Chapter 109 - Chapter 107: Wade must have a reason for doing this!

"Emotions...will...these two complement each other and determine the strength of a spell.

However, the wizard's own magical strength is also crucial, as it is the foundation of all enhancements..."

However, Levander wasn't currently researching how to enhance the wizard's own magical strength.

He needed to complete his research on the residue before the senior sister self-destructed.

Only then could he rescue her.

From a long-term perspective, rescuing the senior sister would be a tremendous aid to his future development and his ambition to become the "Dark Lord."

Levander took out his wand and gently tapped the two test subjects.

He extracted two rich "residues."

Because these "residues" had once been within the test subjects, they still contained the subjects' own emotional power.

Therefore, the amount of these two "residues" after extraction was even greater than when they were implanted.

Li Wei De considered this, then completely drained the ancient magical power from the two "residues."

The moment the ancient magic vanished, the two "residues" transformed into black smoke, gradually dissipating into the air.

It was like... a plastic bag filled with black smoke... once the "plastic bag" of ancient magic was removed, the smoke naturally had nowhere to hide and eventually dissipated completely...

After so many days of experimentation, Li Wei De had largely grasped the principles of the "residues."

Besides the previously mentioned fact that negative emotions enhanced the spell's power,

Li Wei De also had an explanation for why they affected the "host."

Just like black magic, which frequently requires the use of extreme negative emotions, excessive use can cause a drastic change in the user's personality.

These "residues," at their core, were still negative emotions!

Therefore, they would have similar side effects!

Any negative emotion, once placed within a person's body, would naturally have a subtle influence on them!

After absorbing too much, the "host" would lose most of their interest in other things.

His only interest was collecting "residues" and experiencing the thrill of rapidly increasing power from absorbing them.

Even after absorbing so much "residue" laden with negative emotions, the senior sister remained lucid.

This was entirely due to the cloak her best friend had given her, acting as another "plastic bag,"absorbing and storing most of the "residues" brimming with negativity.

Consequently, the senior sister's negative influence was less severe.

However, while the impact was lessened, it was still present.

The senior sister's current disregard for life was undoubtedly due to the influence of the "residues."

Therefore, if he rashly absorbed the "residues" within her body, he would most likely become uncontrollable and addicted to them, becoming another senior sister...

The question then arose: how could he absorb all the "residues" without being affected himself?

"Residues... cloak... plastic bag... rope... is there a way to control this power, using it only when needed?"

Levid sat in his chair, his eyes closed, pondering quietly.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes and raised his wand.

The next second, a ball of silver-gray ancient magic condensed on the wand.

This was ancient magic in its purest form, not just "residue."

Levitra used all his might to transfigure this ancient magic!

Levitra already possessed the ability to alter the shape of ancient magic at will, but now, he deliberately employed Transfiguration on top of his natural abilities.

As a result, the ancient magic's transformation was swift and precise!

Soon, Levitra transformed the ancient magic into a thin, silver-gray sheet.

Then, while maintaining the ancient magic's shape, Levitra extracted a portion of the "residue" from the two test subjects.

He then placed this residue onto the ancient magic membrane, wrapping it up like a dumpling...

"This should be able to block out the effects of negative emotions..."

However, Levitra hadn't finished his words.

"Puff..."

Like a balloon being popped, the ancient magic membrane pierced through, and the next second, the "residue" contained within rapidly gushed out, rapidly contaminating the membrane!

Soon, the "big dumpling" that Li Weide had specially wrapped turned into a brand new "residue"...

"It's really not that simple.

Just wrapping this little bit of 'residue' has already consumed so much of my energy... Senior sister has so much more on her..." Li Weide sighed.

"How about asking Senior sister tonight about the principle behind her cloak...

Wrapping it won't work...

Then I wonder if it can be manipulated like a sponge absorbing water..."

Li Weide rubbed his swollen head and checked his pocket watch.

It was already dinner time.

Since he had no classes this afternoon, he spent the entire afternoon in the lab, a full five hours...

After packing up, Li Weide Apparated from the Wizard Tower to the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

Then he quietly returned to Hogwarts Castle.

