Vance didn't budge from his spot and stood like a stone at the same time, staring endlessly at Kyoko's eyes.
Dermis lightly hit the back of Vance's head. However, he remained still.
Dermis smirked evilly and brought his strength to his hand before hitting the back of Vance's head again. This time, the blow was quite hard.

His revenge was taken. Vance head now was tilted at the front. It was in a bowing position towards Kyoko. Even so, he didn't come back to his senses yet.
Dermis happily grinned and was about to hit that spot again with more force since it felt so refreshing. Unfortunately, Vance grabbed his hand before he could achieve that.
He finally came back to his senses.
The first thing he did after coming back was drag Dermis to the side. Dermis shut his eyes tightly and expected a blow to come towards him, but it never came.
He slowly opened his eyes and took a glance at the out of breath Vance. He held his cloak tightly and breathed out heavily. He was sweating and was in a daze. His face was red as a tomato, and his hands were still trembling. He gulped a large amount of salvia from time to time.

"Ummm.....you okay?"
Unexpectedly! Vance held Dermis's collar all of a sudden and desperately spoke out.
"F-f-fix me a date with her! Please! I will give you anything!!"
Dermis stared at him dumfoundedly. He was flabbergasted.
Nonetheless, he let out a chuckle in the next moment.
"Oi! Green poo- no, I mean Dermis. This isn't the time to laugh. Just fix me a date with her, and I'll do anything for you!!"
"Hahahhahha! Anything you say?" He looked at him slyly.
"YES, YES! Anything!"
Dermis pondored for a minute and gave his reply.
"Okay then, I'll help you. Anyhow, keep your promise. "
"Okay! Got it, Boss!"
Dermis was already enjoying the situation.
"First, we need to go to the closet friend of Kyoko."
"??"
Dermis and Vance bid their goodbyes to Kyoko and Darla. Vance still didn't manage to talk to his dream girl. Nevertheless, he sneaked a last glance at her before leaving.
Dermis, who was watching him in amusement, grinned harder than ever. The thoughts of training had already sailed out of his mind. Since the current situation was more entertaining.

"Hehe, I made his eyes bigger again,"
"It's still pretty," Ororon said cutely.
We both were lying on the floor and colouring together. Ororon was more comfortable in speaking. Although not with the others yet, he still spoke with me.
All of a sudden, the door of the inn opened. And walked in two tall men. Dermis and ??
"Oh! Are you back so soon?"
"Yes, some things came up,"
I got up and greeted them.
"Who might you be?"
"I'm Vance, his teacher,"
"Aa! It's great to meet you. I'm Aniel" I shook his hand.
"Let me get straight to the point Anial, this dude needs your help,"
"My help?"
"Yes.....you see....."
Dermis explained to me the situation, and swiftly, I was concerned.
"I'm fine with helping you, but I don't even know if you're a good fit for her. You see, she is my good friend. I can't let a nobody meet her!" I pronounced sternly.
"Yeah....how can I prove it you?" He stated desperately.
I observed him head to toe and frowned whilst asking him.
"Are you a human?"
"No, I'm a demi,"
"You sure don't look like one."
Vance sighed heavily, and he started transforming. Before his transformation finished, my jaw reached the floor.
"Ackkkk, what's wrong with you, brat!!"
Ororon bit his leg from the bottom.
It's seems it has become his impulse whenever he saw a demon. I can remember clearly that day. We have to do something about that habit sooner or later.
Dermis laughed out hysterically, to the point where he couldn't catch his breath.
"Say something green poo!!"
"Ha ah ha ha,.....ufff relax you two, he is just a goat"
"A goat?"
Me and Ororon blankly stared at him for a moment.
"Yes, you heard him. Now let go of my feet, brat!"
Ororon let go of his feet, but before that, he chewed on it a little more. Perhaps he was cranky because Vance called him a brat.
"Eshhh!" Vance looked completely full of rage right now. Nonetheless, I again asked him a question.
"Should I pity you or laugh at you?"
With my remark, Dermis laughed even more than before. I could see his tears coming out due to the heavy laughing.
"What the hell is with you two?! Are you two peas in a pod?!" Vance cried out.
Vance looked completely defeated right now. I wonder what caused that.

