Episode 1: The Ex-Fiancé and the Wedding Invitation
Lynn Mokoena strutted into the boardroom like she owned the building — because technically, she did. Her heels clicked against the marble floor, echoing with every powerful step. The room fell silent as her presence sucked all the air out of it. She didn't need to say anything. People already knew — this woman was untouchable.
Until she opened the envelope in her hand.
It was thick. White. Elegant. Expensive.
An invitation to a wedding.
Her breath caught as her eyes scanned the gold lettering.
"You are cordially invited to the wedding of Thabiso Radebe and Naledi Maseko."
Her ex-fiancé.
Her ex-best friend.
Lynn let out a short laugh — one of those cold, sharp ones. "So they're actually doing it. Wow."
She placed the invitation down on the table, right next to her iced coffee. Her assistant looked worried.
"Should I cancel your afternoon meetings?"
"No," Lynn said calmly. "In fact, reschedule my weekend. I'm going to a wedding."
Her eyes burned with a silent promise. They thought they broke her. They were about to learn why she was the one nobody should ever cross.
And just as she turned to leave, her phone buzzed.
Unknown Number: "We need to talk. I know what they did to you. Meet me tonight. – L."
Her fingers tightened around the phone. L?
It couldn't be…
