Chapter 1 - Chapter 1. Never Riding A Bus Again.

Rin brushed his hair under the dark shade of his hood, holding his new born, Jiyeon, closer to his chest as he stood on the bus. It was moving too fast for him. He'd already thrown up this morning and he couldn't do it again. Neither could Jiyeon.

The scent of worried men and sweat was so overwhelming, Rin thought he might actually. His priority stayed on Jiyeon despite the grunting feeling of his stomach. He rocked her against his chest every time the bus shook, ignoring the way his hand would shake and slip from the mental bar that was too hot for the summer heat as is.

She whimpered quietly and Rin looked down. He kissed her head softly, lips like pillows along her tiny head. Her cheeks still too red and her hair way too long for a baby her age. The bus jerked to a stop. Rin nearly fell but stood his ground as a group of people walked off the bus. He tucked Jiyeon's head deeper into the crook of his neck through the sweater and her carrier.

A new heard of civilians stepped onto the long, already compacted bus. Rin was pushed and shoved more than once and he bit his lip to hold back a sound. He couldn't remember the last time he rode a bus instead of a taxi or getting escorted by clients. He didn't even understand keeping his baby safe in this weird self-attachment carrier.

He cleared his throat as someone's hand accidentally clasped over his on the pole, a figure stood darkly in front of him in all black and thick Doc Martins. A white lanyard hung from his pocket as he muttered an apology. Rin only nodded loosely.

The bus kicked up to start again, rougher than the last time.

And Rin fell straight into the man.

His cheeks were red in seconds from both the impact and the fact that it actually happened. Jiyeon's face squished between their chests. Rin gulped and pulled back immediately. He cradled Jiyeon's face and looked up to apologize.

Seeing the face in front of him, he froze, his face dropping. He stared silently at the face in-front of him.

It was him. From the bar that one night, the guy who took care of Rin in a way the omega had never been cared for before. The guy who told him that it was the best night of his life. The guy who cried out when it was over and asked where Rin was going. As the private escort who usually charged for these escapades got up and started to dress himself once more. The guy who frowned when Rin quietly said he had something else to handle.

That guy was standing right in front of him with a scent patch blending with his tattoos over his neck, his long, silky hair that would shread down his back like waves in a blood ocean was tied back in a messy bun, his chest was still as broad as the night Min has been reminded of every night from just looking at his precious daughter.

"Where'd you get that?"

The alpha piped up, his voice deep and rough from disuse. Rin flushed again as the man pointed at his daughter. His daughter. Their daughter Rin had kept hidden for far too long.

Rin hid her face with the palm of his hand, his hand smooshing her cheeks against his chest. Her little legs didn't scramble and she didn't scratch, she made a soft sound of comfort and snuggled closer.

"W-what, Jang-ssi?"

The man jerked his pointed finger at her. "That. Where'd you get that? Who gave it to you." Rin's eyebrows knitted in practiced confusion.

"What are you talking about? What—what thing?"

"The child. The pup. Where did you get that?" His voice was harsher now. A quiet demand that forced Rin closer. He shielded his child more. He couldn't let her... he couldn't let him take her.

"I—I... nobody gave her to me. She's mine. Why? Are you gonna tell Kiseok? He-he already knows!" Rin spat, his arms tightening around the child he feared would be ripped from his fingers.

The alpha raised an eyebrow. "Is it mine?"

Rin didn't understand why he kept addressing her as it.

"N-no. No—no, she's not." He lied again.

The alpha shook his head. "It smells like me. And I know you pretty well, Rin-ssi." He smiled, those same dimples that Rin spotted on Jiyeon's cheeks this morning poking out. "S-she doesn't smell like you at all. That night meant nothing and nothing came up out of it besides regret." Rin coughed. His words darker than he needed. He didn't regret anything. It was the only time sex felt.. good in his 30 years of life. And Jiyeon was anything but a regret.

The alpha didn't even seem to find that reasoning plausible as he reached out a hand. The same hand that was pointing at Jiyeon a second ago. The same hand that accused her of being 'gifted.'

"Give it." He said flatly. His voice was too deep for it to not come off demanding, threatening.

Rin's bottom lip quivered. He looked around the bus at all the people he wished he could ask for help. His life would be ruined if he even tried. So, he did the most reasonable thing and pulled Jiyeon closer to his chest, backing up just slightly enough to put space between them. "No. She's not yours or an 'it' so leave me alone."