"So your test is that you impress that guy. If you can make him like you, then you pass, " I stated, at the same time pointing at our beloved red dragon.
Tremious was poking his nose since he was bored to death. He has nothing to do here. I came towards him and chanted out happily.
"Tremious~, your source of entertainment is here~"
With my remark, Tremious jumped from his spot like a kid and excitedly searched for his 'entertainment'.
"E-enthrrtainment??" Vance uttered in a confused manner.
I grimmed at him.

Throughout the past four days, Vance worked like a slave for Tremious.
"Our mighty red dragon! Would you like a five class dish that has been prepared by the Yoplis kingdom's best chefs?"
" 'smirk' sure, bring it peasant."
Tremious said with a smug face.
"Sir mighty dragon!"
"Sir mighty dragon!"
"Sir mighty dragon!"
"Yes yes sure" Tremious smug face grew even more. He enjoyed being buttered.
I swear I could see his nose grow longer with every praise he got from Vance. Vance was surprisingly doing so well. Tremious probably wanted him as his pet by now.
"Sir, red mighty dragon! I offer you the finest forms of performance. Hope you will enjoy it. "
Tremious smirked happily and enjoyed his drink whilst watching the performance of many mages arranged by Vance. They performed a magical show that only the royals were allowed to enjoy. Such a performance comes with a great fortune. He's probably rich. That ticks off a mark.
"He really is going all out,"
"Is he that desperate Dermis?"
"I wonder what made him fall for her so badly,"
"Hey! Are you underestimating Kyoko's beauty now?"
"No- I meant like -" he was flustered enough to not reply properly.
"Bored...." Ororon uttered softly, and he held my hand.
"Hehe, this is boring for you, isn't it? Dermis, you seem so free. Take care of him, will you"
"Umm, okay, are you busy yourself?"
"Yes, it's almost time for my training,"
"Ah! Yeah, who is your teacher, by the way? "
"It's a giant,"
"?????" Dermis blinked a few times and might've thought he heard wrong. Even so, he heard me well enough.

A few hours prior to Vance meeting Kyoko.
I was on my way to meet my new teacher alone. Apparently, she lived at the border of the Yoplos kingdom. Karter had already spoken to her about me, and I was excited to meet her.
Since I heard that she was a brave warrior.
To my surprise, the sight in front of me right now made my legs tremble.
"Ha ha, I'm doomed," my soul left my body.
A Giant, not exactly the giant 'giant'. They were an ancient species that lived alongside creatures like rodrigals. Although not many, unlike rodrigals, this species didn't get extinct. Perhaps it was because of their size. They lived a long life of 50,000 years as well.
The woman in front of me wasn't too large, unlike the Giants that I learned about from ancient book remains. She was smaller than most Giants but was still humongous.
Her muscular body could definitely break through a mountain and slice a watermelon open with a light touch of a finger. Her brown hair was tied in a ponytail, and she grinned all the time.
"You must be my new student,"
My neck was about to fall off because of me tilting my head too much to take a glimpse at her face. She was at least 300 centimetres tall.
"You may look weak, but how lucky you are. I'm not a woman who judges a book by it's cover"
"Ha ha, thank you ma'am" I uttered as politely as I could.
"Hahahah, no need to be so formal. However, if you dare defy me, I might rip out your skull."
She said it while laughing, but I could still sense some truth to her words. My life was on the point of flashing before my eyes.
'slap' I slapped my cheeks and came back to reality. This isn't the time for me to be scared. I was the one who fought with dragons and demons, I shouldn't be afraid of some Giant. Even so...the [Starlight's Tomb] on my back trembled in my stead.
Life was gonna get harder than ever.
