Heavy footsteps shook the ground. Stones fell from the ceiling of the hallway as the figure emerged from the shadows—a six-meter-tall giant with a body of aged steel, eyes glowing blue, and a chest that pulsed with holy light.
Ghol'mir.
An Ancient Guardian created by the hands of the Gods to guard the fragments of the Great Light. Once, he was a protector of the world, but now, he is but a shadow of the past, trapped by an eternal command: kill all who approach the artifact.

Lynne murmured fearfully. "This… is no ordinary creature…"
Verchiel stepped forward. His gaze was sharp, his tiny body motionless even as the floor cracked beneath Ghol'mir's feet.
"Identification: Heir of Light detected. Status: Unverified. Initiating elimination."
His shoulders shifted, the sound of metal scraping echoed. A light-engraved weapon emerged from Ghol'mir's back—a giant sacred sword once wielded by the archangels guarding heaven.
BOOM!
Ghol'mir leaped, the ground exploding.
Verchiel activated [Light Illusion]—leaving behind a false image that Ghol'mir destroyed with a single slash.
> "Fast... but slow in the mind."
Verchiel jumped back, dodging. His hand formed a small spear of light. He threw it at Ghol'mir's right eye—it hit, but only created a spark.
> [Damage: 132]
[Enemy HP: 41200/42000]
> "...Damn. That's too hard."
Ghol'mir roared. The floor shook. He swung his sword sideways—one swing destroyed four stone pillars.
Verchiel was thrown, his body slamming into the wall.
> [HP - 200]
> "Damn... just one hit."
Lynne screamed, trying to run toward him, but Verchiel raised his hand.
"Don't bother me. I'm... just getting started.
[Flashback] - In The Light Of The Past
As his body sank into the rubble, something within Verchiel activated.
White light filled his mind. In an instant, he was in another place—a world high above the clouds, where golden buildings floated, and the sky was always ablaze.
Before him, ten gods stood, surrounding a large table.
"This weapon will become one with you, Verchiel," said a red-winged god—Camael, the Sun God.
"This is no mere tool. It is a symbol of the Great Light you carry," said Michael, the God of War.
The young Verchiel—regal in his luminous white robes—stood calmly in the center.
"Give it to me. I don't want a weapon. I want something that can destroy darkness… even when I have no power."
Light exploded from the altar. From celestial metal and star fragments, the weapon took shape: NOVA, a spear capable of cleaving darkness and purifying chaos.
"From now on, you will bear the hope of the world."
Back to the Present
Verchiel opened his eyes.

Light flowed from his body. Ghol'mir stopped.
"Detection: Authentic Holy Light... Re-Verifying..."— ERROR — System conflict —
Verchiel rose slowly, his body wounded, but his aura changed.
"I don't care if you're a robot, a guard, or a former servant of the gods. But if you stand in my way..."
> "...I will make you burn for the last time."
He raised his hand.
> [Light Spear Lv. 1] → enhanced by Pure Light
A new spear appeared—larger, swirling with pure white energy. Verchiel threw—and this time, it pierced Ghol'mir's armor, shattering his shoulder.
BOOM!
> [Critical Hit! 1210 Damage]
[Enemy HP: 37900/42000]
Ghol'mir roared. He rushed at Verchiel, but the little boy moved at the speed of light. He appeared on his right side, blasting a beam of light at Ghol'mir's knee. A dazzling explosion filled the underground space.
Lynne, watching from afar, was speechless.
> "...That's... Light magic... but... it's not ordinary magic…"
> "Who is this child...?"
Ghol'mir Becomes Fierce
Ghol'mir invoked his active mode. His body burned with an ancient light spell. He grew in size. Two blades of light appeared on his back, forming a cross.
> [Seraphim Mode: Active]
[Temporary Level Up: 36]
Verchiel retreated. "...Damn, seraphim mode? You're serious…"
But he didn't back down.
> "Okay. I'm only level 19. But if I can't win, I'll kill you together."
His hands formed a magic circle of light. But not to attack.
> [Secret Skill: Confinement Light]
→ Binds the target in a field of light for 3 seconds
Three seconds. That's enough.
Verchiel held the field. Ghol'mir was frozen in midair. Verchiel leaped upwards and thrust his hand into Ghol'mir's chest.
> "Give me back my fragment."
Light seeped from Ghol'mir's chest into Verchiel's hand.
> [Signature Weapon Fragment (3/7) Obtained!]
[Level +1 → 20]
Ghol'mir's body slowly exploded, then dimmed like a dying candle.
Dust of light flew. Silence filled the room.
Verchiel fell to the floor, exhausted.

A Dumbfounded Lynne
A few minutes later, Lynne ran over. She saw the boy's body, covered in wounds, but still, and in his hand... the faint glow of a white spear.
"You... who are you?"
Verchiel opened his eyes.
> "...A boy. 13 years old. The banished possessor of light. And... the one who just kicked the ass of a Class 32 holy robot."
Lynne froze. "That's... impossible. You're not an ordinary human..."
"It doesn't matter. What matters now... is giving me the one thing that's hard to find in a place like this."
"What?"
Verchiel smiled.
> "Drinking water."
