Chapter Three: First Mission
Jūzō took his bath and found a uniform on his bed.
"Himuro Sensei must have brought it in when I was in the bathroom".
He wore it, it was a high neck black coat with red zips, black joggers and red shoes. He also found red fingerless gloves and a red headband.
"This school sure has fashion sense".
He came out of the room and met Akira at the front door, she was waiting for him.
"Ready to go brother?"
"Wait"
He knelt before her, removed the cresent moon locket that belonged to his dead sister and gave it to her.
"This belongs to you, it will go with your clothes",he said smiling.
"Thanks brother",she said pecking him on the cheek.
She wore a short black skirt, black round necked coat and black fingerless gloves with black shoes completing it worth the head band.
"Let's go",he said.
They headed outside holding each other's hands.
Outside
They reached the entrance of the hallway and saw three other students wearing the same clothes but with striking differences.
They had black zips unlike him who had black zips, they also had black fingerless gloves, black head bands with an Eagle's Logo on it but his were red.
"Why do they look different?",he asked himself
"Oh Jūzō you're up",Ms. Sae spoke making all eyes focus on him.
"Who is that and why does his uniform look different from ours?", A girl asked.
"He's the new boy Jūzō just like you, he will be joining us for today",Ms. Sae replied.
Just walked up to them where they were standing.
"Morning Himuro Sensei"
"Morning Jūzō, how do you feel now?, I'm hope the beating of the entrance battle isn't paining"
Then others were already laughing
"Himuro Sensei"
"Ok, ok, sorry. Meet your classmates, first we have the oldest here Haruki Kanzaki, he uses the fire technique"
"Nice to meet you",Haruki said.
He was about 7ft tall and slim in stature but still muscular, handsome but a little cockiness showed on his face.
"Second we have Toma Mikage, a sorceror that uses the shadow technique"
"Hey",he said with a cool deep voice offering a fist bump.
"Hey", Jūzō accepted the Fist bump.
Toma seemed to be cool, he was 6ft in height, almost taller than Jūzō. He was fit also but muscular according to his slim stature.
"And we have last but not the least Sayuri Amagiri, she uses the flower technique"
Jūzō smirked a little.
"What's so funny?",she asked in a loud brave voice.
"Nothing, I just remembered something".
"And what's that?",she asked further.
"Okay, let's get to the mission of the day, you two newbies will raid a 2nd grade cursed building, located in the city, as you know, we are near the forest so we have to get to the city on time and finish the mission before the sun goes down, got it?".
Both yelled "YES!"
They were heading out and Toma spoke to Jūzō saying:
"You have to be careful or else she eat you raw, I just knew her and I Know she's the violent type",he said smiling.
They walked all the way to the house they were about to raid.
"Now you both go in and be careful, curses are not what they seem to be",Himuro Sensei said sitting on a bench by the side walk, the two newbies went in and the remaining two, Haruki and Toma joined Sensei Himuro Sae on the bench.
"Himuro Sensei",Haruki called out
"I know what you are about to ask, and yes, I know what I'm doing".
"Are you sure?, because you sent only two Third Grade Sorcerors into a second grade cursed territory",Toma added.
"Yes, I know, but there's something special about those two",Sae replied
"And what is that?",toma asked.
"Sayuri Amagiri is a strong violent girl with flower technique, that's like a snake with legs. She is flexible and violent just as she looks, and she will be able to handle this curses".
"And what about Jūzō",Haruki asked.
"Jūzō Kurozama, just by the level of cursed energy he has, he will be able to handle this and also, he uses the slicing technique, that's for special grade sorcerors. But he doesn't know how to fight, this Mission will build his combat skills"
"And if he can't handle it?",Toma asked.
"Well, if he can't handle it, he has both Sayuri and his slicing technique to help him. But I have a strong faith that he can handle it".
"What makes you think he can",toma asked again.
"Judging by the way he caught the hand of Master Rikuya Kurobane and the force he used in punching the doll, I know he can",Ms. Sae replied.
IN THE HOUSE
Thw two, Sayuri and Jūzō made their way to the living room, it was old and dusty. The floor creaked and the walls were cracked, it looked like it hadn't been inhabited for years.
