Chapter 59 - The Rainbow Mist

"The colorful fog I saw before... it's back," Nami said, her voice filled with a new wave of panic as everyone on the island looked out at the sea. At some point, the same colorful mist had appeared, and it was slowly drifting towards them. Though it was still far from Ruluka Island, the memory of the terrifying stories they had heard was enough to send a wave of fear through the crowd. Nami herself was surprised. When they had first arrived, the mist had come and gone so quickly.

"Look, the Merry is going into the mist!" Chopper, with his sharp eyes, shouted.

"What?!" Nami screamed, and the three of them rushed to the port where the Going Merry was docked. They found Zoro fast asleep, completely unaware that the ship was being driven away by an old man with goggles and a strange radar-like device on his back. Nami gritted her teeth, cursing Zoro's name. She was about to give chase, but then she saw Luffy, Sanji, Usopp, and Robin suddenly board the ship and stop.

"Luffy, what are they doing? Are they going to go into that mist?" Chopper asked.

"It looks like it," Moonlight said, nodding. With Luffy's personality and Robin's curiosity, after hearing all the rumors about the colorful mist, how could they resist the temptation to see it for themselves?

"No, Mayor Wetton is here!"

"Everyone, run! Be careful not to get caught!"

"Run! Run away!" At that moment, the people in the harbor suddenly broke out in a panic, and in the blink of an eye, they had all fled, leaving only Moonlight, Nami, and Chopper. A group of guards came quickly, carrying a huge sedan chair. The defeated Henzo was in it, and beside him was a middle-aged man with a red, handlebar-shaped mustache. The two looked alike; they seemed to be father and son.

"Father, that's them!" Henzo immediately pointed to the three of them and shouted. "Not only did they not pay the port entry tax, but they also attacked me! Especially the swordsman! He cut through my lightning with a single sword! He's very powerful!"

"So it's you," the middle-aged man said, looking at the three of them with a cold expression. "Resisting the will of Mayor Wetton and evading taxes?" The surrounding guards surrounded them, their guns raised, ready to shoot at any moment. "I am the son of Mayor Wetton, the captain of the collection team, Philip. You have violated the regulations set by Mayor Wetton, and now I am going to arrest you." Philip announced loudly, as if they had committed an unforgivable sin. The three of them would be locked in the Rainbow Tower, where they would work to death to atone.

"Moonlight, what do we do? There are so many of them," Chopper asked, a hint of fear in his voice.

"Moonlight!" Nami was also a little flustered. After all, there were too many of them, and they all had guns.

"Get lost," Moonlight said, and a wave of blue, majestic energy swept out from him. All the surrounding guards fell to the ground, unconscious. Henzo suddenly sat on the ground, shaking and sweating profusely, as if he had been greatly threatened. Philip also had cold sweat on his face, feeling as if he had just had a nightmare. Though he could barely keep standing, he had lost his combat effectiveness.

But in the sedan chair, an elderly man with the same red, handlebar-shaped mustache jumped out, his movements surprisingly agile. He immediately put on a suit of machine armor and shouted at the three of them, "What did you do to them? I am Wetton, the mayor of Ruluka Island. You dare to make trouble on my island? I'll make you regret it." He was the only one who could still maintain his combat effectiveness. After all, he had once been a fierce pirate; he wouldn't be so easily frightened. And now, with his armor on, his confidence was even stronger.

"A generation of ants... you're really noisy," Moonlight said, and with a sweep of his sword, Wetton's machine armor was cut in two, and he was sent flying, vomiting blood. He fell to the ground, pointing at Moonlight, his body shaking.

Seeing this, the surrounding villagers were shocked, and then they all became excited. "Mayor Wetton was defeated!"

"Great! That villain has finally been defeated! We no longer have to pay those ridiculous taxes!"

"Great! Great!" The whole island suddenly burst into cheers.

"It's a pity," Nami said, shrugging as she looked at the fallen Wetton. "You shouldn't have provoked our vice-captain. Now you've got a hard time ahead of you."

"They really did pick the wrong person," Chopper said, nodding. "They should have picked a softer target first."

"Wow, Chopper, you can actually speak in idioms," Nami said, suddenly surprised.

Hearing this, Chopper began to float, twisting his body shyly. "Even if you praise me so much, I won't be happy. It was all Robin."

"This colorful mist... I'm afraid it's not so simple," Moonlight said, looking at the mist with a solemn expression. In his eyes, Wetton and his men were nothing but ants, but this colorful mist... it was very likely to involve the mystery of space and time. Robin had said that it was the tomb of ships, and that all the ships that had gone in to explore in history had never returned. He was afraid that this was true and not just a legend.

"What? Then Luffy and the others will never get out?" Chopper exclaimed.

"Moonlight, what should we do?" Nami finally panicked. Was she going to be separated from everyone like this?

"Three adults, don't worry," one of the villagers said, coming up to them. "Henzo has studied this thing for a lifetime. He has thought of a way to crack it, but he has never encountered this colorful mist."

"Henzo?" Moonlight's heart moved, while Nami and Chopper were confused. The villagers quickly explained, and then someone immediately began to dismantle the Rainbow Tower. This was Henzo's lifelong invention, dedicated to cracking the colorful mist, able to ignore the distorted space and time within the mist. The moment the huge tower fell, it suddenly stretched out, forming a bridge that led straight into the mist. It was like a road through the colorful fog. Henzo was indeed a genius scientist. The Rainbow Tower had exhausted the entire island's manpower, material, and financial resources, but it was indeed worth the money.

