temperament, realized that the matter was over after seeing his reaction.

The first thing Chu Yang did after waking up this morning was to erase the traces from last night.

After removing the bookmark, he used a Reparo Charm to restore everything.

Snape probably wouldn't have imagined that a newly admitted wizard could cast spells so skillfully.

After Malfoy and his two companions and Snape left the dormitory, Chu Yang slowly packed his things and went out. As soon as he reached the common room, he was blocked by several older students.

"Kid, I heard you knocked out quite a few first-years the night before last? What you learned in the Muggle world won't always work here." A tall older student glared down at Chu Yang.

Chu Yang smiled politely and said, "It's fine if it worked the night before last!"

The tall older student's anger flared when he heard Chu Yang's reply. He hadn't expected a first-year to dare to talk back to him like that.

"Harper!" A slender boy with long, curly hair next to him reached out and stopped the older student who was about to lose his temper. "We are wizards, not thugs fighting in the Muggle streets. We have our own ways of dealing with things."

The burly student named Harper suppressed his anger and took a few steps back, saying in a deep voice, "You're right, Marcus."

As he spoke, the long-haired boy named Marcus pulled out his wand from his robe, pointed it at Chu Yang, "Do you know how many points our house lost because of you? And it's only the beginning of the school year!"

Seeing him take out his wand, the polite smile on Chu Yang's face disappeared, and he said with a serious expression, "Firstly, I've already added back the points Slytherin lost. Secondly, are you sure you want to do this? Do you have the courage to bear all the consequences?"

"Courage?" Marcus smiled playfully, mocking, "Courage isn't exclusive to Gryffindor. Slytherin never lacks courage either."

As the two confronted each other, another older student with a strong presence walked over from the spiral staircase, chest out, and said as he approached them, "Marcus, don't go too far, or I'll have trouble explaining it to the school. This is my last year here, and I don't want to leave a stain."

"No problem, Prefect, I'll just use a simple Stupefy to keep him in the common room all day." Marcus replied respectfully.

The person gave Chu Yang a cold glance, then left the common room without looking back.

Was repairing a non-pureblood wizard a big deal in Slytherin?

Of course not!

These older students had wanted to deal with Chu Yang last night, but because Chu Yang had temporarily changed dormitories, they hadn't been able to find him.

Who would have thought that Chu Yang, from an orphanage, could live in a two-person room?

Students continuously walked past Chu Yang, all appearing very indifferent.

No one here would care about his fate…

"Slytherin is truly a good place. I'm starting to like it more and more." Chu Yang's lips curled into a smile, but his eyes were radiating dangerous signals.

"I'll make you understand that fists are useless to a wizard!" Marcus waved his wand, simultaneously chanting a spell. His casting speed was very fast, almost completing the spell in two seconds.

The tip of Marcus's wand glowed faintly.

He swung it hard, and the activated spell shot towards Chu Yang like lightning.
