I inspected my shrine for a moment, besides the mural above it changing to a rough depiction of me it really didn't change much. As I scanned through the system Messages I realized I had dismissed one out of hand. I had gained five levels since level 9 when I became a Daemon. Now I had a new Trait to pick out.
The two standard ones where tempting, especially [Split Aspect] considering I could be at two places at once though it did suck that I was only going to be at 80% percent strength in total when split. [Divine Exchange] sounded like a Divine version of the stock market, with each Conceptual Plain having a different value probably based on Rarity and usefulness.
The class slot was essentially useless to me until I reached rank Two.
The two others though the [Domain] ones where interesting. [Force Field] was definitely in the running, as being able to create force fields on the fly was cool as fuck, and I could create forts in a pitch with the permanent one. [Strength of the Underlands] was also a contender as getting a massive buff to my strength in the caves would be massive for this tutorial.
Ultimately, though [Force Field] won out simply because it could keep me and my allies safe.
Selecting it, I felt a small beam of Divine energy enter my mind and soon I knew how to create force fields out of Mana and Divine power.
Stretching my hand out I activated the temporary one and my mind reached out of my skull weaving Mana like it was a basket until a second later a thin but strong square of floating above my out stretched palm.
Dismissing it the mana construct unwove itself and displayed that small shield cost 5 Mana. Shrugging I moved my way over to the [Myrmidon Queen Egg] and looking at the egg it was slightly transparent and I could see a small humanoid curled up in a fetal position picking up the egg I received a system notification.

[Quest Reward Received]
You have laid claim to the [Myrmidon Queen Egg]. As this is a system reward, you can choose to hold it safely in Stasis during your duration of the Tutorial.
Accept [Y/N]
...
That solved the problem Pressing yes the egg shifted into a small Pentagon shaped token.
...
[Quest Reward Token]
This item can be broken in half only intentionally by the system recognized owner. The item redeemed is a [Myrmidon Queen Egg] the owner [Kien Noble] has the authority to gift this token at that time the new owner of the token can redeem it.
...
That was convenient not that I was going to sell the egg. Pocketing the token I turned to the pile of normal giant ant eggs.
'uh, Anastasia are these eggs going to hatch?" I asked the small spider telepathically'
'huh, oh no an ant Queen would have to awaken them in the next week otherwise they will become inert.' she explained dismissively.
As I exited the main palace spiral I began to walk the Palace grounds, which were mainly outfitted for a long siege. This wasn't the Palace of Renaissance Royalty with fancy gardens and furnishings. As I passed what looked like ant barracks I stumbled across a small well outfitted Smithy.
Laying about was large scrolls and books, with some unrecognizable flowery script. What I could recognize was the detailed sketches. Showing a method wherein the person uses some special glue and puts between layers of chintin in hot coals. The results from what I pieced together was that the Chintin would shrink due to the properties of the glue and heat making it super dense and durable.
Luckily for me I had Chintin to spare and after some poking around a storage unit of the glue. Setting up a small fire pit in the stone circle in the Smithy I used their store of dried out plants and started preparing the flame.
'Hey, Guys can you please bring the highest level ant corpses to the Smithy in the Palace?' I asked the Spiders telepathically.
As the Spiders began to pile up corpses of the ants I began to remove the ligaments and organs from the Chintin. Then I began to measure out each spider and using a makeshift charcoal pencil and some parchment I found stuffed into a desk. I drew out the designs, where the holes for the ligaments needed to be and how many plates of chintin to put in each piece.
The first set was made from seven layers of Chintin, carefully sectioned to and tied together to fit snuggly over the Thorax of the spider. As I began to craft more and more each time little improvements.

[Spider Chintin Armor]
Rank One Common Medium Armor
This armor somewhat crudely crafted but with the essence of a higher level technique. Each layer of Chintin is carefully layered and glued using a magical glue and bathed in hot coals.
Effect: [Superior Material]
...
That was the first one that I crafted, afterwards I continued to study the Manuels trying to clean more of the 'higher level Technique'. Eventually I came across a drawing that depicted a pouring of a reddish liquid into the glue and then mixing.
'Hey, Anastasia do you know what this means?' I asked.
'hmm, let me take a look, its in a modified Myrmidon Script, it is very very loosely connected linguistically speaking to Arachnidian I pick out only a few conjugates, hmm yes right there this page here and here uses the word 'Kryckj' which means life-essence or as you humans would call it Blood' she explained while scanning through the paragraphs of the manuals using her legs to tap at a specific word in the script which upon closer inspection did seem to reappear quite often in this part of the Manuel.
Considering that the liquid shown in the sketches was red, I was inclined to believe that perhaps blood could be used as a binding agent. Moving to a small pot of the Adhesive I mixed in a few drops of my blood.

[Chintin Adhesive(Modified)]
Half-Step Rank Two Uncommon Adhesive
This is a special paste used in the forging of chintin armor and weapons. It has been mixed with the blood of a minor divine entity that's blood has special properties that could be imparted in the crafting process if completed properly.

Was good enough for me, I took out a few more ants from the pile and the pre drawn measurements of one of the spiders and began to prepare the materials. Soaking the Chintin and smoke drying the tendons and ligaments.
Applying the paste, like a Pb&j sandwich I placed the bulky individual pieces into the charcoals. I watched as the Chintin slowly started to shrink turning into the right sized pieces. Taking the ligaments and the tendons I began to sow and tie the pieces tightly and securely based on the measurements. After that I slowly removed the the sharp edges that might dig into the skin. Pulling out the finished piece I smiled.

[Spider Chintin Armor]
Half-step Rank Two Common Medium Armor
This armor somewhat crudely crafted but with the essence of a higher level technique. The Chintin Adhesive has been mixed with divine blood imparting special properties upon this piece.
Effects: [Superior Material] and [Posion Resistance]
...
The Upgrade to half step Rank Two was nice and the posion resistance was great. I imagine that if I crafted a Weapon it would impart posion instead of protecting against it.
I continued to craft making small improvements to the over arching design. I even experimented with making a weapon unfortunately the thing was a piece of garbage that the system didn't recognize it.
Now I felt comfortable with forging Anastasia's Armor. She was much smaller than her siblings requiring special tools. I made sure to make her as strong as I could but in the end there was only so much I could fit in a small piece.
I had use tweezers to bind each part to the other, and after I invested some of my Divine power using [Divine Imbuement] and [Concept Manipulation] to remove the concepts related to only ants I finished the small armor piece.

All in all this was a great piece of armor, putting it on the practically vibrating Spiderling as she jumped up and down in her new Armor.
'look, look at how fast I am in my new Armor, zoom zoom' she said as she made zooming noises into my head as crawled around the area
