There can be no growth without hardship.
But, officers cant you see i'm just a entrepreneur selling my wares against a new form of law violators. Sure, 100$ a week seem harsh but think of it as insurance on no parahuman gangs suddenly crop up and assert their turf by wreaking havoc that could cause more property damages then a measly 100$.
By the way Jeany- I mean officer Mace surely you could look pass this since you are living in my protection area. How the kids doing these days.

I mean the gang name "Bigga Nigga" should be fine. It's a black person using it (In a positive manner too) and this is fiction ANYWAY. Akallas isn't using it to be racist he's using it to enhance his narrative. And to be honest? Gangs come up with worse names in reality all the time. I don't see any real harm being done here.

Considering he seems wiling to actually provide the service he is selling and isn't gouging too much money from people, I could see locals approving of him even if he remains a villain. Only problem is he isn't paying his protection money to Uncle Sam's gang, and while this being before Endbringers and other major threats messed up the economy and forced the government to slash the budgets of everything but PRT makes the world a far nicer place than canon era Brockton Bay, it also means the cops will keep bothering him...
...and possibly that Contessa will keep pushing the cops to attack him just so PRT can use him as an example how the current administration is unable to handle parahuman threats. Cauldron has no interest in letting him retire or laze about not being a threat and not causing people to trigger.

I've seen people post that word out of context all the time. Posting the word can still result in a warning.

Now I know I shouldn't assume, but there is a difference between something like a fanfic having a character who has Asperger's, is racist, or otherwise acts unpleasant, and a poster acting that way, and most posters and mods probably aren't idiots who would mistake one for the other.

The MC chose his build himself? Even under pressure, that's not something I can imagine a sane person doing. If you want to put the character in with a build that is fun rather than a build you would choose, just do so. I never got why so many authors were fixated on having the CYOAs bring filled in by the characters themselves.

