"Lady Erina!" Ikumi Mito called out.
"This… is applying sunscreen really that stimulating?" Tadokoro Megumi's face turned red.
Ryoko Sakaki rolled her eyes at her. Which eye did she use to see that as ordinary sunscreen application?
"Hoho, I saw something incredible," Alice said, wiping a bit of the sticky moisture from the beach chair with her finger, a wicked smile on her lips.

Aha's mask stared at Ren. After a long time, he burst into laughter that echoed throughout the universe. "Hahahahahahaha!"
"Hey, can you control your volume?" Ren complained, covering Tingyun's fox ears.
Aha actually stopped, turning it into a smiling laugh. "You told me to go find Nanook and punch him?"
Ren looked at him strangely. "As expected of you, Aha." He clenched his fist and threw a punch into the void.
Aha suddenly looked up at the starry sky. Boom! It was as if the entire universe was shaking. "Hahahahahahaha!" he laughed with genuine joy.
What did he see? He saw Nanook, who had once had a hole punched through his chest by Ren, get hit in the forehead by an unpredictable punch. His entire body lost balance and fell in a posture described by humans as 'face-planting'. The rising Nanook's rage spread across the cosmos along the Path of Destruction. Is there anything more joyful?
Amidst the laughter, Aha departed. He could no longer see through Ren's existence, so there was no point in staying. Anyway, he had enough material to mock Nanook for tens of thousands of years.
"I hope I didn't scare you," Ren said, releasing his hands.
Tingyun's ears twitched. She smiled gently. "No. This humble one thanks Benefactor for his protection."
"Ren?" A crisp voice rang out. It was Fu Xuan in her white silks, arriving with the Cloud Knights.
"Oh, long time no see, Fu Xuan. Or should I call you General Fu now?" He had heard from Tingyun that Jing Yuan was recuperating and she was acting general.
"You flatter me. Just call me Fu Xuan." Being teased by someone not even afraid of Aeons made her embarrassed. She signaled the Cloud Knights to return.
"Tingyun, Ren, did something happen? The entire Xianzhou heard that laughter."
Ren answered for her. "Aha wanted to find me. Since I wasn't around, he called me here through Tingyun."
"Aha… the Lord of Joy was just here in the Luofu!" Fu Xuan's eyes widened. That explained the laughter. But an Aeon descending gave her a headache.
Ren noticed. "You seem to be in distress."
She pressed a hand to her forehead, smiling wryly. "You don't know. Ever since I became acting general, handling Luofu's affairs is unexpectedly difficult."
