Chapter 498 - The Eccentric Yorozuya!

Chapter 498: The Eccentric Yorozuya! The Future of Yoshiwara!

Under Ren's witness, Yoshiwara's sealed sky was opened, and sunlight once again shone upon the dark city. The news of Hosen's death spread like wildfire. The women of Yoshiwara, in excited cheers, took up weapons and carried out a final encirclement of his subordinates.

Tsukuyo, meanwhile, rescued the imprisoned Hinowa. The true sun and the sun of faith appeared simultaneously. Unsurprisingly, Hinowa became the new leader. The first thing she did was bring freedom to Yoshiwara, allowing anyone to leave. But those who had received her grace did not leave; they wanted to rebuild.

On a tall building, "Mr. Ren, thank you. Tsukuyo has told me everything." Hinowa, dressed as a geisha, sat in a wheelchair. Her Achilles' tendons had been severed. Pushing her was her adopted son, Seita, his eyes red from crying.

Ren shrugged. "I'll gladly accept, but you should thank this guy more." He pointed his thumb at the person beside him. Gintoki, also in a wheelchair, was wrapped head to toe in bandages like a mummy.

Hinowa smiled easily. "Yes, I should thank Mr. Gintoki and everyone from the Yorozuya."

Shinpachi scratched his head. "Haha, we didn't do much."

"That's right, chew, chew. It was Ren who took down Hosen, aru," Kagura said, her mouth greasy as she ate a large skewer.

"Gin-san, shouldn't you say something?" Shinpachi asked.

"Wuwuwuwu!" Gintoki could only frantically blink his one exposed eye.

"Gin-chan, you can't be so rude, aru." Kagura struck a mature pose, but the sight of her pointing at him with a greasy skewer was comical.

"Wuwuwuwu!!!" Gintoki tried to struggle.

Tsukuyo couldn't bear it. "Is Mr. Gintoki's mouth and nose covered, making it hard to breathe?"

Gintoki seemed to see a savior. "Wuwuwuwu!!!" His bandaged head nodded rapidly.

However, Kagura merely glanced at him. "Impossible. I personally bandaged him, aru." Upon hearing this, he struggled even more violently.

"Gin-chan, quickly praise my bandaging," she grabbed his collar and shook him. As she shook, his struggles became smaller, until his head lolled to the side.

"Gin-san! Don't die!" Shinpachi cried out.

"How can he die? He must be tired. I'll wake him up, aru." Slap, slap, slap! Her slaps landed on his face. The scene became chaotic.

Hinowa and the other two twitched their lips. Ren felt this atmosphere was quite good, comical and harmonious.

In addition to her thanks, Tsukuyo also bowed. "Thank you, Mr. Ren."

"Well, I'll accept. But I also got to watch a good show."

"No, without you, we wouldn't have been able to kill Hosen." This was true. She still remembered his utterly defenseless state.

Ren nodded, then asked, "What do you plan to do from now on?"

"From now on…" Hinowa and Tsukuyo exchanged glances. Hinowa said, "Everyone in Yoshiwara should choose their lives more freely."

"Choose? Does that mean continuing to work as courtesans?"

"This…" They couldn't refute it. Tsukuyo had disfigured herself and studied under Jiraia, so she didn't need to do such work. But what about others? Even to survive, they could only do that.

Hinowa's expression was sorrowful. "Yoshiwara is a red-light district designated by this country. We have no power to change it." The essence of the city was decided by the shogunate.

"People's inherent impressions," Ren could understand. "How about developing it into a commercial district? At least the projects involving physical transactions can be removed."

This was his suggestion, but Hinowa gave a bitter, helpless smile. "That's very difficult."

"It's not difficult at all." An invisible force quickly spread throughout the world. This was about Yoshiwara's existence, and its underlying ideology was completely changed by him.

"Perhaps you can try to re-investigate the meaning of Yoshiwara. This can be considered my extra help." He had merely changed everyone's perception through reality rewriting. He was never a stingy person.

"See you next time. I hope you can create a brand new Yoshiwara." With that, his figure transformed into light and dissipated.

"…" They dared not speculate about the powerful Ren, but his words were kept firmly in their hearts.

Hinowa frowned. "Tsukuyo, lead the Hyakka to immediately investigate the current situation."

"Yes!"
