Those who only relied on others to save them in times of crisis would never be helped.
Once, when a Calamity-class monster appeared in a powerful nation, the king of that country refused to even mobilize his own army, calling it meaningless, and instead begged Master Del Delatia to subjugate it. But that country no longer existed in the world.
On top of that, the fact that multiple Calamity-class monsters existed at the same time made it clear that even if Master Del Delatia and his disciples tried to deal with them all, it would be impossible by numbers alone.
The stronger the monster, the more it would instinctively attack humans, and without delay, always head toward the most populated areas.
For that reason, even if they could not destroy the creatures, each nation decided at the very least to form suicide squads to try to change their paths, no matter the cost.
But in the end, they were saved only by what could be called the mercy of the gods.
