Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Lexi's POV

"Ugh."

I cringed at the sound of the moaning from my phone. Of course, it's Merida. Again. That girl's practically a full-time scandal. Different guys, different places. She can't even keep it classy.

And yes—I've got plenty of videos to prove it. Like that time she got caught in the girls' comfort room.

How did I know? Easy. I was there.

It started on a random Thursday.

"Guys, excuse me. Comfort room," I said, standing up from our table.

"Want me to come with you?" Zeke called out, smirking. I rolled my eyes. Inside joke, nothing serious.

The CR was empty when I got there. I walked into a cubicle, locked it, and handled my business.

Then—bang. The CR door swung open, echoing loudly, followed by the click of the lock.

"Ugh…" A girl moaned outside the cubicle. The voice was familiar.

"Shhh. Someone might hear us," a boy whispered. Another familiar voice. 10th grader. Same Glee Club as me.

"How can I stay quiet when you're this—ugh…"

I eased my cubicle door open just enough to peek.

And there she was. Merida. With some 10th grader. In the girls' CR.

That bitch. Couldn't even bother to be discreet.

My mind immediately shifted gears—blackmail. Leverage. Perfect.

I slipped my phone out, hit record, and let it run for a solid fifteen minutes. When Merida finally started wiping herself down, I shoved my cubicle door open—loud enough to make them both freeze.

I smirked at Merida, walked out, and kept my phone safely in my pocket.

Who's the "porn star" now?

And now? I'm watching another clip of Merida. Class 12-B locker room this time. New day, new guy.

"This bitch is really cheap," I muttered, handing my phone to Missy, who sat across from me. We both hated Merida—at least we agreed on that.

Before Missy could respond, Mia's voice cut through the air.

"Hey, bitches! Got something spicy!"

Every student inside the school Starbucks turned their heads. Yes, we have a Starbucks on campus—because of course we do. Most students can't afford it, but for us? It's basically the cafeteria.

Mia strutted toward our table, phone in hand, Skylar trailing behind her like always. Rumor says they're hooking up. Probably true.

"Look at what I found!" She dropped her phone on the table and sat beside Hiro. Skylar slid in next to her.

"Oops. Wrong phone." She snatched it back and glanced at Skylar.

"Sky. Phone. Now."

Skylar smirked, unlocked his phone, tapped a few things, and handed it over.

"Here. Watch."

I took the phone, expecting another Merida scandal. Instead, the screen was blank.

"Uh… what's so special about this?" I raised a brow.

"Wait for it." Skylar typed in a code, then passed it back.

The video played.

Mariah. On her back. Shawn on top of her. Her face was a mix of moans and tears. Couldn't tell if it was pain or disgust—or just Shawn being Shawn.

"Damn, Shawn," I muttered. "Never gets old, huh?"

The video only lasted a few minutes, but that's all it takes to ruin someone. Mariah, specifically. Not that I planned to ruin her—at least not yet. I just like having leverage. Our group collects dirt, not necessarily to use it, but because being untouchable feels good.

People call me a witch. Fine. I don't do fake smiles like Merida. If I don't like you, you'll know it. I don't pretend.

"You've got a whole collection, Lexi," Zeke teased, shaking his head.

"Well, thanks to you guys," I said, meeting each of their eyes. Without my classmates and their endless scandals, my archive wouldn't exist.

"Aren't you scared, though? Like, what if the cops find out?" Missy asked, her voice dropping.

I laughed. "The cops? Please. They should be scared of me. If they knew what I had on them, they'd think twice."

After Starbucks, we packed up and headed home. Most of our teachers were absent today—no explanation, no warning. Just Ms. Samonte, who never cancels.

As I walked out, I glanced back at Mia, Skylar, and Missy laughing together. The video still fresh in my mind.

Mariah.

She's got money. Brains. Looks. Almost perfect. So why does she let people walk all over her? Why is she everyone's scapegoat?

I don't hate her. I don't like her either.

But something tells me… this won't end well.
