There she was, standing at the end f the hallway.
she was much taller than my five foot 6 frame, with those Green eyes of hers and her Brown hair and those slender legs that were always visible and that beautiful dress she had on.
No womder why Alex had fallen for her.
"Arai!" she yelled as as walked towards me.
But i pretended not to hear and went in the opposite direction, heading straight to my room.
"Aria wait!" she yelled again as i heard her steps getting closer to me.
Leah was the last person i wanted to see right now. Is she calling me to mock me?. I haven't even gotten time to process everything fully or even heal.
as i was about to climb the stairs, she held my hand and forced me to turn around and look at her face.
i growled out sharply at her touch. How dare she touch me carelessly. I was still Luna even if she was carrying the Heir.
Her Green eyes went wide in surprise over how i reacted and she immediately let go off my hand, giving me an innocent gaze.
"Aria, i am so sorry" she says "I never wanted this to happen."
Leah was always the same. Pretending like she was my sister instead of being the Alpha's mistress.
"I couldn't deny him, he is the Alpha" she added as crocodile tears started rolling down her cheeks "i never intended for this to happen, but i want yo o know that i love him too and i also love this pack as much as you do. Please do not hate me and this child." she added as she rubbed her big belly.
I was furious. My inner wolf telling me to do rip her to shreds right here! right now!. How could she be here, talking to me like she's the victim. I was vexed.
And not I, I who laboured and did everything for him and this pack. I who sacrificed everything just to be treated coldly and harshly.
I despised her for doing this.
Being the Beta's daughter, it was general knowledge that i'd be the Luna one day.
I started Training since i was 13, way before me and Alex even mated.
And who was Leah? Just some nobody who just happened to be pretty and who a;so happened to have mistakenly come across the Alpha.
Normally i would give her a smile and just walk away, but not now. Now she has crossed the line, now she had removed every hope i had of every getting Alex to love me.
"Get a grip of yourself, you pathetic woman, you are carrying the Alpha's baby, the Heir and yet you are behaving so childish. Do you think I'd sympathize with you? Feel pity for you? Aftr what you've done?" I yelled at her as people in the pack were already gathering as they heard my voice.
Leah immediately broke down and starting weeping.
"Leah!" one of the onlookers said as he ran towards our direction.
It was Brad, the Gamma ad third in command of the pack.
He rushed and held Leah and started comforting her and his eyes met mine. All i could see was pure hatred and i couldn't care less.
"She's carrying the Heir, why say such words to her? The least you could do was to accept her apology" Brad said.
i just stared at him. What gave him the right to talk to me in such manner. I wanted to lash out at him too but it was enough.
I've had enough of this drama for one night.
"I'm retiring for the night ad i do not want to disturbed. See to it that the area of the pack house is calm and relaxed" I said to Bran as i completely ignored what he had told.
Tho vexed, he bowed his head as there was nothing else he could do.
"That's right" i thought. At least someone still gave me the respect i deserved.
On a normal occasion, i would conduct myself as the Luna, but i had to put this girl in her place.
I retreated to my bedroom where i had my own kitchen, dining area and a massive bed in the middle all to myself.
Well it was for me and Alex but he no longer wants to be with me.
"I'm back!" i called out, removing my shoes at the door.
There she was, my maid and my best friend , Sophie.
With a sad look on her face. She has obviously heard the news.
"Oh Dear" she said as she hugged me "You'll be fine" she added as she hugged me tighter and i did the same to her.It was good having someone who actually cared about you.
Sophie was an elderly lady who had taken the initiative to look after me since i mated and climbed to this position.
My mother died when i was very little so Sophie was the closest thing to a mother since then.
She has taken very good care of me since i was brought here 5 years ago. I love her so much.
"I feel like running away, i have nothing else to give" i mumbled as my face rested on her chest.
"Don't say that. Anyone in your position would feel the same but remember this pack still needs you as their queen, as their Luna" Sophie said as she raised my head and gave me a kiss on my forehead.
I thought of the faces i saw when i had the altercation with Leah. Those faces didn't look like they needed me. They didn't look like they loved me.
And as time goes by, i was sure their love will keep on diminishing.
"They do not love me anymore, Sophie. They love who can give them an Heir. They love Leah" i said as looked at sophie's dark eyes.
Sophie was speechless, she could see i was hurt badly and there was nothing she could do.
I had made up my mind. I was going to run away. I have had enough of this. My father will be very disappointed in me but i couldn't care less.
It was time for me to do something for myself and not for others this time.
"I think you should..." i cut Sophie off before could she finish her sentence.
"The only thing i should be thinking of is how to get out of this place, it's about time i do something for myself." i said to Sophie.
As i stood up to start packing, i heard the door open with force.
There was only one person who could open my door with such audacity.
And there it was, those familiar Blue eyes, filled with rage.
