Even so, he let Somnus take his hand and lead him back, let him tuck him into bed without a word.
Somnus even removed the green jacket embroidered in white and the high-cut boots he had been wearing today.
Normally, Li Shen only had Agares help with those a little—he handled the rest himself.
But when Somnus was there, it was all too easy to let himself be cared for this way.
And that, Li Shen thought, was something he could never really put into words.
"Then sleep well. Once I finish this matter, I will return immediately. I'll come wake you at a good time, before you oversleep."
"…Don't stare too much at my sleeping face, alright? Well, see you later. Thanks, Somnus."
Li Shen accepted the soft kiss on his lips as if it were natural, and from under the sheet pulled up to his neck, he spoke his words of farewell.
But Somnus didn't move.
