The music is loud, the lights are bright but none of it touches Alison. She pushes through the crowd, chest tight, pulse wild.
Scott is gone again. Like smoke. Like a dream. Myles tries to follow, but she escapes him too. Saying she needs air, she needs to think. But thinking is dangerous tonight.
Alison slips onto the balcony the light dim, quiet, cool air licking her skin. The city sparkles below, but her head is loud.
She leans over the edge, trying to calm the storm inside her. And then… he appears.
Scott steps out of the shadows like he is a part of them.
No words. Just presence. That same pull. He says; ''Why are you Running away again?.''
She flinches but doesn't step back saying; "You disappeared."
He reply her; "I needed to see if you will come looking."
Their bodies slowly drift closer. She says, "This feels stupid."
He responds: "Stupid things are often the best kind."
He touches her waist, light at first, then firmer.
Her breath hitches. Her hands find his chest without thinking.
He leans in, forehead resting gently against hers.
He speaks with a soft tone; "Tell me to stop.''
She opens her mouth to speak but no words come.
So he kisses her. No music, No crowd, Just the two of them.
The kiss is slow, deep, hungry, like it's been waiting for years.
His hand slides up her bare back. Her fingers tug his collar.
Every touch feels like a promise and a warning.
When the kiss breaks, Alison gasps, dizzy.
"This is insane," she whispers.
"Then don't stop," he says, brushing her lips again.
"I don't even know your name."
"That makes it better, doesn't it?" he reply.
She laughs bitter, soft. "No. It makes it dangerous."
He presses his lips to her neck. "Exactly."
The balcony door creaks open, Myles steps out. His face falls when he sees them.
"Ali." One word, his face full of disappointment.
She turns, flushed and breathless, she ask ; ''What are you doing here.''
"I was looking for you," he lies.
Scott straightens up, wiping his mouth slowly with a smirk.
"She wasn't lost."
Alison feels torn two sides of her colliding.
The girl she was before tonight and the woman Scott's kiss just woke up.
"I need to go back inside," she says, voice uneven.
Scott catches her wrist saying. "You're not done with me yet''
She reply; ''You don't get to decide that."
He leans in, whispering low: "No, Red your body already did."
She pulls away and Walks past Myles. Back inside to the lights, the noise, the heat.
But something inside her is already changed.
And she knows, this isn't the last time she will let Scott touch her.
Not even close.
