Chapter 241 - Chapter 47: The Death of Tristan

Chapter 47: The Death of Tristan

Three minutes later.

The temporary table tennis setup in the room was quickly assembled. Two square tables were pushed together, a table tennis net was stretched across the middle — and it was done.

The first to join the battle was the Round Table Knight who volunteered — Tristan.

"Alright then, it's my turn!"

Tristan picked up the paddle, and under the worried yet hopeful gazes of the male students, he slowly stepped forward to the table.

On the other side, Scathach already held her paddle, standing calmly with a serious expression.

Facing the mighty opponent whose very name inspired fear, there wasn't a trace of dread on Tristan's face. On the contrary, he raised his fist toward the group of male students.

"Everyone, I'll definitely find a way to buy you time!"

He said,

"After all, I'm a Servant with a green card (Quick). When it comes to mobility and agility, I won't lose to anyone."

"...Can he really win? That sounded exactly like the line someone says right before losing."

Eikou couldn't help but whisper to Gawain beside him.

"Sir Tristan isn't weak at all," Gawain replied. "He's always able to sense the flow of wind around him. Among us, he's the most suitable for playing table tennis."

Though he said that, Gawain's expression still looked heavy.

"It's just… it's very rare for a student to defeat a teacher. The Servant teachers at Chaldea Academy are all granted multiple blessings and buffs, so honestly, I'm not too optimistic about Tristan. The issue isn't whether he'll lose — it's how long he can last."

"I see..."

Eikou clenched his fists tightly.

Hang in there, Tristan. For the sake of me not getting dragged away by those women, everything depends on your skill!

As Eikou thought that, the table tennis match of the party officially began.

Serve!

Tristan's eyes suddenly turned sharp like those of a hawk.

The moment the match began, he swung his arm powerfully — the paddle in his hand cut downward, sending the ping pong ball flying high.

The ball soared through the air, tracing a curved arc, speeding toward Scathach's flank.

That ball was like an arrow loosed from his bow — in an instant, it closed in on Scathach's defense line.

That's… a spinning serve!

In that brief instant, before any of the boys could even speak, they were already stunned by his professional-level table tennis technique.

As expected of Tristan — from his serve to the speed of his swing, everything was flawless. The ping pong ball pierced through Scathach's defensive line in a mere blink.

Tristan was much stronger than they had imagined.

But before the words of admiration could even leave their mouths——

At that very moment, a beautiful purple silhouette appeared, moving with exceptional agility, her paddle sweeping in an almost phantom blur — in an instant, she deflected Tristan's full-power strike.

Scathach had made her move!

The aura she emitted as she swung her paddle was overwhelming — as if even a sharp arrow shot directly at her could be caught effortlessly in her hand.

And what happened next was so fast that no one could even react —

Scathach's crimson eyes widened, her wrist rotated swiftly, carrying a chilling murderous intent as she countered the ball.

Whoosh!

Eikou could almost hear the violent sound of air being torn apart, like a spear being thrown.

It was a counterattack far stronger — and far faster — than Tristan's serve.

No one saw clearly what happened in that instant; only when the ball whizzed past Tristan and the crisp sound of it striking the wall echoed did everyone finally awaken from their daze.

Tristan had been taken down in an instant!

"..."

A drop of cold sweat ran down Eikou's cheek, his face now even paler than Tristan's.

Even though he had known Tristan couldn't win, he hadn't expected Scathach's overwhelming strength to be this terrifying.

Just one ball — and she had completely crushed Tristan. This had nothing to do with blessings or buffs.

Scathach was simply too strong. Even among the faculty, she was undoubtedly top-tier.

"Drink."

Scathach calmly took out a bottle of Water of Life and placed it on the table.

Tristan looked at the 96% alcohol vodka, his face showing sheer terror.

[Your teammate, Tristan, is forced to drink a bottle of Water of Life.]

[Please perform an Endurance check.]

[Tristan's Endurance is B.]

A die rolled above Tristan's head.

[Result: A — check failed.]

[Tristan tries to finish the bottle of Water of Life, but halfway through, he feels dizzy from its potency.]

[When about one-third of the bottle remains, he begins to stagger, his consciousness fading...]

Thud!

Tristan collapsed to the ground, his face flushed red, letting out a small drunken burp. The liquid spilled from the bottle, splashing across the floor — and within seconds, the strong alcohol evaporated completely.

"NOOO! TRISTAAAAN!"

Eikou screamed.

He was the one who had volunteered so boldly before the match, giving that passionate speech — and yet he was the first to fall!

"I'm truly sorry, I've embarrassed everyone… I couldn't defeat Scathach-sensei..."

Tristan was so drunk he could no longer stand, only able to weakly mutter a few words of regret.

"My body… is no longer listening to me. But… I really wanted to be with everyone…"

He let out a sigh filled with deep regret,

"...and eat Sir Gawain's mashed potatoes with Sir Eikou one more time..."

Eat your head! You've never even eaten it before! None of us have ever eaten together either! Not to mention, you even said before that dish wasn't fit for a dog — don't start making up random crap now just because you're about to go down! What if Gawain actually decides to cook it for you now!

He's spouting memories that don't even exist — he's clearly completely drunk.

Gawain, however, looked deeply moved. Wiping away tears, he said: "Sir Tristan, I have felt your indomitable spirit! This time, let me take the next turn!

Your unwillingness — let me, the Knight of the Sun, wash away this humiliation for you!"

[Three minutes later, the invincible Gawain also fell.]

[Gawain only lasted three rounds. To be precise, he drank until the third bottle, then failed the third Endurance check, and unfortunately 'perished'.]

[In just a few short minutes, your team's main warriors had all fallen one after another.]

[Meanwhile, Scathach had yet to drink a single drop of alcohol — and likely never would have to.]

[Now, in your team, only two people remain capable of fighting — you and Charlemagne.]

"..."

Seeing the completely wasted Gawain collapse to the floor, Eikou's palms were slick with sweat.

The situation was truly dire.

The speed at which his teammates were falling was even faster than he imagined — soon it would be his turn.

From the back row, the two milf Servants were staring at him with fiery eyes, as if ready to "devour" him at any moment.

A cold bead of sweat trickled down Eikou's back.

Could it be that his chastity… would forever be buried tonight?

No.

Now was not the time to give up.

"I'll activate my skill 'Instinct', and use intuition to find a way out of this situation!"

A die suddenly fell.

[Instinct great success!]
