After Sharron and Maric waited for a while, a huge sailing ship slowly emerged on the distant sea.
The sailing ship drew closer, its flag gradually becoming clear. The faint crimson moonlight allowed Sharron and Maric to see ten white stars of the same size on it, encircling a pair of indifferent eyes without eyelashes.
A lady in a black classical robe had appeared at the bow of the ship at some point, her clothes covered with various symbols and magical markings, like a powerful Warlock from ancient legends.
Under the crimson moonlight, a bright light suddenly shone in front of her, and specks of brilliant starlight sprinkled down, condensing into a transparent long bridge.
The long bridge continuously extended forward, landing on the desolate Vogarde Coast.
Sharron and Maric exchanged glances, suppressing their curiosity, and stepped steadily onto the long bridge formed by starlight. After walking the last ten meters or so, they set foot on the deck of the Future.
Facing Admiral of Stars Cattleya, whose eyes were deep black with purple, Sharron, wearing a small black soft hat, showed no nervousness. She and Maric bowed:
"Thank you very much for your help."
As Sharron and Maric bowed, Cattleya's purple eyes, with her simple black hair draped over her shoulders, seemed to turn into an Abyss that could devour souls, making her inherent mysterious aura even more pronounced.
But at this moment, Cattleya was not looking at Sharron and Maric, but scanning left and right, looking around, as if trying to find a certain figure.
A moment later, she withdrew her gaze in disappointment and nodded slightly to Sharron.
Gaze after gaze from the Sailors was cast over. Sharron stood silently, while Maric showed no awkwardness at all. Instead, he looked around and spoke in a hoarse voice:
"Fewer people than I imagined."
Admiral of Stars Cattleya tilted her head and glanced at him, simply responding:
"Her Majesty the Queen mentioned in her letter that this mission is very dangerous."
"Aside from the Future, none of the pirate fleet's other ships will go. Similarly, most of the Sailors have been transferred to other ships. Only the minimum number required for sailing remains here."
Sharron silently observed her surroundings, noticing that the Future's deck, bulkheads, masts, and other areas were covered with mysterious abstract symbols, the whole seeming to overlap into a huge ritual magic.
Sharron and Maric silently followed Cattleya to the entrance of the captain's cabin and saw a man in overalls and a white shirt. He was around thirty, strongly built, with thick body hair.
He wore a round-brimmed hat with a dent in the middle, revealing a hearty smile, and extended his right hand to introduce himself:
"First Mate of the Future, Frank Lee."
Seeing that neither of them reacted much, Frank wasn't embarrassed. He just scratched his head and laughed heartily.
Cattleya opened the captain's cabin door and pointed inside:
"Your rooms are diagonally opposite. Frank will take you there. If you need anything, you can come directly here to find me."
"You can dine in the restaurant, or at any time, you can have Frank send food to your room. It mainly depends on which way you prefer."
Sharron's exquisite face, lacking in expression, withdrew her scrutinizing gaze from Frank and turned to respond: "Okay."
Frank walked in front, chattering incessantly with Sharron and Maric. Even though neither of them responded much, he remained tireless.
"Guests, would you like some baked potatoes tonight? Believe me, they taste wonderful."
Somewhat unable to bear Frank's enthusiasm, Maric's forehead twitched. He suppressed his inner emotions and said in a low voice, word by word:
"No need. We are both Zombies and don't require such food."
Frank was stunned for a moment, then seemed to realize something, his eyes suddenly lighting up as he spoke excitedly:
"Is it the Sequence 6 Zombie of the Pathway mastered by the Rose School of Thought?"
Seeing Maric nod, Frank became even more excited, leaving a phrase "Wait here for a moment" before hurriedly running off.
A moment later, Frank excitedly ran back, holding a wooden box. Inside the wooden box was a layer of unusually colored soil, with a dead fish stuck in the middle.
Without waiting to be asked, Frank looked at Maric excitedly and said:
"I remember that the Zombie has a Beyonder ability to manipulate Zombies, easily awakening and commanding corpses."
"This is a special variety I cultivated, a fish that can produce various fine wines. I originally thought I could plant it in the soil, but unfortunately, it failed."
"Can you help me turn it into a Zombie fish? I think this is a new research direction..."
Looking at the excited Frank, Sharron and Maric exchanged glances, both seeing the meaning in each other's eyes: "This is a madman!"
......
On a small island at the confluence of the Berserk Sea and the Sonia Sea, the blood moon hung high.
The figure of a middle-aged man with a Northern and Southern continents mixed-race appearance emerged. He was draped in a white robe inlaid with gold thread, his hair was light yellow and slightly curly, his eye sockets were noticeably sunken, and his face was gaunt to the bone.
In his brown eyes was an uncontrollable malice and madness. On his rather thick lips were golden nails covered with intricate patterns, sealing his entire mouth, giving him an eerie and terrifying feeling.
It was Mahmosi, an important member of the Rose School of Thought who had reached Sequence 3 Disicple of Silence, a descendant of a Pharaoh, and one of the leaders of the Highland Resistance.
With his appearance, the small island instantly fell into a deathly silence.
The creatures originally living on the island instantly had blood-red eyes, their bodies covered in cracks, and dark red blood flowed out in streams, becoming more and more numerous and obvious. In the end, tiny, hard black beetles even appeared inside.
They quickly fell, revealing a head with empty eye sockets and hanging strips of flesh, with countless black beetles drilling in and out.
All the creatures living on the island exploded, and muffled thuds sounded one after another, connecting together like a bloody symphony.
Mahmosi spread his arms, bathed in the crimson moonlight, and his lips, sealed by golden nails, also curved slightly, enjoying this beautiful symphony.
Black beetles covered the sky and earth, turning into a black stream of light that rushed straight towards the sea area on the south side of the small island.
Inside the Future's cabin, Sharron was startled awake by a feeling of dread. She suddenly opened her eyes and, in just a few seconds, rushed onto the deck.
Around Cattleya, one star after another had already appeared, dense and dazzling.
These stars cast down streaks of brilliant light, converging into a magnificent pillar of light, enveloping the surging black insect tide.
Many black beetles were dissolved by the starlight, collapsing and dissipating, but even more continued their momentum, rushing directly towards the Future.
Cattleya's deep black and purple eyes narrowed slightly, and she spoke in a low voice in ancient hermes: "Starlight Cage!"
Immediately, the brilliant starlight swirling around her flew off one after another, descending around the Future.
The starlight instantly condensed, creating a giant transparent amber that enveloped the entire ship.
