This starts off at the engagement party of Yuri and Jay while they are announcing the status.
Jay's POV:
Finally, they're announcing this stupid engagement, took them long enough.
"...and as a symbol of their partnership we would like to announce Mr. Yuri Hanamitchi and Jasper Jean Fernandez Mariano's engagement!"
I looked at my family pretending to be confused as Yuri went in to grab my waist, when suddenly someone's voice cut through the room.
"No! They will not be engaged."
Everyone's eyes turned to the entrance, and there he was standing, representative of J&JHealthcare. J&JHealthcare, one of the biggest Healthcare corporations in Asia, particularly in the Philippines. They are known to be extremely powerful, to put it into perspective around the same level or perhaps even more than the Watsons. he is just a puppet. Someone works behind in the shadows, a mystery that people have been trying to figure out for years. The only thing is that I am that person.
I don't tell anyone, and only a few people actually know. My lovely assistant, my ugly brother Percy and a few more people. I knew Yuri planned this so I made my assistant come to stop it. No one dared to question the words of my representative. This way this false engagement will be canceled.
"Who are you to say that?" Yuri replied back, his voice infused with confusion and bitterness.
Before he could utter another word, his grandfather stood up and stopped him.
"Do not interfere, if he says to stop it, we shall stop it. Do not cause trouble for us over a worthless girl." He whispered in Japanese, trying to make sure no one could hear it. I could though. How rude and insolent. And I'm a polyglot, I can understand!
Everyone in the room seemed confused, the demon, horoscope, and especially the king. Hari (Hari means King) even seemed a little happy, enough to slightly smirk apparently. The guests were muttering around.
Yuri was signaled to go off stage as he had a quick chat with his family.
I could hear the words "we can't afford to offend them for that worthless girl", "don't do it", "let it go" over and over again. I chose to go back down and sit at the table where I saw my assistant talking to Angelo. I knew they were talking about the excuses I told my assistant to tell Angelo. "Oh, we are planning to invest, we can help, no need for the Hanamitchi cooperation, our boss is interested". I took a sneak peak at Angelo's reaction and it seemed as if he was relieved, but it also seemed like his guard was still up. He looked curious and skeptical at the same time. I was ready to crash out on my family and put on an act. Everyone was silent and they were all staring at me with eyes of guilt.
"You guys knew? You guys were planning to send me off for a cooperation?" I spoke as tears rolled down my face. Thank God I know how to fake cry. I'm a professional. Maybe I should change my career to be an actor with how excellent I can fool people.
First, Tita Gema's explanation came "I'm so sorry Jay, we had no option at first. It was the only way"
Next, Grandma's came "Jay-Jay we are really sorry, we had no choice"
It looked like I was full on crying.
Finally Angelo finished his talk and came back to the table. "Jay-Jay we are truly sorry, we had no choice. But now we don't have to do it. We have another investment offer"
"W-why didn't you guys tell me?!"
"We didn't know when to. We are sorry Jay, but it's okay now." Angelo said, his eyes filled with guilt.
The entire time Aries stayed quiet. I knew he did not want it either. I feel bad for him. Don't worry, soon your name and all of Fer corp's rumors will be cleared.
Since all the guests were still here, they were told to wait and said that it was a misunderstanding. The new year's countdown was soon to begin.
My tears were running out so I stormed out with an expression full of betrayal.
No one followed me. EXCEPT FOR THAT CRAZY KING OF ULUPONGS. UGH SERIOUSLY? CAN'T HE LEAVE ME ALONE FOR 5 SECONDS WHILE I WIPE MY FAKE TEARS AND COME BACK WITH BETTER ACTING.
How could anyone love this person? Wow, is this reflecting? Am I calling myself out?

I ran into the elevator when I felt a hand pull me and I saw his hand press the button to close the door of the elevator.
"Did you know? Do you love Yuri? Do you like him? Did you agree?" He asked as fast as thunder. It came out all like a storm.
"I-I didn't know…I don't know anything..Leave me alone..It was canceled already!" Was my acting good enough? Seriously, I can not be questioning my profession anymore. I'm a fabulous queen.
"Do you like him?"
I stayed silent.
"If you don't reply I will kiss you"

He didn't even wait for me to reply and cupped my cheeks. He pulled me in for a kiss. I let it sink for a little bit and then I bit his lip in return. I could feel his tears falling and I felt mine too. The only difference was that I just applied eye drops before this so they were fake. Actually maybe they were real, I don't know. He got to pull away from my bite, and the elevator door opened slowly. Me and him separated quicker than water and oil.
People started filling in immediately, and I felt a strong gaze on me. Obviously it was Keifer's. The elevator arrived upstairs with a ding and I stepped out. I saw my family there and everyone else arrived too. I chose to ignore them as everyone raised their wine glasses in celebration of the rooster's birthday.
Before the countdown started playing I felt someone's hand drag me somewhere else. KEIFER DO YOU NOT HAVE A SINGLE BIT OF ETIQUETTE?
"LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!" Someone shouted into the mic.
The large digital clock projected onto the screen on a part of the rooftop started working. There are only 30 seconds before the new year.
"Why are you flirting with me? Why are you acting all flirty? Why are you doing this?!"
"I'm not flirty. You're just really numb so you can't get what I wanted to convey." Keifer said, causing my eyebrows to meet. You can't be talking but okay.
"I'm not indifferent; 1 just don't want to make assumptions--like you do. If I believe you have feelings for me, only to find out you don't, then what happens in the end?"
"What if you think that I like you, then it turns out to be true. What's the ending?" Keifer replied.
I was acting stunned. Isn't it obvious you like me? Playing a prank on yourself. Even a blind person can see that!
"See, You're too scared to assume, even if the truth hits you." He said and smirked.
Let me pretend in peace, annoying. How does someone fall in love with such a stupid boy?
"10 SECONDS!" People screamed.
"You kept thinking that I'm still in love with someone else. So you closed your mind to not accept the fact that I might really like you." He said and stepped closer to me.
I just stepped back in time.

"W-why? What is wrong with you?" I asked him bitterly.

"What if I answer 'yes' to your question?" He said and stepped forward again.

"Since you started it.. I'll clear things between us now." He said and smiled.
"6!"
"Wh-what."
"5!!"
"Stop thinking that I'm still in love with someone else. Start thinking that I really like you--! Exactly, that I love you."
Why! Y-my heart!

"K-keifer."
"3!"
"No more... No more Ella. I don't love her" He said, making it the perfect reason for me to look at him.
"2!!"
"..Because, it's you."
"1.! HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
I lost the chance to answer. I couldn't say what I wanted to say. I lost myself when I heard that from him. And I really lost myself. I just found myself inside the restroom and… My mouth was shut! ..deeply responding to Keifer's kiss.
How'd this happen?!? This was not in my script!