Moonlight was about to go in, but he saw a small boat with a person on it coming out of the mist. He came to the shore with a ship full of jewels, and when he saw Moonlight, he was puzzled for a moment, and then he immediately saw Wetton tied up by the crowd, and he couldn't help but be shocked. "Captain Wetton! This is Ian, our special attack captain of the Wetton Pirates! What's wrong with you? Is this kid doing it?" He then drew his knife and slashed towards Moonlight.

However, before he could cut him, Chopper turned into his strong form and rubbed him on the ground. Afterwards, everyone tied him up, and the boat full of jewels he was carrying came into view.

"That legend is actually true?" everyone was surprised. Regarding the colorful mist, a legend had been circulating on this sea. It was said that this was the back garden of the gods, the entrance to the legendary city of El Dorado, where there were countless gold and treasures. But it was also called the "Tomb of Ships with No Return." For hundreds of years, all the ships that had gone in had not returned. Though the treasure was tempting, it was useless if you didn't have your life.

But now... everyone looked at the Rainbow Tower that they had spent many years building, a tower they had once hated, but now looked upon with a new kindness. "We have worked hard for so many years... has it all been for this?"

"Gold, jewelry... how can we easily give up?"

"Anyway, there is the thing made by Henzo, so we won't be in danger. Didn't Ian come back from it?"

"Yes, just take it as our compensation for all these years," everyone became excited, and then, under the speechless gaze of Moonlight and Chopper, they all went up to the Rainbow Tower and ran madly into the colorful mist. The treasure was touching people's hearts. And Nami... she had disappeared without a trace at some point. At the same time, on the sea, a clipper sailed away violently through the wind and waves. It was Nami. She was leading the way, one step ahead. She wanted the gold inside, and she was going to swallow it all.

"Moonlight, shall we go too?" Chopper couldn't help but ask.

"No," Moonlight said, waving his hand. "This colorful mist is full of unknowns. It can distort time and space. We'll stay here and see what happens." For some reason, there was always a sense of anxiety in his heart. Since this colorful mist was called the "ship's tomb," he was afraid it wasn't that simple.

Sure enough, at that moment, in the colorful mist, something happened, and there was an earth-shattering explosion. The sea around the mist violently surged. The Rainbow Tower was shattered in an instant, and the colorful mist suddenly disappeared, but the next moment, it unexpectedly appeared again from the sky above the island. The Going Merry also descended from the sky and flew towards everyone.

On the Merry, Luffy was full of excitement and screamed frantically, Zoro looked depressed, Usopp clapped his hands in excitement, Robin smiled, looking at Moonlight from afar, and Sanji was smoking a cigarette, his curly eyebrows fluttering in the wind.

"The Merry fell from the sky?" Seeing this scene, Chopper couldn't help but open his mouth, full of shock.

"Not good," Moonlight's complexion changed drastically. Looking at the trajectory of the Merry's fall, he was afraid that it was heading for the cliffs around the port. At this speed, if it fell, it would be broken.

"Aaaah! We are going to hit the mountain!"

"Ah! It's over! My life is over!"

"Moonlight, help!"

"Moonlight!" At this time, the five people on the boat also saw this scene, and they were all shocked.

WHOOSH!

At this moment, a crescent-like sword energy slammed out of Moonlight's hands and slashed accurately on the cliff.

BOOM!

The sword energy roared, and the entire cliff was cut to pieces at once, and the Merry passed through at the same time, falling into the water. Everyone was shocked.

"That was too close," the five people breathed a sigh of relief one after another.

"Where is Miss Nami?" Sanji asked, seeing that Nami was not there.

Chopper kindly pointed, and looking in the direction of his finger, they saw Nami riding a speedboat, depressed, in the place where the colorful mist had been. It had disappeared too fast. Not only her, but everyone on the Rainbow Tower was also sighing with regret. If they had been a little faster, they could have gotten countless treasures. Unfortunately, there was no regret medicine in the world.

"What happened inside?" After everyone went ashore, Nami asked immediately.

"Some very interesting things happened," Robin smiled and talked about all the things he had experienced inside.

"Time travel?" Moonlight's heart moved. If they hadn't experienced it personally, who would believe this kind of thing? In this world, there really was such a thing as time travel. There were Henzo, Rapanui, Isoka, and the Pumpkin Pirates. But it seemed to be due to fate. At this moment, the Navy arrived in the distance.

"It's them!" Luffy said, looking at the lead Marine, Pasqua, as if he were seeing a ghost. And Henzo was shocked, looking at the Marine in front of him, as if he were seeing a ghost.

"It's me," Pasqua said, talking about a coin and smiling at Henzo.

Moonlight took a deep breath. Although this was hard to believe, it was true. Luffy and their time had passed. And the memory still existed, true and complete. Pasqua and several people also knew Luffy. Unfortunately, their stands were different, and finally, Luffy and the others left.

"This Grand Line is really dreamy," although they had left Ruluka Island, Luffy and the others couldn't help but recall.

Zoro seemed to have had a new insight and began to practice his swords frantically.

"Look, what is that?" However, at this moment, Nami suddenly raised her head and looked at the sky with a look of astonishment.

"What?" everyone looked up and saw that in the sky, countless sawdust fell from the sky, like a wood rain. Then a huge ship fell from the sky and sank into the sea in front of everyone.

"The ship that descended from the sky?" Luffy exclaimed.
