Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Hancock Is Your Girlfriend?

"From now on, Selo is your brother-in-law! Treat him with the same respect you treat me!"

Hancock angrily glared at her two younger sisters.

Frightened, the two sisters immediately bowed their heads and apologized to Selo.

"They must've come to see you for something important, Hancock. Don't delay them."

Selo felt the need to portray himself as a thoughtful and understanding brother-in-law.

And it worked, visibly well.

Upon hearing this, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold looked at Selo with grateful eyes.

And Hancock immediately softened her attitude as well.

"It's the Navy. They've summoned you, Sister, to Marineford as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. You're to be there in preparation for any unexpected events that might happen during the public execution of Fire Fist Ace in fifteen days."

Boa Marigold quickly explained the reason for their visit.

Just as Selo had suspected.

At this point in time, the Navy was starting to mobilize its trump cards, the Warlords.

Selo already had a plan in mind.

Before the anxious Hancock could even open her mouth to refuse, Selo took the initiative to speak:

The execution is in fifteen days. So why not just head to Marineford in fifteen days, Hancock?"

"Selo is so smart! I'll listen to everything he says!"

With this, Hancock managed to avoid the risk of having her Warlord title revoked, while also getting to stay with Selo, just as she originally planned.

She immediately ordered her two sisters to return to Amazon Lily with the Kuja Pirates and stall the Navy.

Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia had never imagined that this short trip would end up costing them their sister.

Had they known, they would've stayed on Amazon Lily and continued slacking off.

Full of gloom and resignation, the two sisters walked off.

In contrast, Hancock was thrilled at the thought of spending more time by Selo's side.

"Squeak squeak squeak!"

Little Sparrow, upset about still not getting its ocean fish feast, made its displeasure known.

The more it looked at the human woman beside Selo, the more Little Sparrow felt she resembled the giant python from its nightmare last night.

It wanted to just set this woman on fire.

"What, just a small delay and you're already fuming? Come on, let's go get that fish feast!"

Seeing Little Sparrow practically steaming with anger, Selo chuckled, picked it up, and headed to the restaurant with Hancock.

This breakfast might be the best meal they'd have for the next couple of weeks.

They had to enjoy it while they could.

But when the trio, two humans and one bird, arrived at the restaurant, they were told the ocean fish feast had just been ordered by two other customers.

Hearing this terrible news, Little Sparrow couldn't hold back, or perhaps never planned to, and immediately blasted a jet of fire at the restaurant owner.

The owner was instantly charred black.

"There's not a single fish left?" Selo asked again, helplessly.

Seeing the ever-angrier Little Sparrow, the terrified restaurant owner had no choice but to go beg the other two customers for a portion of their order.

The owner had thought those two customers couldn't possibly eat all that fish.

But since they'd paid plenty of Berries, he hadn't said anything.

Soon, the restaurant owner returned with a smile.

"You two guests… I mean, three guests, those other two patrons said they're happy to share their fish feast with you, free of charge!"

Free?

Share?

Sounded good, who says no to free food?

Little Sparrow had the same thought and darted into the room where the two other guests were eating.

Selo and Hancock smiled at each other and followed in.

The moment they walked in, eight eyes met.

Selo and Hancock froze.

So did the two guests in the room.

"Sabo?!"

"Warlord of the Sea Boa Hancock?!!!"

The two guests turned out to be Sabo and Koala.

Not long ago, Selo had been racking his brain over where to find Sabo.

And now, Sabo had walked right into his path.

"Selo, you know them?"

Thinking Sabo and Koala were Selo's friends, Hancock instantly beamed at them.

After all, befriending Selo's acquaintances meant becoming a part of his life, something Hancock was eager to do.

While Selo did know Sabo and Koala, it was only a one-way street; they had never met him.

"How do you know my name?!"

Sabo stared at Selo in confusion.

He racked his brain for several seconds, but couldn't recall who this man was.

