Prologue: Congratulations, You're a Bug!

In the holy divine space known as the Celestial Chamber of Summoning, stars rotated in graceful spirals, golden runes shimmered across the sky, and divine energy pulsed through the air like an eternal heartbeat.

Everything was going smoothly…

Until it wasn't.

A blaring ding! shattered the sacred silence.

🚨 SYSTEM ERROR: Unauthorized Mortal Detected in Summoning Ritual! 🚨

Inside a floating crystalline terminal, a stressed-out divine messenger—Elarion—choked on his celestial wine.

"Wh-what?! Who the hell is Lucian Kael!?"

He frantically scrolled through the Summoning Manifest. Five names were approved. Five heroes, blessed with courage, destined to save the world of Velderan.

But now… there were six people on the platform.

One of them was very, very wrong.

Back on Earth – 5 Minutes Earlier:

Lucian Kael, 23, professional shut-in, game dev, and anime connoisseur, was deep into his night routine: bug-fixing code while inhaling instant noodles like a vacuum cleaner.

His triple monitor setup cast a faint RGB glow on his room, decorated with fantasy posters, gacha figurines, and enough manga volumes to be considered structural support.

"Let's see... pathfinding AI fixed... boss now doesn't walk into lava... cool," he muttered, cracking his knuckles.

"Man, if I got isekai'd into my own game right now, I'd be overpowered as hell."

Famous last words.

The screen turned white. The air pixelated.

"...Wait, what? Did I press F12 too hard—?"

BOOM

Celestial Chamber:

Six confused people appeared in the summoning circle.

Five were clearly heroes—athletic, glowing with divine energy, eyes full of purpose.

The sixth?

Lucian Kael. Bedhead. Worn-out T-shirt that said "Save Often or Cry Forever." Holding a half-eaten Pocky stick.

"Bro," Lucian said, blinking, "is this a VR trailer or did someone spike my instant noodles?"

The other heroes stared at him like he farted during a funeral.

Elarion descended in a flash of divine light, wings flaring behind him.

"You!" he thundered.

"You're not supposed to be here!"

Lucian raised his hand. "Yeah, hi. Lucian. Big fan of glowing winged people. Question: where the hell is my chair and why do I feel like I'm about to become DLC content?"

"This is a divine realm! You have been mistakenly summoned!"

Lucian paused. "So I'm... a bug?"

"Yes."

"Like, literally a divine glitch?"

"YES."

"Sick. Do I get early access or nah?"

Elarion facepalmed so hard the stars above flickered.

After the Other Heroes Were Sent Off

The real heroes got the usual spiel—save the world, defeat evil, yadda yadda. They disappeared in a flash of holy light.

Lucian, however, was still there.

Sitting cross-legged on the summoning platform.

Eating another Pocky stick.

Watching Elarion melt into a pile of stress.

"Okay," Lucian said, "serious question now. Do I go back to Earth or do I get, like, reincarnated as a slime or a fridge or something?"

Elarion groaned. "You're not going back. The ritual can't be reversed."

"So I am a DLC."

"You... You're a corrupted side quest. You don't belong in the main story!"

Lucian gave a mock salute. "Story of my life, boss."

Elarion muttered something about resigning and pulling his divine hair out.

"Fine," the angel finally said. "We'll drop you into the world six months before the real heroes arrive. You'll retain your memories. You'll get... some blessings. But you'll stay low. Invisible. Like a rock."

Lucian: "I'm sensing a 'but' coming."

"But if you mess with fate, I'll personally smite you. Understood?"

Lucian nodded solemnly.

"Crystal clear. Live like a rock. Quiet. Hidden. Maybe a low-rank adventurer or a potato farmer. Lay low. Absolutely no world-breaking."

He winked. "Scout's honor."

Elarion zapped a glowing rune onto Lucian's forehead.

"Then go, oh Glitched One. Try not to blow up the planet."

Lucian Wakes Up

He stood in a peaceful valley. Birds chirped. Trees swayed.

"...Still human. Still have hands. That's a win."

A floating menu shimmered in the air.

"...This is literally a game UI. They even left in debug mode?"

He opened his stat screen. Everything was ???. His power level was unreadable.

He picked up a twig, muttered a spell name from one of his own games—and the stick transformed into a steel-bladed sword.

"Yep. Broken. I love it."

But he wasn't here to be a hero.

He had one goal: Live quietly as a background adventurer. A nobody. A mob.

Unfortunately for him…

Every time he tried to stay low…

He ended up doing something ridiculous.
