Chapter 7 - Kelly

[Host has dominated an enemy in battle]

[Host is now entitled to a 25% bonus attribute points to every attribute point absorbed by the subject]

[DOMINATOR Lv1| Passive]

At level 1, the user is entitled to 25% of every attribute point absorbed by a dominated enemy or subject.

Felix was stunned for a good minute as he read and re-read the system notifications that flashed before his eyes as soon as he missed the Sage's head by a few inches that left her in a state of shock.

He now truly understood the weight of an SSRank class system and the difference it made, as he simply found all his skills so far overpowered and broken for a level 1.

What was he now to expect when he got them to level 10?

"That's enough!" A deep voice bellowed.

Felix tilted his head just enough to see the approaching figure of another Sage he recognized from the banquet. He then let go of the hilt of the sword, which instantly disintegrated into ash and was carried away by the wind. Then he calmly stood on his feet and turned to walk away, when his vision suddenly slurred and his feet turned wobbly, and before he could process what was happening to him, his mind blacked out and he fell over Jessica's body.

The approaching Sage paused in his steps as he saw Felix pass out. The Candidates who had gathered around the training field murmured amongst them indistinctly as speculations flew on what had prompted the disastrous spar. Every other Sage who had stepped out but decided to remain put the whole time all had varying expressions, ranging from indifference, to surprise, to amusement.

While Jessica, who had Felix over her, remained still as she watched the falling raindrops with a complicated expression on her face, whilst trying to catch her breath.

The first thing that greeted Felix upon waking up to the not-so-familiar view of his dorm ceiling was the unforgiving bite of hunger in his stomach.

"Uhh…"

He felt drained like he hadn't eaten anything in days. How long has it been since he passed out?

He pushed his feet off the bed and sat there for a moment staring at a random spot as he processed all that had happened to him since he arrived in Vastoria.

It felt like he'd spent a while in this world, whilst all that had happened, from the acquisition of the class systems to the disastrous spar with Jessica, all transpired in a day.

He still found it crazy that he was now a woman, pulling the collar of his shirt to take a peek at those perky boobs. Then he reached for it with his hand through the gap to feel its legitimacy, when he locked eyes with a third party in the room who turned out to be his roommate.

"…"

Now, it looked like Felix just woke up after passing out for who knows how long and the first thing he thought to do was to check on and press his own boobs.

They both stared at themselves for a good minute in awkward silence, before they recovered and quickly tried to clear themselves:

"I—It's not what you think,"

"I—I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare,"

They said in sync. Then silence.

"…"

"Gosh, I'm so hungry," Felix quickly spoke as he stood up and went to grab his toiletries.

"Where was I…?" At the same time, the red-headed, pretty-faced girl with a tiny but significant mole beneath her chin, quickly averted her eyes back to the paperback book she was reading, frantically turning the pages.

"I'm Felix, by the way," Felix spoke, drying his hair with a towel after just stepping out of the bathroom.

His roommate was still in her bed reading the same book from earlier. She was silent for a moment, too engrossed in whatever it was she was reading to notice Felix was talking to her, before her eyes shot up in surprise, "W—What? Were you talking to me?"

"Said my name's Felix."

"Oh. Sorry. My name's Kelly. Nice to meet ya," she beamed a smile.

"Kelly," Felix iterated, "That's a sweet, sweet name—" he cut himself short, pressing his lips together as his masculine urge to compliment the beauty kicked in.

"Thanks," Kelly blushed in understanding.

"I hope my presence doesn't make you too uncomfortable?" Felix asked, hinting at his former identity as a guy.

"Not at all," she assured. "I actually think you're cool."

"And I think you're pretty—uhhm, are you hungry?" Felix was cussing inside. The last thing he wanted was for her to start feeling uncomfortable with him around.

Kelly didn't seem to mind though, hiding a blush as she went for a wristwatch sitting at her bed table. "It's almost lunchtime. Let's go grab a bite then."

Felix nodded in relief. When he remembered to ask, "How long have I been out for?"

"Since last night. You missed breakfast." Kelly replied as she got off her bed. "They gave us a free day today, to rest and get acquainted with the place. Training starts tomorrow." She added.

"And did they mention exactly how the training would work?"

"It'll be rotational. The selected Sages would take us on for a few days on different 'extreme' training routines. You don't get assigned to your first mission till you've passed all." Kelly carefully explained.

Felix also learnt from her that he wasn't going to be making any friends aside from Kelly, probably because she was his roomie, and that rumors were spreading that some Sages weren't happy about the turnout of his spar with Jessica, so they might be targeting him during the training period, and no one wanted to be caught up with that.

He also noticed the stares he and Kelly were getting from the other candidates, and knew for one that if he hadn't defeated a Sage, then he'd be bound to be a victim of bullying by the other candidates.

They wouldn't dare now, but their aggression was likely to transfer to Kelly, who was not only his roomie, but openly interacting with him.

Felix looked to the side to observe Kelly, who didn't seem to mind the stares, or was it because she knew she was already doomed by being his roommate? Felix didn't care to know. But the one thing he did know and swore within himself at that moment was that if anyone ever tried to intimidate Kelly or as much as lay a single finger on her because of him, regardless of their system rank, he was going to kill them.
