"No, stay here" Gardner halts Kousei attempt as he smashes the Chakram against the katana's blade.
"Why?! What's the hell are you saying? If we're all together, we could obviously take him on—yet!! You're telling me to stay back?" Kousei rebels as Gardner separates half of the katana, laying Ivy's body on the floor—its half end still stuck on her.
"I'm disappointed in you, Kousei..." he calmly says, stunning Kousei who glared, shocked by his words as he continued.
"This is the teams first do or die mission... and, you've done everything the wrong way today!" He added, locking eyes with Kousei "It's unlike you!"
Kousei pauses as he glances to Gardner who calmly accessed Ivy as sweat rolled down his face.
"[I'm not sure what to do, but I can't move her too much]" he thought, glancing to Tsuyu who was in critical condition as well. "[Damn it! This is a disaster]"
Struggling between rage and rationality as his expression changed, he forces his words out which stuck to his throat.
"A-Are you... are you perhaps trying to put the blame on me for today?" Kousei snapped, yanking his tie.
"Even though you're the one who decided we come here? even though you're the one who abandoned us on the way here, just so you could fight that man" he added.
"If we had left Dorcas to come for us... they would've sandwiched us, the situation would be worse so I trusted—"
"I didn't ask for this type of trust, Gardner!" Kousei cuts in, walking to him as he extends his hands clutched onto his tie
"you're about to tell me to remain here, while you join Moriah right? Even though you only knew him today, it's the second time already" he queries as Gardner snatches the tie "[thank you]" walking towards Tsuyu.
"This isn't the time for such discussions—"
"Then, you stay here!..." Kousei says, as Gardner wraps the tie around her head "...tend to them, protect them, you're the leader aren't you?"
Kousei added walking away from him, into the broken wall "I'll assist him instead..."
"I see..." he says, carrying Tsuyu.
