Chapter 5 - Episode 5: Ultimate Sacrifice

The Omnitrix flared to life, bathing Ben in its familiar green glow. He desperately needed power, something that could stand against both Eon Codex and the corrupted version of himself. His mind raced through his available transformations, discarding one after another. He needed something… more. Something ultimate. But the Ultimatrix was still glitching, the transformations unstable. He took a gamble, scrolling to Alien X once again. He knew the risks. He knew the cost. But he had no other choice. He slammed down on the Omnitrix, bracing himself for the inevitable mental onslaught.

He felt the familiar sensation of his mind being ripped apart, the voices of Serena and Bellicus flooding his consciousness. But this time, it was different. The voices were… fainter. Weaker. The corruption from the Chronoscape was interfering, disrupting the delicate balance within Alien X. He struggled to maintain control, to prevent the Celestialsapiens from taking over completely. He focused on his mission, on his friends, on his responsibility. He had to stop Eon Codex. He had to save the multiverse. And he had to do it now.

Alien X floated in the Chronoscape, his form shimmering with cosmic energy. Eon Codex recoiled, sensing the shift in power. "Impossible," it hissed. "You cannot control Alien X! It is too powerful!" Ben ignored the entity, focusing on the corrupted Ben who floated nearby, consumed by the power he had absorbed. The corrupted Ben laughed, a hollow, empty sound. "You can't stop me, Ben," he said. "I am the ultimate being! I have the power to destroy everything!" Ben felt a surge of anger, of disgust. He couldn't let this version of himself destroy everything he held dear. He had to stop him, no matter the cost.

Alien X unleashed a wave of cosmic energy, striking the corrupted Ben and sending him spiraling through the Chronoscape. The corrupted Ben retaliated, unleashing a barrage of energy blasts that tore through the fabric of reality. The two cosmic entities clashed, their powers creating shockwaves that threatened to shatter the Chronoscape. Ben struggled to maintain control of Alien X, his mind teetering on the brink of oblivion. The voices of Serena and Bellicus were growing louder, more insistent, threatening to overwhelm him completely. He knew he was running out of time. He had to act fast, before he lost himself completely.

He focused his thoughts, picturing a single point in time, a nexus point where he could disrupt Eon Codex's control over the timelines. He saw it. The moment when Eon Codex first gained his power, the moment when he became the Final Singularity. He had to erase that moment from existence, to sever the connection between Eon Codex and the Chronoscape. But how? He couldn't simply erase Eon Codex from existence. That would create a paradox, unraveling the fabric of reality. He needed a more subtle approach, a way to rewrite history without destroying everything.

He reached out with his cosmic awareness, scanning the timelines, searching for a loophole, a weakness in Eon Codex's plan. He found it. A single, insignificant detail, a minor event that had cascading consequences, leading to Eon Codex's rise to power. He could alter that event, change the course of history, and prevent Eon Codex from ever becoming the Final Singularity. But it was a gamble. He had no way of knowing what the consequences would be. He could be creating a new, even worse future. But he had no other choice. He had to take the risk.

Alien X focused his power, manipulating the timelines, rewriting history. He altered the minor event, changing the course of events, preventing Eon Codex from gaining his power. The Chronoscape began to stabilize, the timelines ceased fracturing, and the chaos subsided. Eon Codex screamed in agony as his power waned, his form flickering and fading. "You cannot do this!" he cried. "I am the Final Singularity! I am inevitable!" But it was too late. The connection between Eon Codex and the Chronoscape was severed. He was no longer the Final Singularity. He was just… Eon. A powerless, insignificant being.

With Eon Codex defeated, Ben turned his attention to the corrupted Ben, who was still rampaging through the Chronoscape, consumed by his own power. He knew he couldn't simply defeat him. The corrupted Ben was still a version of himself, a part of him. He had to reach him, to remind him of who he was, of what he stood for. Alien X approached the corrupted Ben, his form radiating compassion and understanding. "It's over, Ben," he said. "You don't have to do this. You can stop." The corrupted Ben hesitated, his eyes flickering with a hint of recognition. "I… I don't want to do this," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "But I can't stop. The power… it's too strong."

Ben knew what he had to do. He had to sacrifice his own power, his own memories, to save this version of himself. He focused his thoughts, channeling his energy, and began to unravel the fabric of Alien X. The cosmic energy surged, creating a blinding flash of light. When the light faded, Alien X was gone. Ben Tennyson stood in his place, weak, exhausted, but alive. The corrupted Ben stared at him, his eyes filled with confusion. "What… what happened?" he asked. "It's over," Ben said. "You're free." The corrupted Ben collapsed, his body reverting back to its original form. He was just Ben Tennyson, a teenager from another universe, lost and confused. But he was safe. He was free.

Ben looked around at the Chronoscape, which was slowly returning to normal. The timelines were stabilizing, the chaos was subsiding, and the multiverse was safe. He had done it. He had saved everyone. But at a cost. He had sacrificed his own power, his own memories. He could barely remember who he was, what he had done. He felt like a blank slate, a new person. But he didn't regret it. He had done what was right. He had saved the multiverse. And that was all that mattered. As he started falling back towards earth, he began to think about what he was going to eat for dinner. But then he was pulled into another portal, and standing before him was Paradox. "I've been expecting you," he said. "There is still much work to be done."

Before Ben could respond, Paradox snapped his fingers, and they were gone. The Chronoscape was empty once more, the only evidence of the battle that had taken place there the faint echoes of cosmic energy. But the multiverse was safe. For now. But little did Ben know, that this was only the beginning. The events that transpired in the Chronoscape caused ripples throughout time, and the fate of the multiverse was far from being safe. As Paradox took Ben, he made sure to leave the other Ben, who was no longer corrupted, on Earth to think about what had happened. But what would he do next?
