Chapter 1 - Fables About The Sky

In the first breath of time, humanity live in peace and joy under the blessing of the Sky Father.

Children of humanity built a civilization in the sky, as they watch the ground below them, habited only by wildlife and nature. They called themselves Aetherian.

Up in the sky, no one will starve, for the Sky Father gave all men and women equal meals alike.

The sky people considered this sky castrum as a paradise, untouched by the earth beneath their feet. It is as if the sky was their birthright.

But all lights eventually fades, the same goes for faith. Humanity's forgetfulness, eventually became their own misery. Gradually, more and more people started to stop praying and worshipping the Sky Father.

Enraged by humanity's greed and pride, the Sky Father declared: "You have forgotten me."

As the air is thick with the essence of the divine sentence, the sky begins to tremble, as raging winds blow away the civilization once built. Temples crumbled, houses destroyed, it is as if the sky itself is shattering.

Amidst the unfolding chaos, the Sky Father cast humanity down from their sacred haven, as if punishing them collectively. Even those who are unknown to them what sin they have committed to anger the will of the sky.

With that, children of humanity was cast down to earth, as people scattered across the unknown land, most Aetherians died on impact, others are left scared , lost, and confused.

Some Aetherians wandered the foreign region, others climbed to a high place, be it trees or mountain as they fall to their knees, begging for the Sky Father to bring them back.. to where they once belong.

Eras after eras, humanity's will to survive never once dimmed. With ambition, humanity created a new civilization on the earth's soil. Kingdoms rises, travelers come and go, as bards sings the story of their banishment from paradise with regrets.

Even so, humanity's will to reach the sky never once dimmed in their heart. The predecessors of the Sky People erect a tower, one tall enough and was meant to reach the promised skyland.

There's only one grand mission needs to be fulfilled: To return to where their ancestors once step foot on. To do that they erect a tower.. called the Tower of Babel.

The Tower of Babel, built by the children of humanity over countless eras, reaching a height unimaginable.

Thousands of kilometers tall, that makes even the tallest mountain envy. The tower is not only tall, but is also vast, like an infinite space.

What was once meant to reach paradise turns into a place for scholars to gather and discussed, offering their knowledge to the tower, as they created the Library of Babel.

Scholars from many regions and eras gathers to offer their knowledge to the tower, in hope that the tower will repay them with a favor of greater wisdom.

However, not all stories deserve a happy ending. And certainly, not this one..

One day.. everything changed..

The sky turns crimson-red, as if the sky itself is furious towards humanity for trying to defy the sky lord's will by creating a tower to escape their fated life on earth.

The once mighty tower crumbled to earth, leaving only the foundation of the once sacred library, as army of the sky descend from heaven, bearing the sky lord's order.

In response to the attack, kings of all kingdoms gathered at the ruins of the tower, declaring war against the sky, renouncing the false divinity they once worshipped.

Soldiers with numbers beyond measured, coming from all side of the world, stand together under one banner, to wiped away the ruler of the sky.

However, as war takes its place, humanity met with failure, as they we unable to slain the Skyborne army, resulting in a heavy loss of soldiers and brother-in-arms.

Just as all hope seems dimmed, humanity discovered Arcane Energy, an ancient power buried deep in the root of the world.

With renewed hope, humanity fights back against the horde of the sky, clearing the earth from those who doesn't belong.

A war that has passed more than a hundred years.. yet it never seems to end.

Even now.. The Skyborne roams the earth, preying on a smaller groups of human, destroying villages and raiding merchants like a common criminal. All in the name of the Sky Father.
