Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Reapers Squad Begins

Akane suddenly burst through the infirmary doors like a thunderstorm, her voice sharp and echoing down the quiet hallway, "Kaizen, you absolute brat! Where the hell are you hiding now? You were supposed to be with Rex on the lower floor, remember? Don't tell me you ditched him again! I swear, if you've dragged yourself into another ridiculous mess, I'm going to strangle you myself!" She marched in with her hands on her hips, her eyes scanning the room with a mix of frustration and worry. "Why is it that wherever you go, chaos follows like it's your best friend?!"

"Someone told me you were carrying a girl to the medical room, so I rushed here to check on the trouble you'd gotten into this time," Akane exclaimed as she stormed into the room.

Her eyes darted around wildly, scanning for injuries or chaos, expecting the worst.

"Did you seriously get yourself into something again like yesterday? What are you, a magnet for madness?"

Kaizen, surprisingly calm, responded, "Relax, Akane, I'm fine. And this time, I didn't cause a big commotion."

Akane, still wary, observed Yui with suspicion. "I see," she said, eyeing Yui carefully.

Yui, feeling uneasy, introduced herself timidly, "Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Yui. Kaizen didn't do anything; it was my fault. I'm sorry, sorry, sorry."

Akane, taken aback by Yui's nervousness, quickly reassured her, "Hey, I wasn't accusing you of anything. Relax."

Kaizen chimed in, trying to lighten the mood, "Yeah, she may look like a devil, but she's not that dangerous."

After calming down Yui, Kaizen recounted the events to Akane, explaining everything that had happened earlier.

Akane nodded, her expression serious. "I see. So, tell me the names of these groups."

Kaizen, visibly annoyed, interjected, "You devil! She was about to tell me their names, and you just barged in out of nowhere."

Apologizing quickly, Akane said, "Oh, sorry. Let's carry on then. Yui, that's your name, right?"

Yui nodded calmly. "Yes. There are many groups in this college. They engage in activities like stealing students' items and money, and bullying them relentlessly. No one dares to stand up to their filthy deeds because they blackmail them completely. Most students either succumb to this bullying or join them out of fear."

Akane listened intently, her brow furrowing. "And these groups, how are they structured?"

Yui explained, "The groups are organized into three tiers. The first tier consists of the leaders, the ones pulling the strings. Then, there are the enforcers, who carry out their orders with brute force. Finally, there are the followers, students who join these groups either willingly or under coercion."

She continued, "Each year has its own dominant group:

First Year: The Achievers — They focus on manipulation and tech-based control. Their leader is Kaito, a cunning strategist.

Second Year: The Dashing Peeps — A flashy, arrogant group known for public humiliation tactics. Their leader is Ares, a charismatic but cruel influencer.

Third Year: The Heavenly Kings — The top dogs, brutal and feared. Their leader is BANE, the older brother of Rose, and the true mastermind behind most of the terror in this college."

Yui added, her tone somber, "BANE started this system years ago, and he's the one pulling all the strings."

Kaizen, with a grim expression, remarked, "So, BANE is the puppet master pulling all the strings."

Akane, wide-eyed, responded, "It seems like we've stumbled into something much bigger than we anticipated. We need to tread carefully."

"Should I tell my father? He could shut down this whole operation," Akane pondered aloud.

Curious, Yui asked, "Who is your father?"

With pride, Akane replied, "He's one of the top businessmen in this country, and he owns 50% of the shares in this college."

Yui was taken aback. "Wow, I'm shocked," she admitted.

Kaizen, unable to resist a jab, teased, "Yeah, shocked that she doesn't look like the typical rich father's daughter. More like a devil and a problematic kid like her."

Angrily, Akane retorted, "Watch your words, you brat!"

Kaizen kept laughing as Akane playfully hit him.

Observing their interaction, Yui saw a wholesome connection between them, despite their bickering.

After their funny brawl, they sat calmly. Kaizen turned to Akane, saying, "Let me handle this situation. I'll rise to the top and become the new leader of the groups, shutting them down. But I need Rex by my side and a few more members."

Akane nodded, agreeing to Kaizen's plan.

Yui expressed her concern, "Is it okay to do that? They have strong guys too."

Confidently, Kaizen reassured her, "Don't worry, I can handle them easily. Piece of cake for me."

Agreeing, Akane chimed in, "Yeah, Yui, he may look stupid, but he's incredibly strong."

Kaizen grinned, "Yeah, but 'stupid' isn't the word for me."

Yui nodded, suggesting, "Okay, then let's form a group. But first, we need a name."

After some discussion, they settled on the name "The Reapers Squad."

Akane and Yui simultaneously exclaimed, "Lame!"

Kaizen's enthusiasm waned momentarily, but he defended the choice, "It's a good name!"

Seeing Kaizen's disappointment, Akane and Yui relented, "Okay, okay. We don't have much time, so let's stick with it."

Kaizen's mood brightened instantly, "Let's go!" he exclaimed, eager to get started.

Later that night, Kaizen sat alone in his room, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. His mind drifted to an old memory — one that stung a little.

"Rex... where is that stupid man? It's been years," he muttered.

His expression darkened, brows furrowed.

"I'll ask around tomorrow. I need answers. I need him."

The light from his phone dimmed as he rolled over, determination settling in his heart.
