Aaron observed the battlefield, choosing the opportune moment to strike. Whether to answer Sharron's prayer or to display his strength before Bernadette, this was an excellent chance.
The Sun Pathway's most core and fundamental purification ability is extremely restrictive against powers in the domains of corruption, defilement, erosion, Darkness, evil, and disease, especially against Specters, corrupted beings, and defiled entities.
Therefore, for Aaron, the ability of the "Sun Chaser Scepter" would be most effective and apparent against Mahmosi of the Rose School of Thought's Indulgence faction.
Looking at the terrifying tornado and accompanying tsunami in the prayer scene, Aaron then looked at the "Scepter of Disaster," its surface covered in dark patterns and its tip deep blue, almost black, guessing it might be a remnant from a Sequence 4 Cataclysmic Interrer.
The Unshadowed Spear at the tip of the "Sun Chaser Scepter" grew even more radiant. Just as Aaron was about to act, a blood-red pillar of light appeared, instantly piercing through the sweeping tornado and shooting towards Mahmosi in the distance.
The silhouette of an ancient-style spear emerged within the light pillar. From tip to hilt, this spear was stained with patches and specks of blood-red, emitting a strong aura of destruction, as if it could harm true deities.
"Spear of Longinus"!
This spear had appeared in an ancient, untraceable era, stained with the blood of a great existence. Now, through "Mystical Reenactment," it descended upon the battlefield.
Mahmosi, on the distant sea, his brown eyes filled with malice and madness, suddenly constricted. He tried to dodge but found his movements abnormally sluggish, watching the terrifying, blood-stained spear grow larger and larger in his pupils.
This was Bernadette's "Chessboard of Time," cast through Mystical Reenactment, which could slow down the target's actions, as if they had entered an area with a different flow of time.
With a loud roar, a red and black light erupted, and the surging waves smoothed out the original tsunami.
As the light faded, Mahmosi was covered in black viscous fluid, a large hole ripped open in his chest. A lot of black substance gathered, attempting to repair itself, but was hindered by some force.
Mahmosi's eyes were blood-red. Ignoring his injuries, he looked coldly at Bernadette with a cruel smile.
A small, intricately patterned doll, wrapped in black branches, appeared in his hand at some unknown point. The doll suddenly opened its eyes.
Before Bernadette could stop it, the doll mumbled a word indistinctly, and with a strange smile, extended its hands, wrapped in black branches, pulling a phantom, hazy Door inscribed with many mysterious symbols out of thin air.
This was the "Door of Summoning"!
A Sequence 3 of the Moon Pathway is called a High Summoner!
This eerie doll, clearly a living characteristic, directly completed a "Summoning"!
However, its overall demeanor changed somewhat as a result; the doll's face lost much of its rationality, becoming more obviously mad and eerie.
With a phantom creaking sound, the "Door of Summoning" opened a crack.
Through the crack, two hands, whose mere aura sent shivers down one's spine, reached out. Their skin was dull and lacked texture, like the cheapest ragdolls.
Looking at those arms, a thought suddenly flashed through Bernadette's mind and Aaron's mind in the Nation of Disorder:
"Another Angel of the Rose School of Thought, 'King of Curses' Barranca!"
"Can't play fair, can you? Just fell into a disadvantage and started calling the Boss directly?"
Aaron thought with a slight headache from his throne, the Unshadowed Spear in his hand poised to strike.
The "Sun Chaser Scepter," in its semi-sealed state, could at most unleash an attack comparable to Sequence 3, which was more than enough to deal with Mahmosi. But against "King of Curses" Barranca, it would be severely lacking, even if only two of his arms extended through.
Considering this was his first formal display of strength and status before Bernadette, Aaron gritted his teeth, glanced back at the "Eye of Chaos" embedded at the top of his throne, and had an idea.
"There's no need to target 'King of Curses' Barranca directly. If I destroy the medium of his teleportation portal, forcing him to leave is also feasible."
After Aaron made up his mind, the golden patterns on his body, radiating divine light, instantly brightened. Waves of unknown fluctuations emerged, echoing through the grand palace. The dark-gold mist followed the fluctuations, finally surging together into the "Eye of Chaos" embedded at the top of the throne.
A pillar of light shot from the "Eye of Chaos" directly to the Unshadowed Spear at the tip of the "Sun Chaser Scepter." The light, instead of growing more radiant, gradually became contained, like a volcano before eruption, emitting waves of alarming fluctuations that stirred the surrounding dark-gold mist.
Outside, Bernadette slightly raised a finger, and a curtain of light appeared, shielding the vision of those inside the Future, preventing them from seeing things they shouldn't and thus becoming corrupted.
Immediately, her mythical creature form manifested, condensing pure white, ethereal feathers.
As her wings fluttered, two more Spears of Longinus shot out, only to be directly shattered by the arms that looked like the cheapest ragdolls.
At the same time, a chilling wind suddenly swept across the sea, forcefully pulling at Bernadette's spirit body and preventing her from maintaining her unseen state and possession.
Bernadette's consciousness wavered for a moment, and her mythical creature state automatically dissolved. An eye-like pattern, seemingly capable of peering into the secrets of fate, appeared on her forehead, stabilizing her spirit body and clearing her consciousness.
Bernadette's pupils constricted slightly. She was about to summon her messenger to retrieve her Grade 0 Sealed Artifact but suddenly turned to look behind her.
The Future, enveloped by the "Peach Blossom Source," was torn apart from within by an immense force. Everyone present, including Sharron, Cattleya, and Frank, who hadn't fainted on the Future, seemed to see a vision:
Inside a magnificent grand hall surrounded by boundless dark-gold mist, a towering figure, obscured by gray mist, sat on the deepest throne, looking down upon them.
To the side of the throne, a blurry figure covered in golden patterns and with 12 pairs of wings on its back slowly rose, and a golden spear in its hand was thrown.
That golden spear seemed to emerge from an unknown void, continuously absorbing light along its path, bringing extreme Darkness.
As it neared the "Door of Summoning," the Unshadowed Spear suddenly erupted, blooming with light so pure and incandescent, seemingly composed of pure sunlight, like a scorching midday Sun.
The pure light enveloped the hands and the Door, also covering Mahmosi and the eerie doll, melting away all evil, corruption, gloom, defilement, and undead aura.
Accompanied by a soul-shaking roar, the Blood Moon in the sky suddenly brightened, unexpectedly turning into a full Moon.
Aaron covered his forehead, which stung from excessive spiritual depletion, and stared intently at the center of the brilliant light.
The "Scepter of Disaster," its surface covered in dark patterns and its tip deep blue, almost black, along with Mahmosi's left arm, was struck flying into the distance.