They didn't see anything and decided to go upstairs.
The upper floor seemed two have two different directions and they had to part ways.
"Seems like we'll have to part ways here", Jūzō pointed out.
"Yh, be careful, don't die",she replied.
"Don't die?, Seriously?"
"Yh, I don't want to carry you out of here on my back, I don't carry weaklings"
"Weaklings?, I'll show you I'm not a weakling, I'm strong, stronger than you".
"Wanna bet?",Sayuri asked
"First to come out alive with the most kills wins", Jūzō pointed out
"Accepted",Sayuri accepted.
They both ran into the rooms which was another hallway.
JŪZŌ'S HALLWAY
Juzo ran down, heading further upstairs seeing nothing but old furnitures. He stopped
"Oh, man, will I lose to this troublesome girl?".
He turned just to be met by a scorpion like curse, it's one of it's pincers were big and it's stinger was long and sharp.
"Here we go",Jūzō said smiling.
The curse attacked with it's stinger, over and over again but Jūzō kept dodging it. Each sting to the floor was ground breaking. The ground literally broke in pieces leaving limited area for Jūzō to go.
"Tsk, I fell right into it's trap, these things are wise after all"
The curse was about to sting but Jūzō swiped just in time. The stinger was cut off Immediately. The curse shrieked in pain and dashed towards Jūzō but he leaped into the air and landed one punch to it's head. He landed another one and another one again and again until it died.
"One down",he said panting a little.
Then a little curse that saw it all dashed past him with great speed but that wasn't fast enough for him not to notice. It ran upstairs and Jūzō followed.
"Hey come here you stupid curse",he yelled as he made a pursuit after it up the stairs.
"Hey come here"
Jūzō found it, a dwarfed troll curse, ugly looking and deadly equipped, it had teeth like a sabbered tooth tiger.
It hunged on a wall like a spider.
"What the—"
MEANWHILE IN SAYURI'S SIDE
"No curses here, dang it!"
She was already in a room and decided to sit a little. Then she noticed, a stack of bikes, something was off.
"A bicycle curse, really?, That's not safe".
But nothing happened.
"Don't wanna come out do you, you know I can sense you right?",she added.
Again nothing happened.
"Want me to think I'm mad uhn?"
Pricks of thorns the size of a long nail forms out of nowhere and pierces the bicycle.
Eyes started to reveal itself, I was in pain bit still chose to attack. It lunged at her.
"Petals razor cut",she with an action tone.
The bicycle curse was cut into two and faded away.
"One down, I'm sure Jūzō hasn't even found one, I'm gonna win this—"
But before she could speak finish, Jūzō broke through the wall to her side and the dwarfed troll was on the floor laying there as if dead.
"What?, How did you break through the wall?",she asked shockingly.
"I guess I just punched it, that's all"
"You guess?, there's no way a normal person can punch through the wall like that, you must be a monster",she continued to scream.
"What?, Me?, Monster?, No, come on, I just punched it—",he replied.
The curse before Jūzō could say anything further ran upstairs, with a childish sound.
"Hey, come back here", Jūzō chased.
"Hey, that one is mine, you better not excorcize it",Sayuri followed.
They continue to run until they reached a small cupboard like room.
"Oh my goodness, how many stairs and room does this house have?",said Sayuri panting.
"I don't know",said Jūzō said also panting heavily.
The curse was nowhere to be found and the room was dark.
Suddenly, it jumped out but Jūzō punched it back in and Sayuri slipped in a vine to track it's located. She found it and drew it out. It hung from the vine trying to break out and run away.
"Excorcize it", Jūzō said hands in pocket walking away.
"What?, You choose to forfiet?".
"Yh whatever, anything to get us out of here".
She stung it dead with thorns longer than ones finger from all directions.
She ran to his side and they chatted until they reached outside.
"Himuro Sensei!, We are done!",she said in an audible voice.
"Told you they'd survive",she said to Toma and Haruki.
"Well then, good job, it's almost evening, let's head home.
"Who wants sushi!?",Ms. Sae asked
Toma and Jūzō replied in the positive.