Plus, this man was with Boa Hancock, one of the Seven Warlords. He wasn't a revolutionary.

Safe to assume: a stranger.

Yet, the fact that a stranger could call out his name the moment they met was deeply unsettling.

Their revolution was supposed to be carried out in secrecy.

"I also know her name is Koala."

Seeing Sabo grow more and more on edge, Selo casually mentioned Koala's name.

Leaving both of them stunned.

"You know him, Sabo?"

"You know her, Koala?"

Neither of them knew Selo.

Hancock, still standing, was utterly baffled.

What was going on?!

As the four humans puzzled over the situation, Little Sparrow had already started tearing through the fish feast like a storm.

"Stupid humans, hope you enjoy chewing air!"

"I'm Selo. I'm not a pirate, not a marine, and not a revolutionary either."

Selo casually pulled Hancock down to sit opposite Sabo and Koala and gave a brief self-introduction.

This only confused them all even more.

It felt like the three of them had fallen into Selo's strange little world.

"Hancock is a Warlord, and also my girlfriend. Sabo and Koala are revolutionaries, though I only know you one-sidedly."

"Girlfriend?!"

"Revolutionaries? Wait, Selo just said I'm his girlfriend?! I'm so happy!!!"

Hearing Selo introduce her that way, Hancock didn't even care about Sabo and Koala's revolutionary status anymore.

Sabo and Koala, on the other hand, were stunned that this plain-looking guy named Selo was Boa Hancock's boyfriend.

Boa Hancock!

The Pirate Empress!

The world's most beautiful woman!

Any one of those titles would be astonishing.

But they all applied to this one woman.

How amazing must a man be to be her boyfriend?

To Sabo and Koala, Selo seemed completely ordinary, aside from being ridiculously handsome.

Oh, and his weird pet bird that only knew how to stuff its face.

"Squeak squeak squeak!"

Though Sabo and Koala didn't understand what Little Sparrow was saying, they could tell from the flames on its body that it was probably giving them a very enthusiastic greeting.

Tiny body, huge temper.

Best not to mess with it.

"How do you know us?"

Sabo quickly redirected the conversation, curious about how Selo knew them.

From start to finish, he hadn't sensed any hostility from Selo, so he was willing to talk calmly.

The Revolutionaries had no real conflict with Boa Hancock either.

Koala and Hancock also looked at Selo curiously, waiting for his answer.

"Because… I know everything."

Selo smiled mysteriously.

The way he said it and the look on his face managed to shake them all.

For a moment, they believed him.

But when they came to their senses, they realized there was no way anyone could know everything.

"Sabo, do you know who you are?"

It sounded like a throwaway question.

But it struck Sabo like a thunderbolt.

"Who am I?" echoed endlessly in his mind, leaving him dizzy.

A few seconds later, Sabo gripped his head in pain, wincing and frowning deeply.

Koala immediately rushed to comfort him.

She knew that Sabo had lost his memories.

Every time he tried to recall them, he'd suffer just like this.

"Sabo! Stop trying to remember!"

Seeing him in pain broke Koala's heart.

Across from them, Hancock was now the one confused; she had no idea what was happening to this revolutionary guy named Sabo.

At that moment, Selo heard a notification from the Mission Reward System in his mind:

Ding! Mission received: Reveal Sabo's past. Reward: A 30-day Logia Flame-Flame Fruit Ability Trial Card!

A trial card?

Selo didn't expect the reward to be something like that.

The Flame-Flame Fruit… that's Ace's current Devil Fruit ability!

If he used this 30-day Logia Flame-Flame Fruit Trial Card now, there'd be two users of the same Logia power in this world.

That alone would terrify anyone who found out.

Still, with such an easy mission, Selo had no reason to turn it down.

"Sabo, do you want to know about your past?"

"You… you know about my past?!"

Sabo's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Selo.

Koala and Hancock had similar expressions.

Could it be that… Selo does know everything?
