"What is going on now? Are you safe now?" Kael's voice pushed into his head curiously and Lance let out a growl in his head.
"Kael, if I hear your voice in my head one more time, I will skin you alive." And with that threat, Lance cut him off and slammed the link shut. He forced the connection closed and ignoring Kael's protest. Kael was getting out of control! He'd never thought that the brother who would worry the most would be Kael of the three of them.
Finally, with Kael no longer hovering in his head worriedly about their safety, Lance breathed out hard. Relief hit then. They had gotten out. But were they really safe? Only time would tell.
Because, whoever this "master" was, he would not be easy to deal with. Lance had felt the man's power through the door just as he was about to kill the witch.
If his wolf hadn't sensed the malicious intent from the other side, he and Emira would be dead. He'd grabbed her and leapt through the window just before the room exploded.
