Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: You Don't Die if You Don't Seek Death

"They're here." Someone's voice rang out.

Immediately, all the Marine soldiers by the dock stood at attention, lining up in straight rows on either side, their eyes fixed on the front.

Led by Sengoku, many generals stood between the two rows of soldiers, clad in Marine cloaks of justice.

Standing to Sengoku's left and right were Zephyr and Vice Admiral Tsuru. Normally, only Admirals could stand to Sengoku's left and right, but today the Three Admirals had all received their respective orders to execute missions in various sea areas and couldn't return temporarily.

Zephyr, as a former Admiral and a mentor who cultivated many excellent generals, even the current Three Admirals were his disciples, and many current Vice Admirals and Rear Admirals were once his students. The term "highly respected" was the only one that could describe Zephyr's status in the Marine.

The spot where Vice Admiral Tsuru stood originally belonged to Garp, but Garp was currently searching for Ye Chen at Marine Headquarters and couldn't be found for a while. With Kong about to arrive, he had no choice but to let Tsuru fill in.

As time passed, the warship in front slowly sailed, finally stopping at the dock.

At the same time, all the Marines, led by Sengoku, perked up, staring intently at the warship in front.

Just then, the warship lowered its gangway, and a white-haired old man in casual clothes and a Marine justice coat, with a Mohawk haircut and an M-shaped beard on his chin, his entire body bulging with muscles, like hard rocks under the sunlight, full of strength.

Kong, the current World Government Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Kong was stern and unsmiling, slowly walking down the gangway with silent steps. Behind him was a group of World Government officials.

However, compared to Kong, these people were like heaven and earth apart; each was pot-bellied and feeble.

Kong walked down and surveyed Sengoku and the others. Seeing the two rows of Marine soldiers looking spirited and sharp-eyed, he nodded secretly.

It was clear he was quite satisfied with these Marine soldiers.

"Sengoku, where's that guy Garp?" Kong frowned slightly when he saw that Garp was the only one missing from the crowd. He pondered for a moment, then asked Sengoku.

He knew that the Marine Three Admirals were out on missions, but Garp had just talked to him not long ago, saying he was waiting for him to have a good match.

Now that he was here, Garp was nowhere to be seen.

As soon as he spoke.

Sengoku, Zephyr, and Vice Admiral Tsuru's eyes showed a trace of bitter smile. They were all in the know and knew that Garp was still searching for Ye Chen, probably looking in some corner (acff).

But he was also stubborn. He could have gotten the answer by just asking a Marine, but instead, he went around searching by himself.

At this moment, Sengoku concealed the bitter smile in his eyes and, with a smile, said to Kong, "Because he heard you were coming, he's still training, wanting to warm up for a big fight with you."

Sengoku knew very well that the warm-up was all fake. It was just that they couldn't find Garp in a short time, and Kong was about to arrive, so they had no choice but to say this.

"Hahahaha, since he's warmed up, I'm a little excited for our duel." Kong laughed a few times, his expression showing a hint of excitement, his eyes flashing with fighting spirit.

Before, when he was a Marine Fleet Admiral, he often sparred with Garp, and it had become a habit. However, he hadn't fought Garp since he was transferred.

Because of this, Kong was quite looking forward to his duel with Garp.

Speaking of their previous duels, some people often bet on who would win or lose today, but most of the time he lost, and the winners were Oumimi Miyapi.

Because of this, those who initially bet on him lost a lot.

"The banquet is ready. After it's over, Garp's warm-up should be about done, and then you two can duel," Sengoku said with a smile.

"That won't do," Kong refused directly.

As soon as he spoke,

Sengoku's face looked somewhat stunned.

At this moment, Kong said with a smile, "I'll only show my face at the banquet; you arrange the rest yourselves. I can't let Garp be the only one warming up."

Sengoku looked helpless upon hearing this and could only agree, "Then we'll proceed as you say."

"Mm, let's go then," Kong smiled.

"Boom."

And at this very moment, a giant crab's astonishing explosion sound rang out.

At the same time, Sengoku, Zephyr, and Vice Admiral Tsuru's faces suddenly changed dramatically.

Vice Admiral Tsuru's eyebrows furrowed slightly, her eyes flashing with worry, her face full of helplessness. "A time of many troubles."

"Shigan."

With a loud roar, a Marine Rear Admiral spread his hands, his fingers instantly covered in Armament Haki, dark and glistening like steel.

Two finger-sized shockwaves shot towards Ye Chen.

"Boring."

Ye Chen whispered, instantly drawing his katana and slashing through the air. The two Shigan shockwaves were instantly deflected.

"Pfft."

The Shigan was deflected, directly hitting the Marine Rear Admiral's heart.

"How... is this... possible..." The Marine Rear Admiral looked shocked, his bloodshot eyes almost bulging out.

He hadn't expected to die from his own attack.

"Damn pirates."

The remaining generals saw a comrade die in front of them and roared furiously.

"Heh heh, I gave you face, but you didn't take it," Ye Chen said with a hint of disdain in his eyes upon hearing the roars of the remaining generals.

Originally, he had only intended to quietly take Akainu's life-buying money and leave quietly.

However, these people were shameless, even thinking that Ye Chen wouldn't dare to do anything to them at Marine Headquarters. Did Ye Chen really fear this?

He dared to attack Mary Geoise and extort compensation from the Gorosei, so what was Marine Headquarters worth?

"Pfft pfft pfft."

Although these generals were quite strong and had cultivated their Armament Haki well, facing Ye Chen, they were instantly killed.

Before long, all the remaining generals fell to the ground, their eyes wide and bloodshot, looking unwilling to die.

Blood slowly flowed from the generals' wounds, and soon the ground was covered in blood, filling the small resting room with a bloody smell.

"If you don't seek death, you won't die," Ye Chen coldly uttered a sentence as he sheathed his katana.

"Ah ah ah ah."

At this moment, a small figure walked in, still holding a treasure chest in her hand.

When she entered the lounge and saw the bodies of Marine generals everywhere, she immediately let out a scream.

PS: Thank you for your enthusiastic participation, but Dragon Ball characters are too strong, anyone familiar with them could easily defeat pirates, so... you know...