1991 June 14th
So someone called the cops on me, but I had no way to know who it was.
At the same time, I only knew that someone called me in because of the gangsters under my protection informed me that the cops had my costume description taking protection money from the residents of northern Rochester.
I could act preemptively to cut down the cops before they interfered with my business, but it would also paint a target on my back for the new Protectorate heroes who had something to prove.
… No, in this situation, it was better for me to allow the cops to come to my territory and find their deaths not at the hands of the villain but in the hands of the gangsters.
I pulled out a burner phone and called.
There were two rings before the other party accepted the call.
"Who is this?"
"It's me," I grunted through the phone.
There was a pause before the gangster responded. "Uhh, big boss?"
"Yes," I replied. "I have a job for your gang."
"Sure, boss. Order away."
"If cops come by your territory and then enter my territory, then you send your best sniper and kill them."
"... You want us to be cop killers?"
Cop killers don't get mercy from cops. 90% of the time, cop killers don't make it to jail or even the hospital. Or so I was led to believe from my original Earth. I wondered if it would be the same in this place.
"I said I wanted a sniper. It'll be someone who won't leave a trace behind. In case it helps you to decide, all killings should happen in my personal territory, not yours."
"... Ah. You don't want people bothering you."
"Smart boy. Now get to it."
"Sure, uh. Just a question."
"Hmm?"
"Do… we get rewards for killing cops?"
I thought about it. Asking a normal gangster to kill cops was dangerous, but I wasn't asking it as a initiation or something like that. I wanted it to be a show of mercilessness and force. It had to be professional and traceless. I wanted my personal territory to be a cop's worst nightmare without actually using my power to do so, which would draw in the PRT and the Protectorate.
"Ten kay for each cop that dies from a headshot in my territory. Half that for body shots."
"Seriously?!"
"If it comes out traceless."
"I mean, of course, big boss! We'll get right to it!"
Ten thousand dollars wasn't much but not too little. It was something just right, if I say so myself, for a bounty on cops that threaded my territory.
1991 July 21st
The first cop got killed. It was done by the bigger gang under my protection, the Rouchester Big Man, or "Riggies." It was also a headshot, so I dished out the ten thousand I promised. It was a hefty price.
Once the gangsters were comfortable being cop killers, I could reduce the price. I would give excuses about how "you got better at it" or something like that to reduce the value in the act of killing cops to justify the lesser bounty.
1991 August 5th
Cops came calling in force. SWAT was called in along with the regulars and they were pushing my boys.
… I guess I delayed attention to myself from the PRT long enough.
I couldn't access my Endbringer powers while I wasn't an Endbringer, but what I could do was do some instant power mimicking. The plan was to transform, choose teleportation and invisibility powers to mimic and then once I teleport to where my boys were, transform back to my regular form.
Okay.
Ready?
Get set…
Actually, nevermind. I don't want to risk burning down a city.
Instead, I took a car(stolen by one of my boys) and drove it to near the location of the fight, which was less than five blocks from where I was.
Now at the edge of the fight on top of a building, I saw where the Riggies got pushed back to by the relentless cops. I honestly did not expect this kind of response.
Good thing I had equipment prepared.
You see, I didn't just sit on my money. I spent it prudently, mainly to buy ingrediants for … Well, Anarchist's Cookbook was a thing even in Earth Bet. I had borrowed a few gangster and paid them to make my favorite item from said book.
The Explosive Tennisball.
The real name was "Tennisball Bomb" but I liked my name better because instead of using matchstick heads as the original recipe instructed, I used god blessed American gunpowder.
And I had them made by the hundreds, which I then kept in my time-frozen Pocket Space after lighting them.
Standing far away from the shoot out between the cops and my boys, I grinned maniacally as I pulled out the explosive tennis balls and then Remote Transfer'ed them among the ranks of the cops.
The cops on one side of the street were behind barricades and their cars but then my Explosive Tennisballs began to bounce around them.
The gangsters looked confused and the cops looked confused.
I watched with glee through the binoculars as the cops looked at the lit tennisballs and then scrammed as they began to explode.
My boys then took potshots.
I pulled out my burner phone and called the boys again.
Ring twice and then the Riggies's boss, John, answered.
"Did you like my gift, Johnny?" I chuckled.
"That was you?!"
"Yup."
"Saved our asses there. How'd you do that?"
"Teleporting bombs."
"... You're scary, big boss."
"Ha! Keep it up. Oh, and keep shooting the cops."
By the end of the day, nine cops laid dead as well as twenty of my boys. While tt was an uneven trade, I considered it good against the trained armed forces of the police, the SWAT, and possibly more had the fight dragged on.
Perhaps it was time for me to select a few of the younger gangsters and train them to be something more than drug dealers.
1991 November 9
Rouchester saw its first vigilante.
And it also saw the vigilante's brutal death.
You see, this parahuman vigilante had been active since the August Massacre. She had been harassing my boys for a long time now. For weeks, she stole from me and mine but never killed. I thought about beating her up as a lesson, but then before I could make that decision, she went and killed someone.
Specifically, she killed one of the boys and girls I had been specially training.
I couldn't let that stand.
It was here that my fourth and last power came to be useful. I had [Power Sight] and allowed me to track parahumans within a mile range of me as long as I have had a chance to observe her visually.
It took me five days to find her. Took one day to find her identity.
Now, when I announced that I found her, a lot of my boys were eager to have … sessions with her. They wanted to do things I didn't approve of. I straight up told them that they would not be doing that.
The first idiot to speak up against me got his head blown up.
I took my special boys and girls, invaded the vigilante's house, and killed her with a quick and clean shot to her head. Then we hung her mask and costume on her door.
We then left.
1992 January 1
Protectorate finally took notice of Rouchester and me, and they sent their untested heroes and agents.
I knew that killing the Protectorate heroes would enrage a lot of people, so I did the best thing I could do.
While the Protectorates showboated for the crowd at Downtown Rouchester, I teleported my Explosive Tennisballs, one for each of the heroes, in front of them.
I watched with disgust as the explosion tossed the heroes aside and they began to call for their mommies (figuratively). They were pathetic.

Huh, looks like he dealt with things pretty well considering the darker nature of his choices so far. He's definitely the Marquis of Rochester in a way due to his being the sole 'parahuman' of the local gangs and the one that they answer to. A shame that he did that to the independent instead of trying to convert her or something but oh well I guess. I'd be interested to see what his threat ratings are at this point or later on as the PRT and Protectorate get entrenched.
