My hand trembled at the sight of his face, I was betrayed in the most life threatening way possible. Tremious started to speak out of nowhere.
"That dragon was the easiest target for now. You all were lucky that the yellow dragon just returned after mating. His sum of mana had decreased due to that. I did my part Dermis."
"You were in on this?!"
"Yes, and that demi too"
I looked at Kyoko in disbelief, now that he mentioned it. Kyoko seemed more prepared than anyone else and also took part in the fight without any questions.
I was the only one uninformed.
I sighed and grabbed the bag lying next to me and started walking away. My head was in a lot of strain and dilemma. Although one thing was clear to me, I had no other business with this party or this journey.
"Wait! Anal, let me explain!'
Dermis followed me desperately while I made sure to never look back.

It was my fault, I'm the reason for it.
I talked with Tremious before going to the yellow dragon and told him my plan. However, he opposed my plan saying that it would never work.
"A mere fillet gem is nothing to a dragon, us dragons have more wealth than you could ever imagine."
"Then!!"
"Give it up, there are plenty of other demis in this world. Not to mention, that black haired elf would never help you with this."
But there was something in me that screamed that I took Kyoko as a companion. It was the same for the others as well. My actions were very oblivious and I was tankful to Anal for putting up with me. I didn't want to lose anyone.
"Is there a chance we could fight it"
Tremiou's eyes widened by my words.
"Don't be a fool, you can never defeat a dragon in a million years."
"We don't need to fight it properly, I just need an opening"
Tremious sighed once again and frowned while looking at me.
"You are one heck of an elf"
My eyes showed hope and by the way, Tremious still continued talking.
"There is a dragon.....he is weak right now. He would be returning right after mating, you all might have a chance."
I nodded at him with a serious face.
"Then again, what about that elf? You think she would just agree with you and put her life on the line just because you asked for it?"
"I won't tell her."
"Ah....so you're gonna deceive her."
"I don't have a choice now"
After my conversation with Tremious, I pulled Kyoko aside and explained the plan. She was hesitant at first but agreed after I told her a few words.
"You don't have to worry, I can promise that nobody would die"

"Please let me explain Anal!"
"What do you wanna explain?!!" I snapped at him while he looked guilty.
"That you almost killed us with your plan and lied,now you expect me to still go on your journey?!?"
I looked at Tremuous and Kyoko.
"And you two! How can you be so calm about this and go with his plans. All this time, he did nothing to prove himself to you? How are you both still fine with setting out on this journey?"
Tremious pondered for a minute and took some steps in front of me.
"I'm not going on this journey because of him. I betrayed the red dragon clan and would be killed at the moment I will take
a step there.....I'm going on this journey to hide myself."
Kyoko also stepped forward and said.
"I already made a promise, if he bought me a yellow dragon scale I would join."
"Just stay with us for a while."
Dermis said while looking emotional.
"Let see how this goes black elf"
"It's better than being alone again..."
Both Tremious and Kyoko finished talking. However, their words reminded me something important.
I set out on this journey to find a partner who was a long liver like me, so that I won't have to be alone again.... I seemed to have forgotten that I would be alone again if I left. It seems that all of them knew this feeling. We all were long livers, we were alone.
I looked down and couldn't open my mouth to reply to them. There was a thing in my heart that felt warm, whenever I saw them. They wouldn't leave me alone. They would be still alive even after so many millennials like me.
Dermis came forward and reached out his hand towards me.
"Let us be companions...Anal"
He smiled softly at me.
I took his hand and replied while blabbering out.
"I still won't forgive you for this"
Dermis smiled brightly again and shook my hand. We all had become a party full of long livers.