The alpha stepped closer. His presence was roaring even if he made no sound himself. "She's not mine? Then who got you pregnant a year ago, Rin-ah?" Rin closed his eyes. Hard and long.

He didn't want to cry. He didn't want to disgruntle his sleeping baby strapped to his chest. He didn't want to seem weak to this man who clearly thinks he has some right over himself and Jiyeon. He didn't even want to get his job revoked for rolling his eyes at this ludicy.

"Give 'her', now, omega." The man repeated, his tone softer but not gentle. Anything but gentle.

The way he said 'her' was like he was speculating it. Like Rin was lying or hiding the fact she was an actual thing. Not even a thing, a human being with a life to be lived and curated.

Rin shook his head hard. "No. Y—you cannot touch her. I will scream 'rape' if you try." He didn't know where he was going but it seemed to work as the man stepped back a bit.

"Don't do that. You already consented a year ago, you should consent to letting me see my own child that is clearly mine. Her hair is the same color as mine." He pointed out, his finger forming to point at the small pup once more. Rin looked around for help that he'd never get, again. Then, he swallowed, pushing her closer to him. As though he could hide her by inserting her into his ribcage. She didn't whine or wail, which kept the thoughts of him hurting her out the way. "No. Her hair color is mine and you're just overacting."

Rin finally said after too long. The alpha bit the inside of his cheek. He speared a glance towards the windows, outside beside the sunny skies were large skyscrapers and the streets of Seocho-Gu, filled with Kei and Hyundai cars and the bookbags or students. Then, he looked back down at Min and bit his lip. He stared at Jiyeon silently before finally opening his pierced lips.

"No, that's definitely mine. And your natural hair isn't even that dark. I saw your pictures when you first—" He paused and looked around. "When you first joined our team. And your hair was honey brown to put it lightly." Rin's eyes widened at the fact the man even knew that. And specified on it.

Sure, a lot of people have seen Rin's brown hair that he only kept for three years when he first got scouted. But he'd worn blond and pink more than he did anything else, not even clothes. Why did..

Rin cleared his throat and waved his index finger, silently saying 'no.'

"It's—her hair—is not yours—creep. Leave me alone, now." He tried to turn and his eyes were met with the sweaty back of a large man. He almost gagged but held back, only cinching his daughter tighter and strengthening his hooks on the metal bar.

Neither he or the alpha behind him spoke for a good while. The only sounds in Rin's ears being his heartbeat, Jiyeon's rather calm heartbeat, the AC of the vehicle and the sound of others conversations.

Then the bus came to a stop. Rin silently prayed the man would finally leave. That was yet to happen. So Rin just cleared his throat and looked at his baby, his precious, precious baby.

The bus un-cramped a bit and Rin sighed softly as the sweaty back in front of him finally moved.

Then, his arm was grabbed. Actually, no, his entire body was dragged out of the transportation resource within seconds. He felt like his skin was melting off as his daughter's head smacked against his chest in a way where he felt it himself. He wanted to yell, to yelp and cry but held couldn't, his vocal cord fell numb as his daughter let out a yelp herself. Despite being dragged off a literal bus, he still managed to hold her head.

Finally, the moving stopped and he was forced to turn around. They were outside now, his converses slapped the concrete harshly. He choked as he was facing the man who just dragged him in public like he was nothing. He wanted to cry. The first thing he did was push the man, his anger overriding the fear.

"You could've given her shaking baby syndrome, you fucking bastard! What if she got hurt! What if your pup you seem so worried about suddenly got hurt! What if—you're a shitty man, Jang, a real shitty—"

"Man. I heard you the first time."

It only enraged Rin more. He stood on his tiptoes as he pushed the man harder. He expected a slap or a hit back but it didn't even make him fear. Except... he didn't get it at all. All the man did was take the hit. Both times. He didn't fight back or even try, just took it like Rin took knot.

Rin looked away, turning his back as he unlatched a whimpering Jiyeon from his chest. Her little face was red as cherries, quiet tears streaming down her cheeks. Rin kissed the tears away while subconsciously leaking pheromones.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so rough."

The voice from behind spoke up, finally sounding guiltily for something. Min only shook his head as he whispered things to his babygirl. The man behind gulped, he took a step closer. Rin could see and feel it. The way his shadow got bigger in an unnatural way and the fact that Rin felt himself cowering.
