"Hey, Haruya… I'll be leaving now," Raito said.
As the security opened the door, Raito moved toward the window. From about seventy feet above the ground, he jumped, landing perfectly. Boom.
He immediately started running, his figure swift and precise.
Haruya opened the window, glancing down at him, along with some of the security.
Oh no… this is bad. They didn't see my face… good. Still, I have to disappear fast, Raito thought, jogging away into the distance, his presence remaining a mystery.
Raito didn't stop running. His footsteps hammered against the pavement until—
SHUAAAA—!
Mana flared beneath him and he shot upward, vanishing into the night sky like a streak of shadow.
From the hospital window, Takumi stared, stunned.
"…He really isn't normal," he whispered.
Raito glided across the rooftops, landing silently on the balcony of his apartment. He exhaled deeply.
"Good… I didn't get caught."
His tone carried cold relief.