At the Slytherin table, Tom saw Levid, who had appeared beside him out of nowhere.

He remained unfazed, his hands barely shaking as he peeled an egg for Nagini.

In truth, it had been this way for days; he'd gotten used to it.

After the Abraxas incident, Tom had learned to trust Levid.

Levid must have his reasons, Tom thought.

Levid seemed a little absent-minded at the table tonight.

Tom noticed he picked up a meat pie and used Transfiguration to transform it into a pancake.

While Tom was still puzzled, Levid began spreading mashed potatoes on the pancake and then wrapping it into a dumpling shape.

Tom's eyebrows raised involuntarily.

Transfiguration could be performed while eating?

Was this his unique way of practicing?

But I'd never seen him do it like this before...

Just as Tom was about to imitate him,

Annie leaned over.

Tom frowned slightly.

Ever since Levid had become so erratic, Annie had been doing this, pretending to chat casually, but her words were always tentative.

It was obvious that this was Grindelwald's order.

He wanted to find out what Levid was doing!

Whatever Levid was doing, it must be related to their future!

In other words, Grindelwald must not know!

Thinking of this, Tom became alert.

And before Anne could even begin to speak, he interrupted her and started chatting her up.

Because of Tom's initiation, Anne couldn't bring herself to steer the conversation towards Levid...

This made her increasingly impatient.

Over half a month had passed, and she still hadn't been able to find out what Levid was up to!

Although Grindelwald didn't say anything, she could clearly sense that her aunt seemed somewhat displeased with her...

Seeing Tom still standing between her and Levid, chatting away, Anne finally lost control.

She stepped past Tom and asked bluntly, "Levid, what have you been up to lately?

Aside from classes, we haven't seen much of you lately."

Tom frowned and tried to say something, but Levid patted him on the shoulder.

Something in Tom's mind struck him, and he tacitly shut up.

"I've been searching for something lately," Levid said vaguely.

Anne, agitated, heard this.

"What? We can help you.

We're all friends, aren't we?"

Levid paused, as if considering whether to speak.

Anne, seeing this, quickly replied, "We're all members of a mutual aid society.

We're supposed to help each other."

"You're right, Annie."

Levid glanced at the others, realizing no one was paying attention.

Then, quietly, he said, "Originally, I wasn't going to say it this soon, but... you and Tom are my best friends, so...

I can tell you, but you have to promise me you won't let anyone know!"

"What's so mysterious?"

Anne concealed her excitement.

She'd been beating around the bush for the better part of a month, only to find out today that it would actually work.

If she'd known, she wouldn't have wasted so much time!

"I found some manuscripts in the Restricted Section... They say there's a magical power hidden in the Forbidden Forest, and even at Hogwarts, that can make wizards even stronger!"

Levid said mysteriously.

Tom blinked, and he understood instantly.

Levid was going to pass on information to Grindelwald through Anne!

But...wasn't Levid planning to secretly look for that kind of magical power?

Why would he tell Nurmengard through Anne at this time?

However, as I said before, Tom knew that Levid must have his reasons for doing so, so he also pretended to be curious with a cooperative look.

"What manuscript is it?"

Anne asked quickly.

At this moment, her heart was very uneasy.

Regarding that kind of power, only the goblins should have known about it at the beginning!

Later, the goblins told Grindelwald...

The notebook she had obtained before should also be related to this power, but it has been sent back to Nurmengard.

But how did Levid know about the existence of this power?

"That's a manuscript left by someone named Isidora Morgana, who seems to have been a professor at Hogwarts.

I've been searching for this power recently according to the manuscript she left behind... and now I've got some clues!"

Anne was shocked when she heard that.

They, the people from Nurmengard and the goblins, had almost turned the Forbidden Forest upside down, but they still couldn't find that power.

Now Levid says there's some clues? !

"Those manuscripts... can I take a look?"

Anne said hurriedly.

Levid opened his pocket, revealing a stack of yellowed papers.

"Let's talk after dinner!"

Dear book friends, Happy New Year!

I've been thinking recently about whether I should set up a group to chat with you...
