Ginkaku felt a surge of fear. After witnessing Tobirama's Flying Thunder God Slash and Edo Tensei, this once-confident ninja was now unnerved by abilities he couldn't comprehend.
Kinkaku, too, was at a loss. He had no plan and dared not underestimate the Second Hokage now that he'd brought Troy back to life with Edo Tensei. No longer confident in a quick victory, he instead shifted to cautious defense, waiting for an opening.
"Multiple—Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!…
Tobirama seized the moment while the enemy hesitated. He created multiple shadow clones to confuse and disorganize them.
Of the original twenty attackers, two were gone—Troy (hit and resurrected) and the sensory ninja. That left eighteen. Tobirama deliberately dispersed his clones to sow chaos, making coordinated counterattacks difficult.
Despite the chakra drain, Tobirama pressed on, resolved to execute his plan.
"Water Style—Water Severing Wave!"
With eighteen water blades surging in unison, he unleashed a sweeping wave across the enemy ranks. The force was tremendous—enough to slice through Earth-style defenses.
Kinkaku ordered his men to evade and, using the opportunity, split the force from four squads into eight. He and Ginkaku each took two followers; the rest formed small duos.
Tobirama noted their swift reorganization, impressed that they had dodged with such precision.
"How dare you underestimate us, cursed Second Hokage! Form up!"
"Ha! Earth Style—Great Boulder Formation!"
At Kinkaku's command, four elite Earth-style ninja rose at the cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west. They concentrated massive chakra to construct something far stronger than an Earth Wall.
Eight black chakra seals appeared around the wall's perimeter. They connected swiftly to form towering, thick, smooth boulders—three or four times higher than their previous barriers.
"Impossible… Earth Style on this scale?"
Tobirama gasped—and then sensed something wrong.
These were no ordinary boulders. Their texture was unlike typical Earth Style constructs—and dangerously… conductive.
"You only just realized? Too late! Die now, Second Hokage!"
Sharp crackling sounds emerged from the boulders' surfaces, igniting flames of electricity.
Eight ninja stepped forward—positioned at the cardinal and intermediate compass points: northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest. Their formation mirrored the eight trigrams of the Bagua symbol.
As they sealed their techniques, lightning flash with blinding speed, surging through both Earth and Water elements inside.
Tobirama's heart sank.
"If I use Water Style to defend, it'll only amplify their Lightning Style chakra… What should I do?"
Silently recalling his clones, he braced for the impending onslaught.
Though no lightning had struck yet, Tobirama could feel the build-up. When it came, its power would be astronomical.
Kinkaku stood atop the boulders, triumphant. Seeing Tobirama hemmed in, he grew even more confident.
"Lightning Style—Ultra-Strong Lightning Pillars!"
In that instant, the eight ninjas deluged the formation with terajoules of electrical energy. Their attack crawled up the smooth inner walls of the boulder formation in a perfect Bagua spiral, sealing every exit. Tobirama was trapped—no space to escape.
"Water Style—Water Severing Wave!"
Tobirama attempted to shatter the formation with a high-pressure water jet. But the boulders held firm, and their conductivity allowed the lightning to arc toward him. He narrowly retracted his technique—but the lightning would strike soon. No matter his strength, he couldn't withstand it.
"Kinkaku, Ginkaku! Finish him—even the Edo Tensei Troy must die!"
Kinkaku and Ginkaku sensed Tobirama's desperation. They focused full force.
A terrifying cyclone of Lightning Style attacked—and in an instant, Tobirama and resurrected Troy were completely destroyed, reduced to ash.
After the flash ended, the Kinkaku Force exhaled in relief.
"Finally… I didn't expect the Second Hokage to be this strong—forcing us this far…"
One member began to speak—but suddenly—square-shuriken and kunai burst forth from beneath the boulder formation!
"What?! How is this possible?!"
Horror washed over them. They hadn't anticipated any survivors under such an intense barrage. And these were Troy's weapons—he must still be alive.
Could this be the power of Edo Tensei? That final technique…
